All collectibles show up on your map once you reach Area Bond Level 3 in Bashamichi. You raise the Area Bond by restoring Public Order, raising Veiled Edge Banners and finding collectibles. Nothing in Bashamichi is missable, so you can also come back after the story. Reaching 100% unlocks Egg Deliveries to your Longhouse.

Veiled Edge Banners are save and fast travel points. As soon as you restore a Public Order, the banners are revealed on the map.

1. Sakura Inn Veiled Edge Banner

Location: Sakura Inn, the Anti-Shogunate Base

Follow the main mission Follow Your Blade Twin to meet Kogoro Katsura at the Sakura Inn. The banner unlocks as soon as you get close enough.

Public Order events are areas occupied by enemies. Defeat all of them to restore order, raise your Area Bond and reveal the Veiled Edge Banners on the map.

Location: Shukan-Benten Shrine in the northwest of Bashamichi

Bashamichi has only one Unruly Area. Bandits occupy the Shukan-Benten Shrine Landmark, so defeat them all to restore Public Order. This also lets you loot the Foreign Book chest inside the shrine.

Fugitives are bounty targets you have to find and defeat. You need 50 of the 91 Fugitives in the game for the Keeper of the Peace trophy.

Location: Center of Bashamichi, south of the Dojo

Sneak-Attack Nezuyoshi is south of the Dojo in the center of the district. He is not alone, his friends are with him, so be ready to fight the whole group.

Landmarks are important places you only have to visit. Bashamichi has two of them.

1. Shukan-Benten Shrine

Location: Northwest of Bashamichi, in the middle of the Public Order area

The Shukan-Benten Shrine sits at the center of the Public Order area. Clear the bandits, then walk up to the shrine to collect it. Both Bashamichi cats are close by.

2. Sakura Inn – Anti-Shogunate Base

Location: Sakura Inn, next to the Sakura Inn Veiled Edge Banner

Enter the Sakura Inn to receive the Landmark collectible.

Sakura Inn Landmark Not Unlocking?

The Sakura Inn only opens during the main mission Follow Your Blade Twin, so the Landmark does not pop before that. If it still does not register afterwards, climb onto the roof of the inn and move around up there until the game counts it.

Cats are real cats you need to pet, not statues. Listen for meowing, which means one is close. Calico cats run off if you are noisy, so sneak up on them. You need all 100 cats in the game for the Cats Over All trophy, and you can trade them for rewards at the cat vendor in Yokohama.

Both Bashamichi cats are around the Shukan-Benten Shrine in the northwest of the district.

1. Shukan-Benten Shrine Chest – Foreign Book

Location: Inside the Shukan-Benten Shrine

The chest is inside the Shukan-Benten Shrine. Defeat all the bandits and restore Public Order first, then open it to get a Foreign Book.

It all began in the ’80s when I was just 7 years old. Starting with basic arcade games, I soon delved into titles like Loom and Monkey Island by Lucasarts. Throughout the years, as I indulged in more and more games, I consistently sought clear guides to swiftly navigate my gameplay. Now, it’s my turn to contribute back to the community.
