1 – How to Get Inside the Shipjacker Workshop

You receive the Key Part Intel: Code Breaker Chip automatically after you finish Expert Intel: The Slicer with Aila Bren. Bring her the chip and she can give your slicing kit the Advanced Slicing upgrade.

Shipjacker Workshop Location

The Shipjacker Workshop is at the eastern end of the Lost Steppe, near the border with Southern Falls. There is a main entrance, but the back entrance is much quieter. Approach the workshop from the western side of the mountain.

Back Entrance to the Shipjacker Workshop

Right by the road, climb a couple of ledges to reach an overhead grappling point.

From the grappling point, climb the shallower ledges to the top and squeeze through the gap in the mountain to get inside. The grey lamp poles usually show you the way.

Inside, a large elevated round building with roof access stands in the center. One room high up is sealed by a red energy barrier, and behind the round building you’ll find a recreational area.

2 – Code Breaker Chip Location and All 4 Treasures

Location: Storage room in the recreational area at the back of the Shipjacker Workshop

The Code Breaker Chip is in a storage room in the recreational area at the back of the workshop, behind an energy barrier you lower by slicing the panel next to it.

How you deal with the Shipjackers is up to you. Clearing out the hostiles first makes looting the whole workshop much easier. While you are here, grab all 4 treasure chests.

Treasure 1: Top Floor Energy Barrier

Climb the ladder to the roof of the large round building and use Nix to scan the area. Follow the power cable to a switch on the roof. Activate it and a cargo box moves from the energy barrier room over to you. The cargo box has yellow edges that Kay can hold onto. Tell Nix to hit the same switch again, then jump onto the box to ride it over to the energy barrier.

Next to the energy barrier is a closed shutter with the power core inside. Tell Nix to hold the shutter open, then shoot the power core to bring the barrier down. Inside the room you’ll find this treasure chest and Zafi’s Vault Keycard, one of the keycards for the Crimson Dawn Vault in Mirogana City.

Treasure 2: Recreational Area

Head to the recreational area on the top floor. You can reach it by the ramp on the round building’s roof or by climbing a ladder. Open the door and you’ll see this treasure right away.

Treasure 3: Code Breaker Chip

The recreational area also has an energy barrier protecting a storage room. Slice the panel next to the barrier to lower it. The Code Breaker Chip is in the chest inside.

There is still one more treasure chest in the Shipjacker Workshop. For the last chest you need the Bolt upgrade on your blaster, which you get in the Gunsmith quest after The Safecracker. If you don’t have it yet, come back later.

Treasure 4: Destructible Wall

Leave the recreational area and look for a destructible wall on the same level. Shoot it with Bolt to open the passage. The last Shipjacker Workshop treasure is in the hidden room behind it.
