Spider-Man 2 Financial District Spider-Bots and 100% Completion Guide

Financial District Activities Map

The in-game map with all 16 Financial District activities marked. The Financial District sits at the southern tip of Manhattan, bordering Greenwich and Chinatown. Click the map to open it in full size.

All Financial District activities are introduced during the main story. Some of them can be started from the FNSM App – The Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man App (swipe on your controller or open it from the in-game menu). They reward you with Tech Parts, Rare Tech Parts and City Tokens, and a full district completion adds extra Hero Tokens. Finishing every activity across New York unlocks new suits.

Both Financial District Spider-Bot Locations

There are 2 Spider-Bots in the Financial District, numbered as on the map below: Classic Mysterio high in the air above the district and Spider-Ham on a building wall in the east. They never show on the big map, but send out a pulse and sound cue when you get close.

1. Classic Mysterio Spider-Bot

Location: High in the air above the Financial District

The Classic Mysterio Spider-Bot floats high above the Financial District. Climb the highest building nearby, then open your wingsuit and glide to the Spider-Bot.

2. Spider-Ham Spider-Bot

Location: Building wall in the east, near the two bridges

This little piggy Spider-Bot is in the east of the Financial District, near the two bridges. It crawls up and down a building wall, with a row of school buses parked below.

Financial District Marko’s Memories

There are 4 Marko’s Memories in the Financial District. Each one is a memory crystal you interact with to unlock a short memory. The memory names follow the order you collect the crystals, so yours may show different names. Only She’s Gone is always the same.

A Trap – Marko’s Memory

Location: Round fountain at the southern tip of the Financial District

In the southern tip of the Financial District, where you can look out to Lady Liberty, the orange crystal sits near a round fountain. Defeat the Sandmen, then interact with the crystal.

Face to Face – Marko’s Memory

Location: Alley in the center north, at the Greenwich border

Swing to the center north of the Financial District. This crystal is on the ground floor in an alley, right at the border to Greenwich.

Looking for Answers – Marko’s Memory

Location: Sand-covered skyscraper roof in the southeast

In the southeast of the Financial District, climb to the top of the skyscraper covered in sand. Fight the Sandmen and interact with the orange crystal.

She’s Gone – Marko’s Memory

Location: Destroyed building, found during the main story

She’s Gone is the first memory crystal and you can’t miss it. Miles finds it while saving civilians in a destroyed building after the Sandman fight at the start of the game, as part of a cinematic section. Here is the location anyway.

Financial District Photo Op

There is only 1 Photo Op in the Financial District. Swipe up on your controller to open photo mode and move the camera until “Subject in Focus” appears, then take the picture.

It Was an Accident Photo Op

Location: Southern tip of the Financial District

In the southern tip of the Financial District, a taxi driver is arguing with a pedestrian. Take a picture of the two.

FNSM Request – Howard

Location: Waterfront in the southwest of the Financial District

Howard is the only FNSM Request in the Financial District. He waits in the southwest of the district, near the water. Join him to watch the ferry arrive. Then look at the yellow boat at the dock, the three chimneys in the distance and finally Lady Liberty on the left.

Fly With Howard’s Pigeons

Now Howard asks Spider-Man for help: take care of his pigeons and take them on a journey. Whistle to make the pigeons follow you, go to the mission marker and follow the waterfront. Then swing to the Brooklyn Bridge. It gets tricky near the bridge, so use the wings and roll as instructed.

At the next marker, head north between Little Odessa and Downtown Queens. Whichever way you take, the marker soon changes to the final destination in east Astoria.

What Happens to Howard

After the flight, you automatically return to Howard. There is only an ambulance at his place: Howard has passed away.

The Flame – Where Have You Been?

Location: Hospital in the Financial District

Where Have You Been? is the first of four missions in The Flame side story. You can spot it on the world map by the red Flame symbol. It starts at the hospital in the Financial District, and the story continues with Everything Burns in Chinatown.

Rescue the First Survivor

After the Sandman incident at the start of the game, people are still trapped in the hospital. Spider-Man sends in his Spider-Bot to find them. Follow the ventilation shaft and open it with R1 + L1. Drop into the room and interact with the survivor to mark them for the firefighters. Then crawl through the opening on the ground floor.

Use the Pulse Blast

In the next room you learn the pulse blast (R1), which breaks crumbly walls. Use it whenever something blocks your way. Destroy the fallen wall on your right to reach the next survivor, who is trapped under a bookshelf. Pull it away with R1 + L1, mark the survivor and crawl under the nearby wheelchair.

Use the Jumpjets

In the next room, use the pulse blast to reach the next level, where you find another survivor behind a door you can pry open. Next you learn the Jumpjets (R2) to reach higher ground and get past obstacles. At the top of the climb, blast an opening in the ceiling to go further up.

Save the Man From the Sand

Here a man is about to be buried in sand. Quickly close the opening the sand pours through, then pull him out of the sand.

Scan and Fight the Cultists

Stay on the path and keep breaking walls and jumping higher. Scan to find enemies, shown with red outlines. Climb through a vent to the other end and fight the people you run into.

At the end, an unexpected ally steps in: Wraith, an old friend of Spider-Man who has been hunting this cult for a long time.

EMF Experiment – Two Bridges: Plant Science

Location: Rooftop in the center east of the Financial District

Two Bridges: Plant Science is the Financial District EMF Experiment. It is on a rooftop in the center east of the district. Interact with the experiment station to start it and get the briefing from Dr. Foster.

Collect the Specimen

Peter first has to collect a specimen from the ESU greenhouse, marked on the world map and in the HUD. Someone has wrecked the greenhouse and stolen the specimen, so Peter has to investigate.

Follow the Pollen Trail

Follow the bright yellow pollen trail high up in the air. At the last one, you find the culprits: criminals. Defeat all of them, pick up the plant and bring it back to the experiment.

Gene Splicer Solution

The Gene Splicer works a bit like Catan. Each card you place in the four open slots has lines on its sides, from one to four. The lines of neighboring cards need to match up. Below the “Plant Attributes” title, the puzzle asks for at least three plant cards, one Sun card and one water card. The H card is already set. Thugs attack while you work on it, but you can finish the puzzle between fights. Place the cards like this:

Financial District Hunter Blinds and Hunter Base

The map below shows all 3 Hunter Blinds and the Hunter Base in the Financial District.

How to Enter the Hunter Base

The Financial District Hunter Base is different from the others: there is no building, and its shield is on the ground floor. Once you reach the ground, interact with the manhole to enter an underground base. Use the R3 scanner often, as it shows a blue mission marker that points you the right way.

Inside, interact with the Communications Console. There are also two toxic plants to destroy as sub-objectives.

Financial District Unidentified Target

Location: Tall building in the center south of the Financial District

Look for three metal birds circling a tall building in the center south of the Financial District. Get to the roof and interact with the transmitter. Then follow the bird through the wind canal before it escapes. In the slipstream, you only need to steer left and right to stay behind it.

Financial District Symbiote Nest

Location: North of the Financial District, close to The Flame start

The Financial District Symbiote Nest is in the north of the district, close to the start of The Flame. Place the sonic bomb on two nests and defend each one until the timer runs out.
