Star Wars Outlaws Slicing Kit – The Slicer Quest Walkthrough

The advanced Slicing Kit in Star Wars Outlaws comes from The Slicer, one of the two Expert quests Danka hands you after the New Tricks main quest. Finish it and Aila Bren joins your Experts in the Abilities menu. Each step below includes a stealth route, so poor standing with Crimson Dawn won’t hold you back.

Intel: Expert Intel: The Slicer – Underworld Rumors
Location: Bar counter, Makal’s Gambling Parlor – Mirogana City, Toshara

“Someone on Toshara can help Kay get her hands on an advanced slicing kit.”

The Slicer starts at Makal’s Gambling Parlor in Mirogana City. Take a seat at the bar counter and listen in on a Pyke and a Crimson Dawn enforcer talking about a new slicing expert in town. This unlocks the next intel, Aila’s Contact.

Intel: Expert Intel: The Slicer – Aila’s Contact
Location: Landing pad near Jodara’s Stash – Crimson Dawn district, Mirogana City

Aila’s underworld contact waits on the landing pad in the Crimson Dawn district. With good Crimson Dawn standing you can walk straight in. With poor standing, use this stealth route.

There are two vent entry points into the Crimson Dawn district, both close to the round restaurant on the district border. Take the one shown below: it brings you in from above, with a clear view of every guard.

Crawl through the vent and climb the wall on your right to a high balcony. From here you can see the whole area:
– An alley with stationed guards
– A bridge with one guard above it
– Three guards on the left side of the landing pad
– One guard patrolling around the pad

Use the balcony’s grapple point to drop into the alley and take out the guards one by one. Then climb the crates on the left to reach the bridge and take out the guard up there.

Head back down to the alley and use the boxes as cover on the way to the landing pad. Tail the patrolling guard on the right side and keep right until you reach the back, where you can climb up onto the pad.

Talk to the man on the landing pad near the Jodara’s Stash landmark. He puts Kay in touch with the slicer Aila Bren, who wants a code sequencer from the Southern Falls before she will help.

Location: Imperial Outpost 31, restricted Imperial zone – Southern Falls, Toshara

Leave the way you came, but watch out: the patrolling guard is now heading your way. Hide in the mist along his route, let him pass, then slip out through the vent and make your way to the Mirogana Landing Pad.

Ride your speeder and follow the quest marker to Imperial Outpost 31 in the restricted Imperial zone.

Use the tall grass around the outpost to sneak in close. The technician stands in the back area. Send Nix to steal the code sequencer from him without being spotted.

Quest: The Slicer
Location: Garage – Imperial Forward Base, Southern Falls – Toshara

Aila waits in the garage of the Imperial Forward Base, the same base you visit in the Impressing Gorak and Imperial Forward Base intel quests. Sneak in through the cave and the vent below the base walls. The base also holds 3 of the 10 Southern Falls treasures.

There are two ways into the garage unseen:
– Go up the staircase on the right and cross the bridge to the right.
– Use the hatch hidden behind the yellow grid climbing wall next to the right staircase. The vent inside leads straight into the garage.

Quest: The Slicer
Location: Roof above the garage – Imperial Forward Base

Leave the garage backroom through the door or the vent. Sneak around the outside of the building and climb the ladder to the first level. Coming in from outside, rather than through the garage door, makes it easier to take out the two Imperials waiting on the first floor.

Climb the next ladder to the roof and go to the highlighted antenna in one of the corners. Interact with it to attach the device.

Quest: The Slicer
Location: Command center, first floor of the main building – Imperial Forward Base

The computer that shuts down the anti-air defenses is in the command center on the first floor of the main building. The only way up is the turbo-lift at the top left of the overview map.

Take the route along the buildings with the turrets. Aila has turned them against the Imperial troops, so they leave Kay alone. In the command center, the computer is in the top right corner. Slice it to disable the anti-air defenses.

Quest: The Slicer
Location: Vent entrance below the base walls – Imperial Forward Base

Aila escapes in a stolen Imperial shuttle, so now it’s your turn to get out. Take the turbo-lift down, leave through the main entrance and head straight for the vent you came in through. There is no need to fight: the hacked turrets keep the Imperial troops busy.

Once you are a safe distance from the base, Aila contacts Kay. Zenth at Makal’s Gambling Parlor has the Advanced Slicing Kit waiting for her.

Quest: The Slicer
Location: Backroom of Makal’s Gambling Parlor – Mirogana City, Toshara

The whole moon is on high alert, and the Imperials have set up barriers to keep Kay from reaching Mirogana City. Once you are inside the city, you still have to sneak past the Imperial checkpoint near the Mirogana Landing Pad.

On the ground floor of the landing pad area, just below the checkpoint, there is a room with a grid wall and a grapple point leading up. Use it to get past the checkpoint unseen.

Zenth is in the backroom of Makal’s Gambling Parlor, to the left of the turbo-lift. Talk to him to get the Advanced Slicing Kit. This completes The Slicer, and Aila Bren is now available as an Expert in the Abilities menu.

What to do next with the new Slicing Kit:
– The Advanced Slicing Practice intel sends you to the treasure chest in Kerro’s Speakeasy, just south of Makal’s.
– Meeting Aila also gives you the Key Part Intel: Code Breaker Chip.
