After meeting Father Antonios, locate the secret entrance to the Apostolic Library’s underground. Inside, you’ll discover a hidden ‘Laboratory,’ where an ancient relic awaits on the table. This relic, part of the Riddles of the Ancients quest, holds the key to unlocking further discoveries.

Ancient Relic 1 – Warrior Giant’s Tomb

Descend into the Vatican Underground through the Excavation Site at the Apostolic Palace. Near the Tomb of the Warrior Giant, beside the excavator, you’ll find a hidden passage – the same one where Indiana Jones got trapped during the ‘Stolen Cat Mummy’ adventure.

Follow this passage until Indiana can use his whip to drop down into the water below. Before jumping into the water, swing onto a small ledge one level down, where you’ll discover the Ancient Relic. This relic, part of the Riddles of the Ancients quest, is a crucial find in your journey.

Ancient Relic 2 – Necropolis: Behind the Metal Gate

After dropping into the water from the previous Ancient Relic, swim east across the Necropolis. Here, you’ll find a bucket with torches at the location shown below. In this area, a relic is locked behind a metal gate. Take a torch from the bucket and light it using one of the nearby oil burners. Turning away from the bucket, you’ll notice a blue glowing hole in the wall—throw the burning torch through this hole.

Next, squeeze through the gap in the wall where water flows down the middle. The torch would have gone out, which is why you need to throw it through the hole in the wall. Once inside the next room, pick up the torch and light the wall on the other side to set it on fire.

The heat will open the way to the Ancient Relic waiting to be claimed. If you already own the lighter, which can be purchased in Gizeh, this step becomes much easier. Simply use the lighter to ignite the wooden wall and access the Ancient Relic directly.

Ancient Relic 3 – Lower Necropolis: Pedestal Puzzle

This Ancient Relic can be found in the lower Necropolis, which Indiana Jones will pass through after discovering the Warrior Giant’s Tomb. In this area, you’ll find two Antique Busts on the floor alongside two pedestals. Place each bust onto the corresponding pedestal to activate a mechanism that will open two passages. One of these passages will lead you directly to the Ancient Relic.

Ancient Relic 4 – Nike Statue

From the previous Ancient Relic, proceed through the other passage that opened with the bust mechanism. At the end of this dead-end corridor, use Indiana’s whip to climb to the top and enter a large room. In this room, you’ll find the Nike Statue, which you’ll need to photograph for the Field Notes. You can find more details about the Nike Statue here. Once you’ve taken the picture, look for a smaller room within the larger one, where the Ancient Relic is located. After claiming the relic, the game will notify you that you’ve discovered a ‘Secret.

Ancient Relic 5 – Necropolis Bust Puzzle

From the previous Ancient Relic, head down the stairs and pull the chain next to the metal gate to open it. In the corridor ahead, you’ll find an empty pedestal that requires an Antique Bust to open a passage to the left. Continue along the corridor and enter the next room on your left.

Here, you’ll find a pedestal with a bust on it, as well as another Antique Bust on the floor. Take the second bust and place it on the empty pedestal to unlock the next area. In this new room, look for a tall metal candle holder. Use it to smash through the wall, revealing another room where you’ll find a third bust. Take this bust and place it on the pedestal in the room to open yet another passage. This will lead you to the Ancient Relic.

Ancient Relics – Fountain of Confession Underground

The Fountain of Confession Underground holds three Ancient Relics. Follow this guide to locate each relic and navigate through the area.

Ancient Relic 1 – Saw Blades Trap

The first Ancient Relic can be found in the underground area of the Fountain of Confession. Make your way to the Saw Blades Trap, and from there, simply jump into the pit below to discover the relic.

Ancient Relic 2 – Bust Puzzle

In the Fountain of Confession Underground, you’ll come across a locked gate with an Ancient Relic behind it. To reach it, find a crawlspace that leads into a small room. Inside, you’ll discover a bust and an empty pedestal. Place the bust onto the pedestal to unlock the gate and claim the Ancient Relic.

Ancient Relic 3 – Vatican Treasure Chamber

The third Ancient Relic is located in the backroom of the Treasure Chamber, which you’ll access at the end of the Vatican ‘The Stolen Cat Mummy‘ story chapter. Once inside, explore the room to find the relic and complete this part of the quest.

Ancient Relic 1 – Nazi Compound Safe (North of Gizeh)

At the main Nazi Compound to the north of the Gizeh map, enter the largest building. Inside, locate the safe on the ground floor. Above the safe, in the room with a large Gizeh model in the center, you’ll find the ‘Code Note’ Field Note. This note contains the code 40926, which will open the safe to reveal the Ancient Relic.

