South Of Midnight Chapter 6 Collectibles
South of Midnight Chapter 6 has 14 collectibles: 1 Magic Object, 1 Pattern, 11 Readables, and 1 Storybook. The Magic Object and Storybook are automatically collected as you progress through the story, but you’ll need to locate the 11 Readables yourself. Below is a walkthrough to help you find them.

1. Reach Bunny Flood’s Cottage
Chapter 6 of South of Midnight begins at a wooden dock, where Catfish dropped off Hazel. Follow the path to a broken bridge, where you can grapple across the river. Drop down at the other side to cross the river. There will be obsturctions that can be removed with “Strand Push”.
Further along is a bridge that can be summoned before reaching a Haith combat zone with a Stigma. But before entering the combat, turn to the right of it, where you can see a task for Crouton. There is a burrow. Unblock it with Strand Push, then summon Crouton to get inside.
Next, turn right again to the river, where you can interact with the broken bridge to get some story-related information about “the mountain”. Turn around and follow the path through the field of reeds. There is an overgrowth barrier at the end. Destroy it to find a Floof.
Now it’s time to fight the Haith and destroy the Stigma. After that, visit the pier by the river, where you can flip a metal sheet for Floof.
Keep following the path now. Before interacting with the Memory Object in the path ahead, have a look to the right first and climb up a ledge.
There, avoid the explosive mushrooms and the thorny bushes to climb up another ledge, perform a wall run to reach a Floof.
From up there, where the Floof is/was, you can look down and see another Floof, in case you missed it on the way up.
1/10 – Keep Out Sign Materials – Readables Collectible
Return to the Memory Object and interact with it. Follow the path to the left, which is overgrown with thorns, so you have to be careful while maneuvering. Also, watch out for explosive mushrooms. At the end of the path, there is a boat in the water. Use it to cross over to the other side, where you can find the first Readables Collectible of Chapter 6: Hush, Hush, Sweet Cherie. It’s on top of the wooden crate right after the boat.
Next, summon a wall for a wall-run and continue to follow the path at the other end of it. Right after the wall-run, look to the left to find an overgrown passage. Destroy the growth to pass through it. Perform a double grapple to get to the Floof at the far end.
Return to the main path and follow it to a Stigma infestation. There is a barn to the left that you can Strand Push and open.
Go through the barn and exit at the other end, where you can flip a metal sheet and use Crouton on the glowing hole to destroy the Stigma. Make sure to avoid anything red. There are crawling red bugs and thorny bushes.
Health Filament & 2/10 – Abernathy’s Lament – Readables Collectible
With another Stigma destroyed, Hazel can continue to reach the Flood Cottage. Right after the barn, summon a cart, push it forward, and climb it to reach the barn’s roof. Up there, destroy the barrier and enter the barn, where you can find a Health Filament and a Readables Collectible – 2/10.
Now Hazel is definitely following the Strand to reach the Flood Cottage. Avoid the spikey bushes and use the grapple to get over the thorny growths. On the other side, there is another thorny growth parkour where you have to avoid the thorns and the explosive mushrooms. The Flood Cottage is in sight afterwards.
Let’s not go to the Flood Cottage yet. Instead, turn right at the crossing, where you can find a Floof just by the road.
Directly across from the previous Floof, you’ll find a burrow for Crouton to enter. Simply climb up and throw Crouton toward the hole. Then take over and enter. Collect the Floof at the top of the tunnel.
3/10 – Burn after Reading – Readables Collectible
Before entering the Cottage, turn left at the gates toward the water. There is a Stigma fighting zone there. Clear it and look for a wooden crate with the 3/10 Readables Collectible on it.
2. Clear 3 Stigma Around the Cottage
In this next section of Chapter 6, Hazel has to find and clear three Stigma at the Flood Cottage. But first, climb the rocks directly to the left of the gate inside the Cottage grounds to find a Floof.
Follow the path down to the river to reach the first Stigma Fighting zone. After clearing it, you’ll find a story-related toy on the floor nearby to inspect. Look around in the former fighting zone. There is a metal sheet to flip for Floof.
Return to the garden. Before entering the Stigma fighting zone there, stay on the left to find another Floof near the garden fence, under a tree.
