All collectibles show up on your map once you reach Area Bond Level 3 in Honmoku. You raise the Area Bond by restoring Public Order, raising Veiled Edge Banners and finding collectibles. Nothing in Honmoku is missable, so you can also come back after the story.
Honmoku Veiled Edge Banners
Veiled Edge Banners are save and fast travel points. As soon as you restore a Public Order, the banners are revealed on the map.
1. Northern Village Veiled Edge Banner
Location: Center of the northern village
Restore the Public Order in the northern village first. Once the village is free, raise the banner in its center.
2. Eastern Coast Veiled Edge Banner
Location: Viewpoint high up on the eastern coast
Climb up to the viewpoint on the mountain at the eastern coast and raise the banner overlooking the sea. The Honmoku Shrine is right below this banner.
Honmoku Public Order Events
Public Order events are areas occupied by enemies. Defeat all of them to restore order, raise your Area Bond and reveal the Veiled Edge Banners on the map.
1. Northern Village Public Order
Location: The village in the north of Honmoku
Defeat every enemy occupying the northern village to restore Public Order. This also unlocks the Veiled Edge Banner in the village center.
2. Southern Mountain Camp Public Order
Location: Camp in the mountains in the south of Honmoku
There is an enemy camp in the south of the region. Kill all the occupiers to restore Public Order.
Honmoku Fugitives – Nabenoshin and Kipp the Carrier
Fugitives are bounty targets you have to find and defeat. You need 50 of the 91 Fugitives in the game for the Keeper of the Peace trophy.
1. Nabenoshin at the Juniten Shrine
Location: Inside the Juniten Shrine in the east of Honmoku
Nabenoshin is easy to find, since he is not hiding at all. Visit the Juniten Shrine Landmark and you find him sitting inside the shrine, waiting for you.
2. Kipp the Carrier
Location: Campfire on the island in the east of Honmoku, at night only
Kipp the Carrier sits at the campfire on the island in the east of the region. He only shows up at night.
Kipp the Carrier Not Spawning? How to Make It Night
If Kipp is not there, it is still daytime. Follow the main story until you get your Longhouse in Yokohama. Rest there until nighttime, then travel to the island and find Kipp at the campfire.
Juniten Shrine Landmark
Location: Juniten Shrine in the east of Honmoku
Landmarks are important places you only have to visit. Honmoku has just one, the Juniten Shrine. Walk up to it to collect it. While you are there, grab the Fugitive Nabenoshin and the Treasure Chest at the entrance.
How to Get to the Honmoku Shrine
Location: Eastern coast of Honmoku, below the Eastern Coast Veiled Edge Banner
You need the glider for this one, so follow the main story until you can glide. There are two ways to reach the shrine.
Route 1: Glide from the Beach
Go to the beach west of the shrine and defeat the soldiers there. Use the grappling hook to climb the wooden construct behind them, then glide over to a small island with a white flag and a ladder. From there, grapple a couple more times to reach the shrine.
Route 2: Climb Down from the Veiled Edge Banner
Fast travel to the Eastern Coast Veiled Edge Banner. The shrine sits right below it, so carefully climb down the cliff to reach it.
Honmoku Cat Locations
Cats are real cats you need to pet, not statues. Listen for meowing, which means one is close. Calico cats run off if you are noisy, so sneak up on them. You need all 100 cats in the game for the Cats Over All trophy, and you can trade them for rewards at the cat vendor in Yokohama.
1. Western Farm Cat
Location: Roof of a farm west of the main village, near the region border
The cat sits on top of a farm roof near the border of the region. Walk up the hill next to the farm and jump onto the roof to pet it.
2. Northern Village Cat
Location: Roof of the northernmost house in the village, near the apothecary
This cat sits on the northernmost house of the village, close to the apothecary. Climb the scaffolding behind the house to reach it.
Honmoku Treasure Chest – Retainer’s Headband
Location: Right next to the entrance of the Juniten Shrine
The only Treasure Chest in Honmoku is at the Juniten Shrine Landmark, right next to the door leading inside. Open it to get the Retainer’s Headband.
