Spider-Man 2 Downtown Brooklyn Spider-Bots and 100% Completion Guide

Downtown Brooklyn Activities Map

The in-game map with all 17 Downtown Brooklyn activities marked. Downtown Brooklyn is in the very south of the New York City map and includes Coney Island. Click the map to open it in full size.

The activities reward you with Tech Parts, Rare Tech Parts and City Tokens, and a full district completion adds extra Hero Tokens. Some of them can also be started from the FNSM App by swiping your controller or opening it in the in-game menu. For the neighbouring district, check out Little Odessa with 12 activities.

All 4 Downtown Brooklyn Spider-Bot Locations

There are 4 Spider-Bots in Downtown Brooklyn, numbered as on the map below: Mysterio between the funfair and the park, Peni Parker in the northeast corner, Sensational Spider-Man under the highway in the west and Superior under the train tracks at Coney Island. They never show on the big map, but send out a pulse when you get close.

1. Mysterio Spider-Bot

Location: Rooftop courtyard of a tall building between the Coney Island funfair and the park

Mysterio is hiding very well. Get on top of one of the tall buildings that stand between the funfair and the park. There is a little courtyard on the roof, and this Spider-Bot is crawling around in it.

2. Peni Parker Spider-Bot

Location: Skyscraper in the northeast corner of Downtown Brooklyn

This little Spider-Bot is crawling up and down the skyscraper in the northeastern corner of the Downtown Brooklyn map.

3. Sensational Spider-Man Spider-Bot

Location: Parking lot under the highway in the west of Downtown Brooklyn

In the west of Downtown Brooklyn, right by the water, is a torn-up building left over from Sandman’s devastation. Nearby, under the highway, is a parking lot with this Spider-Bot.

4. Superior Spider-Bot

Location: Under the train tracks north of the Coney Island funfair

This Spider-Bot is just under the train tracks north of the funfair at Coney Island.

Downtown Brooklyn Marko’s Memory

No One Believes Me Marko’s Memory

Location: Center of Downtown Brooklyn

There is only 1 Marko’s Memory in Downtown Brooklyn. In the center of the district, a group of thugs is trying to take the orange crystal. As soon as you get close, the Sandmen join the fight. Defeat them all, then interact with the crystal to get the memory No One Believes Me.

All 3 Downtown Brooklyn Photo Ops

There are 3 Photo Ops in Downtown Brooklyn. Swipe up on your controller to open photo mode and move the camera until “Subject in Focus” appears, then take the picture. If a Photo Op does not count, keep adjusting the camera until that notification shows up.

Champion of Champions Photo Op

Location: Coney Island at the southern tip of Downtown Brooklyn

At the southern tip of Downtown Brooklyn is Coney Island. The hot dog eating champion is there promoting his abilities. Take his picture.

Beach Party Photo Op

Location: Southwest of Downtown Brooklyn

In the southwest of Downtown Brooklyn, some people are having a great time with Sandman’s hand. Capture the party.

Now That’s a Bridge Photo Op

Location: Manhattan Bridge in the northwest of Downtown Brooklyn

In the northwest of Downtown Brooklyn, you can take a picture of the iconic Manhattan Bridge.

Find Grandpa FNSM Request Walkthrough

There is only 1 FNSM Request in Downtown Brooklyn: Find Grandpa. Tasha needs your help to find her Grandpa Earl, and you follow a photo, a note and an inhaler until you track him down.

Talk to Tasha

Location: Center of Downtown Brooklyn

Tasha in the center of Downtown Brooklyn has reached out to Spider-Man to find her Grandpa. Speak to her when you arrive.

Find the Photo Location and the Note

Tasha gives you a photo of the place where she thinks her Grandpa is. The location is just south of where you met her. Use your scanner with L2 to search for clues and read the note on top of the raised plant bed, next to the yellow roses.

Find the Inhaler at the Botanical Garden

The note sends you to the Botanical Garden, and this time you get a mission marker. When you reach it, scan the surroundings to find a yellow inhaler.

Solve the Atom Puzzle

To track Grandpa Earl, you have to analyze the inhaler and eliminate the corrupted atoms. In the screenshot below, every atom you need to eliminate is marked with an “X”. Remove all of them to finish the analysis.

Follow the Trail to Grandpa Earl

Once the analysis is done, a trail appears. Follow it to the lake in the park and give Grandpa Earl his inhaler to complete the FNSM Request.

