Rise of the Ronin Sodegaura Map
The in-game map with all 7 Sodegaura collectibles marked. Click the map to open it in full size.
All collectibles show up on your map once you reach Area Bond Level 3 in Sodegaura. You raise the Area Bond by restoring Public Order, raising Veiled Edge Banners and finding collectibles. Nothing in Sodegaura is missable, so you can also come back after the story.
Sodegaura Veiled Edge Banner
Veiled Edge Banners are save and fast travel points. Sodegaura has only one, and it is easy to spot.
Center Sodegaura Veiled Edge Banner
Location: Center of the map, right by the road
The only Veiled Edge Banner in Sodegaura stands in the center of the map, just by the road. You can’t miss it.
Sodegaura Public Order Event
Public Order events are areas occupied by enemies. Defeat all of them to restore order, raise your Area Bond and strengthen your bond with the villagers.
Southern Settlement Public Order
Location: The settlement in the south of Sodegaura
The only Public Order event in Sodegaura is at the settlement in the south of the map. There are five bandits, one of them a formidable foe. Once the settlement is free, grab the Southern Settlement Treasure Chest in one of the houses.
How to Get to the Sodegaura Shrine
Location: On the island far off the beach
You need the glider for this one. Climb onto the Tower Roof where the Sodegaura cat sits and glide over to the island. Grapple onto the kites flying in the air on the way, or you won’t make it all the way.
On the island, the old bridge to the shrine has collapsed. Use the grapple point at the platform high up, then glide over to the shrine and pray. The ship with the second Treasure Chest is anchored nearby.
Sodegaura Cat Location
Cats are real cats you need to pet, not statues. Listen for meowing, which means one is close. You need all 100 cats in the game for the Cats Over All trophy, and you can trade them for rewards at the cat vendor in Yokohama.
Tower Roof Cat
Location: Roof of the only tower in Sodegaura
The only cat in Sodegaura sits on the roof of the region’s only tower. Use the grapple point to get up there and pet it. Stay on the roof afterwards, because this is also the starting point to glide over to the Shrine.
Sodegaura Treasure Chests
Treasure Chests are big black and gold chests. Sodegaura has two, and one of them holds a Foreign Book.
1. Southern Settlement Chest – Foreign Book
Location: Inside one of the houses in the southern settlement
Restore the Southern Settlement Public Order first. Then look for this Treasure Chest inside one of the houses. Open it to get a Foreign Book and the Go-Getter’s Button Boots.
2. Ship Chest – Scroll of Charm
Location: On board the ship anchored near the Shrine island
After praying at the Shrine, glide over to the ship anchored nearby. The Treasure Chest is on board. Open it to get the Scroll of Charm.
