Like Father, Like Son is a short quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker, but it is the one that hands you your first Epic Character Development Manual. Pieter, Coen’s father, suddenly wants to practise sword fighting after years of not bothering, which tells you something is wrong. Follow him to the clearing, beat him in the duel, and you walk away with the Charge Manual when the family heads to mass in the Sacred Covenant Quest. Mission Text:
“My father insists we practise sword fighting. We haven’t done that in ages. Something is up.”
Pieter, Coen’s father, wants to train at the clearing. Follow him there and beat him in the duel. When the conversation afterwards ends, you can choose to explore the village before mass, or wait with your family instead.
Reward: Charge Manual
This is a short quest that ends with Coen and his parents heading to mass. Along the way you receive the Charge Manual, the first Epic Character Development Manual in the game. Read it in your inventory to learn the ability.