Ancient Relic 2 – Top Floor of the Nazi Compound

In the same building as the first Ancient Relic, but on the top floor, you can reach it by using the outside stairs. This is the room where Indiana Jones and Gina climb down into Voss’ office during the main story. Look inside the box in the corner of the room to find the Ancient Relic.

Ancient Relic 3 – ‘Seat of Eternity’ Mystery

Ancient Relic 4 – Behind the Sphinx

This Ancient Relic is located at the back of the Sphinx. Enter the room where you’ll find a Medicine Bottle for the ‘A Remedy for All’ Quest. In this room, there is also a crawlspace that leads to a separate room with a dead Nazi. At the end of the corridor in this room, you’ll find the Ancient Relic.

Ancient Relic 5 – North of the Khentkawes Dig Site

North of the Khentkawes Dig Site, there is a camp with a locked room in the main building. You can access this room through the open window at the back. Inside, you’ll find a lockbox and two mystery notes. One of them is the ‘Numeral Basics’ Field Note, with its translation located nearby. The code for the lockbox is 3262, and inside, you’ll find the Ancient Relic.

Ancient Relic 6 – “The Haunting” Mystery Quest

Follow the ‘The Haunting’ Mystery Quest to discover an Ancient Relic hidden within the Haunted Tomb.

Ancient Relic 7 – Khentkawes Dig Site

At Khentkawes Dig Site in the southwest of the Gizeh map, complete the “Secret of the Queen Mother” Fieldwork quest. Enter the tomb and make your way to the flooded chamber. Swing across to the other side, where you’ll spot the Ancient Artifact lying on the floor below.

Ancient Relic 8 – Belongs in a Museum Reward

Complete the ‘Belongs in a Museum’ Discoveries Quest by returning all the Stelae to Nawal’s Delivery Boy. In exchange, he will reward Indiana Jones with an Ancient Relic.

All Ancient Relics in the Ancient Caves of Gizeh

The Ancient Relics in the Ancient Caves can be accessed by heading to the Chamber of Resonance in the western part of the Gizeh map of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. From here, you can explore the caves and uncover four Ancient Relics hidden within.

Ancient Relic 1 – Eternal Rest Mural

In the Ancient Caves, near the Eternal Rest Mural, cross over to a small cave located in the opposite direction of your original path. Inside this cave, you will find the Ancient Relic.

Ancient Relic 2 – Tree-Eyed Gate

This Ancient Relic can be found in the first Temple room after solving the “Tree-Eyed Gate” riddle, where you must align three mirrors. Look for the already open room, where the Ancient Relic is waiting.

Ancient Relic 3 – Ancient Abyss (Bridge Cavern)

There is the fourth Relic, further along at the Ancient Abyss (also known as the Bridge Cavern).

Ancient Relic 4 – Ancient Abyss (Bridge Cavern) Puzzle

At the center of the Ancient Abyss (Bridge Cavern), you’ll find a locked chamber on the lower level. To open the door, Indiana Jones must use Ancient Relics. Insert the Relics into one of the holes, and then turn them either right or left. Each puzzle hole must be filled with either an Ancient Relic or the sticks that appear when the Relics are turned. While there are many possible combinations, at least four Ancient Relics must be used to complete the puzzle.

The Sanctuary below the Sphinx is home to three Ancient Relics. During the Fieldwork quest ‘Sanctuary of the Guardians,’ Indiana Jones and Gina enter the tomb beneath the Sphinx, gaining access to the Sanctuary. Within this area, you’ll find an Ancient Relic that is part of the ‘Ancient Relics and Collectibles in Gizeh’ discoveries. This Ancient Relic is a key part of your exploration in the Gizeh map.

Ancient Relic 2 – After the Mirror Puzzle

Towards the end of the “Sanctuary of the Guardians” Fieldwork quest, after solving the Mirror Statue and Mirror Puzzle, take the path to the right instead of heading toward the exit. At the far end of this passage, you’ll find another Ancient Relic

Ancient Relic 3 – Near the Exit

After Indiana Jones retrieves the Stele for the “Belongs in a Museum” Quest, head towards the staircase with a small scorpion pit. Climb the stairs, but instead of taking the exit, jump onto the small ledge to the left. From there, you can reach a passage that leads across the corridor, bypassing the scorpion pit, and find the Ancient Relic.