Downtown Brooklyn Prowler Stash

Location: Top of a building with a big antenna in the north of Downtown Brooklyn

Downtown Brooklyn has only one Prowler Stash. It is on top of a building with a big antenna in the north of the district.

Stabilize the First Code

Scan the area with R3 to find the Stash, then hold L2 to reveal the first code. It is one level below the antenna, on a big pole on the side of a structure. Move both controller sticks into the highlighted area and hold them there until the code stabilizes.

Yank the Pole Into Position

The code reveals that the big pole has to point up. Swing to the top corner of the building and yank the pole into position with L1 + R1.

Stabilize the Second Code

This opens the metal wall on the other side of the pole. Go there and scan again for unstable code. It is at the metal door behind the opened wall. Stabilize it with the same mini-game.

Yank the Second Door Upwards

The second metal door has to be yanked upwards. Get on top of the nearby billboard and do it from there.

Collect the Prowler Stash

This reveals the Prowler Stash safe. Interact with it to loot the stash.

Downtown Brooklyn EMF Experiments

There are 2 EMF Experiments in Downtown Brooklyn: Brooklyn Heights: Energy and Prospect Park: Bee Drones. The Prospect Park experiment is the final Bee Drones experiment and only becomes available after you finish the Bee Drones experiments in Central Park and Little Odessa.

Brooklyn Heights: Energy EMF Experiment

Location: North of Downtown Brooklyn with a view of the bridges

This EMF Experiment is in the north of Downtown Brooklyn with a nice view of the bridges. Interact with the console to talk to Dr. Nguyen.

Deploy the turbines: Climb a high building and glide with the Web Wings (Triangle). A bar on the left of the screen shows how much higher you need to get. Scan the area for the 3 vertical booster vents to gain height, and deploy each turbine with Square once you are high enough.

Fix the broken turbine: After all 5 turbines are deployed, one of them has an issue and you get a location marker. Head there and fight the metal birds causing the trouble, then yank the turbine back into position to finish the experiment.

Prospect Park: Bee Drones EMF Experiment

Location: Northern end of the park in Downtown Brooklyn

This EMF Experiment starts at the northern end of the park. Activate the experiment station and talk to Doctor Young to begin.

Destroy the targets: Like in the other Bee Drones experiments, destroy the purple-highlighted predators. You need 10, and there are exactly 10 in the area. The battery drains, so be quick.

Guide the bees to better nest spots: The bees need 5 new nest spots, marked with a yellow holographic bee symbol. Fly through each one. The minimap highlights the area where they are. Once you have done that, criminals steal the Bee Drone and you are back to playing Spider-Man.

Get the Bee Drone back: Check the last known location of the drone in the park. You then get a few mission markers on the map to look for the garage. These are scan areas where Spider-Man tries to reconnect with the drone. As soon as you find a good spot, you are flying the drone again inside the criminals’ garage.

Inside the garage, switch to Sonic Mode with Triangle and free the highlighted bees trapped in boxes. Soon the criminals open the garage door, and as Spider-Man you can defeat them to finish the experiment.

Downtown Brooklyn Hunter Blinds and Hunter Base

The map below shows the 2 Hunter Blinds and the Hunter Base in Downtown Brooklyn. The Hunter Base is in the north of the district and it is quite large. The Communications Console is on the ground floor behind a closed door. Pull the door open with R1 + L1.

Tip: Check the district counter on the map after each Hunter Blind to make sure it counted towards your 100% completion.

Downtown Brooklyn Mysteriums

There are 2 Mysteriums in Downtown Brooklyn: Fear of Heights and the Grand Finale, the last of all Mysteriums.

Fear of Heights Mysterium

Location: Northwest corner of Downtown Brooklyn

In this challenge, you have to throw 15 enemies into the void. Use the Directional Yank left and right and the Web Throw. You can look them up in your Moves List.

Silver: < 2:15
Bronze: > 2:15

Grand Finale Mysterium

Location: Mysterium building at the Coney Island funfair

The Grand Finale is the last Mysterium and only appears once you have completed all other Mysteriums. Follow the marker into the Mysterium building at the funfair and stay on the path. This time, Beck plays Mysterio.

Part 1: Defeat the enemies.
Part 2: Chase Beck through the snow globe setting.
Part 3: Fight Mysterio until the end of the Mysterium.

When you are released into the Mysterium building, the exit can be hard to find. Look back and you will see a staircase leading down. Go down for another boss fight against multiple Mysterios. Keep going until only one Mysterio is left. He tries to escape on the Ferris Wheel, so give chase and beat him to finish the Grand Finale.
