Rise of the Ronin Ishikawa Map
The in-game map with all 13 Ishikawa collectibles marked. Click the map to open it in full size.
All collectibles show up on your map once you reach Area Bond Level 3 in Ishikawa. You raise the Area Bond by restoring Public Order, raising Veiled Edge Banners and finding collectibles. Nothing in Ishikawa is missable, so you can also come back after the story.
Ishikawa Cat Locations
Cats are real cats you need to pet, not statues. Listen for meowing, which means one is close. Ishikawa has two of them, and one is a Calico cat that runs off if you are noisy.
1. Sleeping Calico Cat at the Western Banner Tower
Location: At the tower with the Western Road Veiled Edge Banner
A Calico cat sleeps right at the tower of the western Veiled Edge Banner. Crouch and sneak up to it slowly, then pet it. If it wakes up and runs away, leave and come back later to try again.
2. Black Cat Inside the Northwestern House
Location: Inside the house at the northwestern tip of Ishikawa
There is a house at the northwestern tip of the region. Go inside to find a black cat and pet it.
Ishikawa Treasure Chests and the Storehouse Key
Treasure Chests are big chests you open for gear. Two of the three Ishikawa chests are part of the main story, and one of them holds your Glider.
1. Cave Chest in the Southwest
Location: Cave in the southwest, during the main quest The Bridge to Yokohama
During the main quest The Bridge to Yokohama you meet an eccentric ronin inside a cave. Do not follow him too quickly, or you miss the chest inside the cave.
2. Where Is the Storehouse Key? Storehouse Chest With the Glider
Location: The locked storehouse marked on the map below
Keep following the same quest line and take the eccentric ronin to the bandit camp in the main mission Curtain Falls, Curtain Rises. At the end you get the checkpoint permits and the Storehouse Key. The game does not show you where the storehouse is, so use the map above.
Unlock the store room with the key and open the chest inside to get the Glider. You need it to reach a lot of collectibles in the next regions, so grab it right away.
3. Daigoro the Highwayman Chest
Location: Inside the open building in the southeastern corner of Ishikawa
The Fugitive Daigoro the Highwayman guards this chest in the southeastern corner of the map. Defeat him to loot it.
Ishikawa Fugitives – Yosuke and Daigoro
Fugitives are bounty targets you have to find and defeat. Both Ishikawa Fugitives show up at night. If one is not there, follow the main story until you get your Longhouse in Yokohama, rest there until nighttime and come back.
1. Temple-Crasher Yosuke
Location: Closed house at a small estate in the southwest corner of Ishikawa
Yosuke hides at a small estate with three buildings: a white building with an open entrance and a ladder, a closed house and a tower. He is inside the closed house.
Climb the ladder in the white building to the top floor. Step outside, grapple over to the tower, then jump to the closed house and get in through the open window.
2. Daigoro the Highwayman
Location: Open building in the southeastern corner of Ishikawa
Daigoro waits inside an open building in the southeastern corner of the map. He guards the third Ishikawa Treasure Chest, so open it once he is down.
Ishikawa Veiled Edge Banners
Veiled Edge Banners are save and fast travel points. As soon as you restore the Public Order, the banners are revealed on the map.
1. Main Village Veiled Edge Banner
Location: Center of the main village
Restore the Public Order in the main village first. Once the village is free, raise the banner in its center.
2. Western Road Tower Veiled Edge Banner
Location: Tower at the western road
Climb the tower at the western road to raise this banner. The sleeping Calico cat is right at this tower, so sneak up to it while you are here.
3. Third Veiled Edge Banner
Ishikawa has a third Veiled Edge Banner. Its location is marked on the Ishikawa overview map at the top of this guide.
Ishikawa Public Order
Location: The main village, the only village in Ishikawa
Public Order events are areas occupied by enemies. Ishikawa only has one, in its main village. Defeat every enemy there to restore order, raise your Area Bond and unlock the Main Village Veiled Edge Banner.
