Impressing Gorak is a Toshara Intel quest in Star Wars Outlaws that starts with Officer Covell at the Mirogana City Market. This guide shows you where to find him, the cave vent into the Imperial Forward Base and the exact Covell’s Secrets datapad location. You then choose whether the Pykes or Crimson Dawn get it.

1 – Talk to Officer Covell at the Mirogana Market
Intel: Impressing Gorak
Location: Mirogana City Market – Toshara
Intel Text: “Officer Covell’s datapad contains detailed information about Crimson Dawn operations.”
Hint: The datapad is probably locked away inside a vault.
Officer Covell is an Imperial officer leaning against a pillar in the Mirogana City Market. Talk to him to start Impressing Gorak. He tells Kay that a Crimson Dawn datapad is kept back at his compound, the Imperial Forward Base.
After the talk, Covell’s Secrets is added to the Impressing Gorak entry in the Intel section of your Journal. Track it there to get the marker for the base.
2 – Sneak Into the Imperial Forward Base Through the Cave
Intel: Impressing Gorak
Location: Imperial Forward Base, Southern Falls – Toshara
The Imperial Forward Base is the large Imperial compound in the north of the Southern Falls, south of Mirogana City. It is a heavily guarded restricted area, so stay out of sight as much as you can.
Before you go in, use Nix as much as you can. Nix can sabotage alarms, distract guards and set off explosives, which makes this base a lot easier.
The best way in without being spotted is the cave below the base walls, shown in the screenshots below. It is the same entry point you use in Expert Intel: The Slicer.
Follow the cave to the end and open the vent panel. Climb the ladder inside to come back up inside the base. When you leave the vent, the game prompts you to “Look” and highlights the main building and its upper floor.
3 – Find Covell’s Secrets in the Command Center
Intel: Impressing Gorak
Location: Command center, first floor of the main building – Imperial Forward Base
Stealth Tips for the Imperial Forward Base
The main building has more than one entrance. Before you head in, keep these tips in mind:
– Have Nix sabotage the alarms, so getting spotted is less of a problem.
– Use the steam floors as cover. The steam hides Kay from the guards.
– Cameras can be switched off at their switch. The turrets can’t be destroyed, but you can disable them at the command center computer.
– The base has three treasure chests, and Chest 1 is right on your route.
Treasure Chest 1 – Under the Platform
Near the vent exit is a staircase with a yellow grid wall. The chest is right behind that wall, next to the stairs and under the first-floor platform.
Chest contents: Scout Trooper Helmet, Speeder Trophy
Chests 2 and 3 are on the roof and inside the vault. Both are covered in the Intel: Imperial Forward Base guide, and all three are part of All Treasures in the Southern Falls.
Covell’s Secrets Datapad Location
You can enter the two-story main building from two sides. One door is directly across from the vent you came out of, and the other is on the side of the building (see the overview map above).
Inside is a long hall lined with speeders, with guards near the turbo-lift. A force field blocks the lift, and you lower it by slicing the computer next to it.
Once the force field is down, take the turbo-lift up to the first floor. Deal with the Imperials there first, then slice the computer in the command center. Use all three options: Disable Turrets, Deactivate Cameras and Transfer Data. The first two make the rest of the base much easier.
Transfer Data gives you the Vault Code and Confidential Data intel, which starts the Intel: Imperial Forward Base quest.
Now for what you came for. The Covell’s Secrets datapad lies on the round control table in the middle of the room, under the holographic Imperial emblem.
4 – Give the Datapad to the Pykes or Crimson Dawn
Intel: Impressing Gorak
Location: Delivery marker of the syndicate you choose
With the datapad in hand, you choose who gets it: the Pykes or Crimson Dawn. Your choice raises your reputation with that syndicate. The mission marker then updates to the drop-off point, and delivering the datapad completes Impressing Gorak.
You face a similar choice between the two syndicates in the main quest Underworld and in the Eavesdropping intel.
While you are still at the base, carry on with Intel: Imperial Forward Base. Its vault holds Treasure Chest 3 and the Eleera Soi ISB Report.
