Rise of the Ronin Honcho Map

All collectibles show up on your map once you reach Area Bond Level 3 in Honcho. You raise the Area Bond by restoring Public Order, raising Veiled Edge Banners and finding collectibles. Nothing in Honcho is missable, so you can also come back after the story.

Honcho Veiled Edge Banners

Veiled Edge Banners are save and fast travel points. As soon as you restore the Public Order, the banners are revealed on the map.

1. Yamashita Border Veiled Edge Banner

Location: Southeastern corner of Honcho, at the border to Yamashita

The first banner sits in the southeastern corner of Honcho, right at the border to Yamashita.

2. Photographic Studio Veiled Edge Banner

Location: In front of the Photographic Studio

You visit the Photographic Studio during the main mission “Follow your Blade Twin”. The banner stands right in front of the studio.

3. Tower by the Water Veiled Edge Banner

Location: Top of the tower overlooking the water

Use the grappling hook a couple of times to climb the tower. Look for the next grapple point after each swing, as some of them are in the air. The ship with Treasure Chest 5 is right next to this tower.

4. Sea Side Co. Tower Veiled Edge Banner

Location: Tower inside the Sea Side Co. Public Order area in the west

The tower stands inside the Sea Side Co. Public Order area. Climb up to the roof next to the tower, jump across and use the grapple points to reach the top.

Honcho Public Order – Sea Side Co.

Location: Sea Side Co. facility in the west of Honcho

Public Order events are areas occupied by enemies. Defeat all of them to restore order, raise your Area Bond and reveal the Veiled Edge Banners on the map.

Bandits occupy the Sea Side Co. facility in the west of Honcho. Kill all of them to restore order. One of them carries the Rusty Key for the storehouse with Treasure Chest 1. Treasure Chest 2 and the Sea Side Co. banner are here too.

Honcho Fugitive – Gennai Inoko

Location: Under a tree in a garden in the center of Honcho

Fugitives are bounty targets you have to find and defeat. You need 50 of the 91 Fugitives in the game for the Keeper of the Peace trophy.

Honcho Landmarks

Landmarks are important places you only have to visit. Honcho has 4 of them, and three lead you straight to more collectibles.

1. Yokohama Grand Villa

Location: Big church-like building in the south of Honcho

Enter the building to collect the Landmark. The Official who hands out the Fugitive bounties is here too. The cat on the Grand Villa tower is right above you.

2. Zonohana Pier

Location: Pier with the foreign ships in the northwest of Honcho

Head to the pier with the foreign ships in the northwest of the region. The Zonohana Pier cat sits at the end of the pier.

3. English House No. 1

Location: Building with a big garden in the center of Honcho

English House No. 1 is an impressive building with a beautiful garden in the center of Honcho. The calico cat is in the estate just west of it.

4. Yokohama Town Hall Clock Tower

Location: South of Honcho, at the border to Miyozaki

Get close enough to the tower to collect the Landmark. Come back once you have the glider for Treasure Chest 4 at the top. The tower is at the border to Miyozaki.

Honcho Shrine Location

Location: Flower garden in the east of Honcho

The Shrine is in a beautiful flower garden in the east of Honcho.

Honcho Cat Locations

Cats are real cats you need to pet, not statues. Listen for meowing, which means one is close. Calico cats run off if you are noisy, so sneak up on them. You need all 100 cats in the game for the Cats Over All trophy, and you can trade them for rewards at the cat vendor in Yokohama.

1. Cat on the Yokohama Grand Villa Tower

Location: Top of the Yokohama Grand Villa tower

This orange cat climbed all the way up the tower of the Yokohama Grand Villa.

• Go to the back garden of the Grand Villa and grapple up the wooden scaffolding.
• From the top of the scaffolding, grapple onto the roof to reach the base of the tower.
• Grapple your way around the tower to the top, where the cat is waiting.

2. Zonohana Pier Cat

Location: End of Zonohana Pier in the northwest of Honcho

This orange cat sits at the very end of Zonohana Pier.

3. Calico Cat West of English House No. 1

Location: Small side building of the estate west of English House No. 1

West of English House No. 1 is an estate with a big main building and a small side building. The calico cat is inside the smaller one. Crouch and walk as slowly as possible, or it runs away before you can pet it.

Honcho Treasure Chest Locations and Rewards

Honcho has 5 Treasure Chests. Two are at Sea Side Co., and the others are behind the Photographic Studio, on top of the Clock Tower and on a ship.

1. Sea Side Co. Storehouse – Sailor’s Uniform

Location: Locked storehouse at Sea Side Co.

Restore the Sea Side Co. Public Order and kill all the bandits. One of them carries the Rusty Key for the storehouse. Open the chest inside to get the Sailor’s Uniform and the Treatise on Intellect.

2. Sea Side Co. Upper Floor – Dawn Saber

Location: Inside the Sea Side Co. building, above the storehouse

The second chest is in the same building, just above the storehouse. Climb onto the roof of the structure next to it to get inside, as shown in the screenshot below. The chest holds the Dawn Saber.

3. Behind the Photographic Studio – Bestowed Odachi

Location: Locked house behind the Photographic Studio

Behind the Photographic Studio is a house with a door locked from the inside. There are two grapple points nearby, one opposite the locked door and one a bit to the east. Grapple up at the eastern one to find a way into the house. The chest holds the Bestowed Odachi.

4. Yokohama Town Hall Clock Tower – Diehard’s Headband

Location: Top of the Yokohama Town Hall Clock Tower

You need the glider for this one.

• Climb onto the town hall roof using the climb and grapple points.
• Look for rings with white flags and a glider symbol on the roof.
• Grapple one of them to launch into the air, then glide toward one of the tower grapple points.
• Grapple your way up to the chest. It holds the Diehard’s Headband.

5. The Ship – Foreign Book

Location: On board the ship next to the tower by the water

Travel to the Veiled Edge Banner on the tower by the water. Jump toward the ship nearby and glide over to it. The chest on board holds a Foreign Book.

Honcho Photography – Path to the Ocean

Location: Road along the coast

“Take a photograph of the foreign ships from the road that runs along the coast.”

Stand at the spot shown on the map and look toward the sea. The center circle has to turn red before you take the photo. Photography spots count toward the Sightseer trophy.
