South Of Midnight Chapter 10 Collectibles
South of Midnight Chapter 10 has only 6 collectibles: 5 Readables, and 1 Storybook. The Storybook is automatically collected as you progress through the story, but you’ll need to locate the 5 Readables yourself. Below is a walkthrough to help you find them.

1. Follow The Strands in South of Midnight
After Bunny pushes Hazel into the abyss in Chapter 9, Hazel wakes up in the dream world known as the Grand Tapestry. Follow the strand to talk to Roux. Hazel awakes next to Crouton in a dark swamp where Catfish finds her.
2. Recover Your Lost Items
Check your inventory, and you will find that the Spindle is gone. To find it, follow the dark path until you reach another of the Magic Objects.
Follow the path and use the log to drop down to the next area. You’ll find a Floof there.
Squeeze through a gap next to keep looking for your stuff. Hazel will come across her first Flytrap on this path.
3. Recover Your Lost Items and Follow the Ghosts
Hazel encounters the ghost Weaver again from Chapter 2 and decides to follow them after retrieving her belongings.
Next, use a Flytrap to cross the swamp. Step onto its mouth, but move quickly to get to the other side. Up ahead, you’ll encounter Catfish again. The Strand will point you towards a short climb, but instead, turn left. Cross the log and climb to the right to find a Floof high up on a ledge.
It’s time to find the spindle. Walk over a root to reach the first Stigma area in this chapter. Destroy it, then climb the small ledge ahead—it’s the only way forward. Continue on this path until Hazel feels that her spindles are close.
1/5 – Hope’s Crossing Homecoming – Readables Collectible in South of Midnight
If you were following the Strand, stop and turn left when it curves to the right. Here, you’ll find a Floof and the first Readables collectible of Chapter 10.
Go back to following the Strand and send Crouton into the burrows. Walk all the way to the end to exit and pick up one of the spindles. This will give you some abilities back.
Use your grapple to cross the swamp and reach an area with ruined houses and explosive mushrooms. You’ll likely see a Floof high up in one of the houses. Turn right into the ruined barn.
2/5 – Sleep and Smoke – Readables Collectible
On the wall, you’ll find 2 out of 5 Readables collectible drawn on the barn wall.
Destroy the roots in the barn to unlock a path leading to the Floof in the other house.
After grabbing the Floof, head back to the ground floor and follow the Strand. You’ll see the ghosts guiding you up a small wall. Follow them past the explosive mushrooms and a grapple over the swamp to the second Stigma in Chapter 10 of South of Midnight. To find the knot, look for this little Crouton passage. Send him through to destroy the Stigma.
Leave the Stigma area through a gap in the wall, where Hazel can spot her spindle covered in Stigma. Cross the nearby bridge and send Crouton into the Burrows. Destroy the Stigma inside and collect the final spindles to become whole again.
Health Filament in Chapter 10 South of Midnight
Make a roof appear and cross over the swamp, where Hazel spots a yellow glow in one of the ruins. But don’t turn right yet. Turn left to find the Health Figament, only a grapple away.
Follow the path toward the right side. You will also spot a Floof ahead. As soon as you get close to the yellow glow, Hazel will identify it as a bonfire, hoping this would be the way out of the swamp.
4. Fill the Bonfire with 4 Fireflies
There are 4 trees with fireflies in the area. Hazel needs to interact with them to collect the Fireflies. Interact with the glowing tree near the ruined building to collect the fireflies.
3/5 – A Close Call – Readables Collectible
Nearby stands a large, old building. Hazel wonders if this could be the settlement Catfish mentioned. Activate the staircase and enter the house to discover a drawing on the interior walls.
Walk past the Hope’s Crossing mural and use a Flytrap ahead to cross the swamp over two of them to find a Floof.
Nearby is a building that can be entered with Crouton to find some more fireflies. Destroy the planks blocking the path and summon Crouton to collect them. Return to the first firefly tree.
4/5 – A Grand Wedding – Readables Collectible
To the right of the first firefly tree, you can head down to the water. From there, use the grapple to cross the swamp to a ruined building. Inside, you’ll find Readables 4/5 on the wall.
Cross over where the stones and explosive mushrooms are. Here, you can throw Crouton over across the swamp to a firefly tree. Pick up the fireflies with Crouton.
Using the screenshot above as a reference, move to the right in this screenshot. Walk up the root to reach the Floof in the center of the settlement.
The last firefly tree is south of the first one, in an area Hazel can’t reach. Toss Crouton across to collect the final firefly. Inside the house, drop down in the crawlspace to enter a burrow. Watch out for the ants and exit through the borrow at the top to collect the fireflies.
5. Investigate the Bonfire in South of Midnight
Return to the center of the settlement, where Hazel first saw a tree with the fireflies. Crouton can enter this glowing bonfire at the back. Inside, interact with the glow. It will call a big creature – the Honey Island Swamp Monster.
6. Play with Honey
Hazel is playing a round of hide-and-seek with Honey. They are hiding close to the grapple to Readables collectible 4/5.
In the second round, Hazel heads to the spot where I found the fourth firefly. From there, she can cross to the left, walk past an explosive mushroom, and use a double grapple to reach a Floof. Honey is hiding here.
In the third round, Honey is visible from a distance.
7. Follow Honey
Honey will now show Hazel a way out of the swamp, opening up a new path to Honey’s Home.
8. Tour Honey’s Home
Inside Honey’s Home, look around.
5/5 – The Flower Child – Readables Collectible
Readables Collectible 5/5 can be found as a drawing on the wall inside Honey’s home.
A Floof can also be found in Honey’s home.
Examine Honey, the toys, and the drawing of a mother and child on the wall. Once Honey falls asleep, interact with the fire to finish chapter 10.