Now, clear the Stigma at the pavilion and interact with the tea set on the table to get more of the story. But there is nothing more at the pavilion. In the back garden of the Cottage is a little gardening shed. At the back of it, remove the boards and let Crouton inside to collect the Floof.
4/10 – Correction Requested – Readables Collectible
Nearby is the bee hive with Readables Collectible 4/10.
Before taking care of the last Stigma, have a look at the washing line to have some extra story content. After destroying all 3 Stigmas, Hazel has to pass through a chasing sequence in order to continue with Chapter 6: Hush, Hush, Sweet Cherie.
3. Investiage the Cottage
With the Stigmas gone, the Flood Cottage can be entered.
5/10 – Notes on the Rougarou – Readables Collectible
In the ground floor lounge is the 5/10 Readables Collectible on top of a big book on the coffee table.
You can interact with the piano and the raccoon in the lounge for some extra story. Stay on the ground floor and head to the dining room, where Hazel can look at a raccoon painting and interact with a big boar head in the top corner of the room.
Go to the kitchen. The “Bless your Heart” picture can be interacted with. There is also a Baking Contest poster that can be inspected. The door opposite the kitchen is closed but damaged. Let Crouton have a look and collect the Floof in this room.
In the hall is a painting of a “Pure Pine” building to interact with before going upstairs. At the left side is a children’s bedroom at the end of the hall with a tree wall painting to interact with. Additionally, there is a painting of Cherie on the wall and her crib to inspect. You can also look out of the window.
In the room next to Cherie’s is a stuffed animal on the bare mattress of the bed. There’s also a painting of Hazel’s dad and a painting of dad with Cherie on the wall.
4. Investigate Bunny’s Room
The master bedroom is Bunny’s Room. Inspect the painting of her next to the bedroom door. There is also a painting of her in a wedding dress.
6/10 – Bunny’s Journal – Readables Collectible
Readables collectible 6/10 is on the left bedside table.
7/10 – Notes on Dreams and Fog – Readables Collectible
Readables collectible 7/10 is on the right bedside table.
Look for the bunny statue on the drawer unit and interact with it. Like in Chapter 1, this will open a secret bookshelf passage that Hazel can now enter.
5. Investigate the Clues
Before starting to look for clues, pick up the Readables Collectible first. If you collect all the clues before doing that, you won’t be able to pick it up anymore.
8/10 – Missing Children List – Readables Collectible
The Readable Collectible is at the sewing machine near the window.
Here are the clues: Take a close look at the wooden growth on one side of the room—this piece is called Benji. Next, check out the photographs on the wall labeled “No one saw him leave.” Don’t overlook the collection of Missing Kids posters or the area with the red yarn. Also, take a moment to examine the posters about the Distaff and the patterns.
Bunny enters the room and realizes that Hazel is a Weaver. Hazel changes into a new outfit, and the two sit down to talk.
6. Follow the Path through the Mountain
After the conversation with Bunny, Hazel is leaving the Cottage and is now locked out. Follow the path ahead – this gate to the mountains was locked before.
9/10 – Burrowers Hate a Liar – Readables Collectible
Cross the area with the thorny growth and the explosive mushrooms. Look for a hollow tree to the right side and interact with it to receive Readables Collectible 9/10.
In the area with the previous Readables collectible, look around for a grapple. Use it to get to the other side and follow the dangerous, thorny path to the Floof.
Head back to the main path where you found Readables collectible 9/10. Continue along the path until you hear Catfish in the distance. Follow the sound to find them. After the cutscene where they talk about Bunny, return to the path through the mountain. Keep going past the explosive mushrooms until you reach a more difficult parkour section with two grapples and a wall run ahead.
Before you do that, look around and summon a bridge first to cross it and take care of the Stigma in the cave ahead.
10/10 – Huggin’ Molly Sightings – Readables Collectible
Once the corruption is gone, look for a wooden crate with Readables Collectible 10/10 sitting on top.
Leave through the only exit to pick up a Floof at the top. Then, drop down to climb the mountain to reach the Tangle at the top. Heads up: After the wall run you can flip a metal sheet for Floof.
