Disturbed Quest Walkthrough and Choices – Blood of Dawnwalker

Disturbed is an optional side quest in the Prologue of The Blood of Dawnwalker. Crina’s grandson Kvet has been dug out of his grave, and the little silver crucifix she buried with him is gone. You follow the robber’s trail through the village, find out why he did it, and then decide how much of the truth Crina gets to hear. The quest costs one time block, or two if you agree to rebury the body, and every ending pays the same 250 XP and 25 Denarius. You can finish it before Withering Away, or after Like Father, Like Son by not waiting with father.

Crina is crying at an open grave in the cemetery in the northeast of the village. Talk to her to start the quest. She will tell you that her grandson Kvet was dug up in the night and that the crucifix she left on his body is missing. Agree to look into it and Disturbed begins.

Mission Text:
“Someone dug up the grave of Kvet, Crina’s grandson – and stole the little crucifix she placed by the boy’s body. I promised her I’d try to find the grave robber and retrieve the missing gift. – I need to inspect the disturbed grave. Perhaps the robbers left some clues.”

Use Focus Mode to see and inspect the boards next to the open grave. Inspection also works without Focus Mode if you already know where to look. This starts the investigation minigame. There are four investigation points:
-> The boards to the left
-> The skeleton
-> The torch to the left
-> The footprints in the bottom left corner

Findings from the investigation:
Boards: Red soil
Skeleton: Poor boy
Torch: A burned-out torch
Footprints: Bigger than Crina’s

Mission Text:
“The grave robber left a track of reddish soil. I’ve got to follow it if I want to find him.”

This part consumes one time block. Use Focus Mode to follow the tracks next to the grave. They lead to a wall smeared with red mud and then down the road. At the crossroads, investigate the broken cross.

The tracks continue straight ahead down the hill, and at the start of the village you can investigate them again.

The tracks run past the group of soldiers near the cages and head towards the fruit and veg shop.

Pass the shops and the tracks continue between the houses. Investigate them here.

Go through the two houses to the yard between them. There is a broken shovel in an open shed to investigate.

There is one investigation point at the front of the shovel and one at the back. Rotate it to reach the second one. The back of the blade is caked in the same red dirt you found at the grave, which confirms this is the tool that dug Kvet out.

Enter Kostel’s shed using Focus Mode and open the hatch in the floor. This consumes the time block and moves the quest forward. Kostel attacks, and Vladimir walks in and breaks up the fight. In the conversation Vladimir shows Coen the silver stash under the floor, and you can either press him to hand the crucifix back or agree to keep his secret.

Why Did Vladimir Rob the Grave?

Vladimir was not after money. He needed silver, and Kvet was buried with a silver crucifix. Silver is what works against the Vrakhir, so he dug up a child’s grave to arm himself for that fight. That is the real weight behind the choice you are about to make. Crina wants to know who desecrated her grandson’s grave, and the answer is a man preparing to face the thing the village is most afraid of. For more on why silver matters so much in this world, see the Bad Blood guide.

Mission Text:
“I need to return to Crina. I could tell her what I learned… But should I?”

Return to Crina at the cemetery and report back. If you took Kvet’s pendant back from Vladimir, you can hand it over. Then choose how much of the truth to give her. She will also ask whether Coen will rebury Kvet, which costs a second time block if you agree. Telling Crina that it was Vladimir has no consequences in the follow-up Sacred Covenant quest.

Your Choices

1 – Give her the pendant, tell her it was Vladimir, then say nothing further
2 – Give her the pendant, tell her it was Vladimir, then ask her not to tell anyone
3 – Give her the pendant and tell her you simply found it
4 – Do not give her the pendant

On top of any of those, you can agree to rebury Kvet or leave him as he is. Reburying him consumes another time block, so factor that in if you are short on time.

Rewards

250 XP and 25 Denarius.

Does Your Choice in Disturbed Matter?

No. Every combination above pays exactly the same 250 XP and 25 Denarius. It makes no difference whether you return the pendant or keep it, whether you name Vladimir, ask Crina to stay quiet, or claim you found the crucifix yourself, and reburying the body changes nothing except costing you a second time block. The choice is pure roleplay, and nothing carries over into Sacred Covenant.