Ancient Relic 1 – Hidden Pyramid Entrance

The first Ancient Relic in the Hidden Pyramid is located at the starting point of Indiana Jones’ journey in the Riddles of the Ancient Quest for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. After evading the snake while diving in front of the pyramid to find the entrance, get out of the water. Before leaving, look around the immediate area to spot this Ancient Relic.

Ancient Relic 2 – Stone Library

In the Hidden Pyramid, after Indiana Jones enters the Stone Library with the water, where the snake quickly reappears and Indiana gasps, look to the right. An Ancient Relic can be found on top of one of the stones.

Ancient Relic 3 – Hidden Pyramid Tower

After the Stone Library, where Indiana Jones fights a snake in the Hidden Pyramid in Sukhothai, look for vines that you can climb to reach this Ancient Relic. If you spot the grey snakeskin on the ground, you’re close!

Ancient Relic 4 – Top of Water Tower

Outside of the Hidden Pyramid, look for an Ancient Relic at the top of one of the two towers in front of the pyramid, situated in the water.

Ancient Relic 5 – Waterfall Puzzle Door

Leave the Hidden Pyramid and head north to a river dead end. Take a picture of the waterfall, then swim toward it. Squeeze through a gap to reach a puzzle door, similar to the one in Gizeh. Use as many Ancient Relics as you like to raise the sticks inside the puzzle to open the door and access the Ancient Relic.

Ancient Relic 6 – Ruins with the Missing Bridge

At the center north of Sukhothai, you’ll find some ruins with a missing bridge. Swing over to enter the ruins and collect the Ancient Relic inside.

In the “A Study of Fear” Fieldwork Quest, Indiana Jones will explore a Khmer Vault located in the southwest corner of the Sukhothai map, near the Explosion Site. Inside the first cogwheel room, on the second floor, you can find an Ancient Relic. Be sure to explore this area carefully to collect it.

Ancient Relic 2 – Cavern After Water Trap

After navigating the tomb with the water trap, both Indiana Jones and Annika are swept away into the next cavern. Here, Annika will point out a door overhead. Head to the back of the cavern, where you can climb up to find an Ancient Relic for the Riddles of the Ancients Discoveries Quest.

Ancient Relic 3 – Real Demon’s Tomb

Finally, Indiana Jones will reach the Demon’s Tomb in the Khmer Vault. Inside the tomb, climb the wall to the left of the Demon’s Head. Swing across to the opposite wall to find the Ancient Relic.

During the “The Kid Who Vanished” Fieldwork Quest, Indiana Jones will reach the westernmost part of the Warrior Temple. Here, you will encounter a door that requires two people to open. Near this door, you will find an Ancient Relic waiting for you.

Ancient Relic 2 – Shiva Pipe Puzzle Room

In the final pipe puzzle room of the “The Kid Who Vanished” Fieldwork Quest, where you solve the Shiva puzzle, you’ll find a staircase leading down to a lower room. This is where Indiana Jones previously found one of the pipe segments for the puzzle. At the top of the stairs, you’ll see a bucket with torches and a metal pole. Grab the pole, head downstairs, and use it to smash the wall and uncover the Ancient Relic hidden inside.

Ancient Relic 1 – After the Game Room

At Wat Mahathat in Sukhothai, deep inside the Hidden Temple, Indiana Jones can find an Ancient Relic in the first water-filled chamber just beyond the Great Piece Placement Room. We will soon have them all for the Riddles of the Ancients Discoveries Quest.

Ancient Relic 2 – Beyond the Messenger Statue

At Wat Mahathat in Sukhothai, deep inside the Hidden Temple, Indiana Jones can find another Ancient Relic just beyond the Messenger Statue. After passing the statue, swing to the right to reach this collectible, part of the Riddles of the Ancients Discoveries Quest.

Ancient Relic 3 – Largest Hidden Temple Chamber

In the largest chamber of the Hidden Temple at Wat Mahathat in Sukhothai, Indiana Jones can find another Ancient Relic on the eastern side of the room. Be cautious of the eels as you navigate this area to secure the collectible.

The One and Only Ancient Relic in Iraq

Return to the tent inside the Ziggurat where the cutscene with Voss occurred at the end of the ‘Atonements’ Adventure Quest. On the table inside the tent, you’ll find the Ancient Relic waiting for you.

Return All Ancient Relics to the Ziggurat for the Final Riddles

If you haven’t already, take the 50 Ancient Relics from Indiana Jones’ inventory to the Ziggurat in Iraq. Inside, at the bottom, you’ll find a Secret Vault with four riddles etched into the back walls. Use all the Ancient Relics to solve the riddles. Once placed, turn them left or right as needed.
