Khmer Cogwheel Puzzles Discoveries Quest Indiana Jones

The “Khmer Cogwheel Puzzles” Discoveries Quest in Sukhothai requires finding ten ancient Khmer wooden cogwheels. There are six locations with puzzles and cogwheels to collect. At each location, you’ll find a Cogwheel Pillar that needs to be photographed to gather Field Notes for the Quest. These pillars also provide clues about how many cogwheels are required to solve the puzzle at that location. In this guide, I’ll show you where to find the cogwheels and how to solve each puzzle. Solving the puzzles unlocks gates within the puzzle rooms, revealing Ancient Relics for the “Riddles of the Ancients” Discoveries Quest.

Hidden Pyramid Entrance Gate Puzzle

Return to the Gear Puzzle at the entrance to the Hidden Pyramid. Remove the three cogs from the Left Gear Train.

Waterfall Ruins – Cogs and Puzzle Solution

This pillar is located near the waterfall ruins, where Indiana Jones ends up at the conclusion of “The Blessed Pearl” Adventure to rescue Gina from Voss. You’ll find the Cogwheel Pillar at the same level where Indiana was hanging near the waterfall. This is also where the puzzle is located. Simply climb down the pit next to the pillar to reach the puzzle room. You’ll find two cogs needed for the Khmer Cogwheel Puzzle Quest—one on the floor and another on the puzzle wall.

Waterfall Ruins Cogwheel Puzzle Solution

Wat Mahathat – Cogs and Puzzle Solution

Take a picture of the second Cogwheel Pillar at Wat Mahathat. Behind it, you’ll find another hole in the ground. Drop down to collect two cogwheels. You’ll see one large cogwheel and two small ones.

River Bank – Cogs and Puzzle Solution

West of Voss’ Camp, you’ll find a landmass with another Cogwheel Pillar and a Cogwheel puzzle. The access point is on the western side of this area.

Riverbank Cogwheel Puzzle Solution

Hidden Platform – Cogs and Puzzle Solution

East of the Wat Chana Songkhram Dock, you’ll find a yellow-painted wall by the river. At the water level, there’s a beam blocking the passage. Remove the beam and dive through it to reach the Hidden Platform Cogwheel Pillar. Once there, take a picture and head down into the puzzle room.

Hidden Platform Cogwheel Puzzle Solution

Village – Cogs and Puzzle Solution

South of the Village, you’ll find a yellow wall by the river. Dive down to the wall, remove a beam, and swim through to the other side. Take a photo of the Village Cogwheel Pillar before heading down to the puzzle below.

Village Cogwheel Puzzle Solution

Wat Si Sawai Cogs and Puzzle Solution

In the southwest part of the map, west of the Fascist Armory at Wat Si Sawai, you’ll find a dock. From there, you can access the Wat Si Sawai Cogwheel Pillar and puzzle. Drop into the room with the puzzle, where you’ll see two large cogs and one small cog on the puzzle wall. Take the small cog with you.
