Seat of Eternity Mystery Walkthrough – Indiana Jones

The “Seat of Eternity” Mystery in Gizeh is one of six Mysteries featured in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. As part of the “Riddles of the Ancients” Discoveries Quest, players can find two notes and one Ancient Relic. Completing this Mystery rewards 225 Adventure Points.

Mystery Quest Description
“There’s a sarcophagus in the ruins just west of the village. Would be a miracle if it hasn’t been plundered.”

To start the Seat of Eternity Mystery, you can either get a hint from one of Nawal’s spies at the entrance to Gizeh Village or go directly to its location. Look for an abandoned camp surrounded by dogs, just southwest of the main Nazi Compound restricted area.

The book “Journal 2 – Gizeh Relics” is also available in the camp.

There’s a square pit in the ground nearby. Jump down, and you’ll find yourself in a corridor with a pit on the left and a closed gate straight ahead.

Jackal Canopic Jar

The first of four Jars for this Mystery is located behind the closed gate. Use your whip to open the gate, then pick up the Jar from the floor. Take it to the edge of the corridor pit and toss it across to the other side.

Human Canopic Jar

The Human Canopic Jar is located at the bottom of the corridor pit. Jump down to grab it. Once you have it, throw it across the pit so it lands near the Jackal Canopic Jar. To climb out, face the whip point above you and jump. Timing is key—if you get it right, you can attach the whip and climb out.

Falcon Canopic Jar

Swing across the pit to reach the other side, where the other two jars are located. You’ll find a sarcophagus room with four pedestals. The third Canopic Jar you need is on the floor in this room.

Note 1 – Tomb Journal

The Tomb Journal note can be found beside a skeleton in the sarcophagus room.

Description
“Diary entry from a nineteenth-century archaeologist.”

Baboon Canopic Jar

The Baboon Canopic Jar, the final jar needed to open the Sarcophagus, is hidden behind a wall at the end of the corridor with the pit you swung across. You’ll need a shovel from the abandoned camp to uncover it. Since you can’t swing across while carrying items, look for an entrance above the corridor pit.

If you can’t break the wooden planks blocking the hole, try jumping down from the upper wall.

From there, drop down to the end of the pit in the corridor and hit the wall. You’ll find the Baboon Canopic Jar at the end of the corridor.

Note 2 – Canopic Jar

You’ll get this entry after collecting the final Canopic Jar.

Description
“Ritual Vessel storing the body organs of the mummified deceased.”

To open the Sarcophagus, place the Canopic Jars on the matching pedestals. There are four pedestals: Jackal, Human, Falcon, and Baboon. The murals for the Falcon and Baboon pedestals are slightly damaged, so if the Sarcophagus doesn’t open, try swapping those two. Inside, you’ll find an Ancient Relic required for the “Riddles of the Ancients” Discoveries Quest.
