Step 1: Accept the Job at the Photographic Studio
Canine Catcher is one of the four photographer jobs in Yokohama. You can take them once you have the camera, which you get from the inventor Igashichi Iizuka after recovering his stolen blueprints. Accept the job from the Photographer at his Photographic Studio in Honcho. The Photographic Studio Veiled Edge Banner is right at his shop.
Step 2: Go to the Sodegaura Search Area
Head to Sodegaura, north of Yokohama town. With the mission active, a large yellow search area shows up in the center of the Sodegaura map. It covers almost the whole region. While you’re in Sodegaura, you can also take the region’s Picturesque Scene photo.
The Lost Dogs Clue
Open your mission menu to read the job from Yoshiemon Inuyama:
One of my servants took the dogs out for a walk, and accidently let them loose! Can you believe it? Fortunately, my dogs are highly intelligent, and won’t follow just anyone, so if somebody would locate their whereabouts, I will go fetch them myself. Oh, and just so you know, they are rather fond of flowers.

Unlike the other photographer jobs, Canine Catcher shows no camera markers on the map. As soon as you enter the yellow circle, the objective changes to “Take a photograph of some dogs”. Keep the last line of the clue in mind: the dogs are fond of flowers, so watch out for flower patches while you search.
Step 3: Find and Photograph All 4 Dogs
There are four dogs to photograph. Take out your camera and get close to each dog until the circle in the middle turns red, then take the photo.
Dog 1: Barking Dog on the Beach
This dog stands on top of a rock at the beach, cornered by a group of boars. Kill the boars first, then get close enough to take the photo. The dog only barks, it won’t bite.
Dog 2: Sleeping Dog on the Shed (West)
In the west of the search area, a dog is fast asleep on top of a small wooden shed.
Dog 3: Digging Dog by the Statues (South)
In the south of the search area, a dog is digging between some statues, looking for something.
Dog 4: Eating Dog by the Log (North)
In the north of the search area, look for a big tree log. This dog has just hunted an animal and is eating it there.
Step 4: Return to the Photographic Studio
Once you have photographed all four dogs, return to the Photographic Studio in Honcho to hand in the photos and collect your reward.
