The Southern Falls is an expansive region on Toshara. It spreads from the east of Toshara all the way down to the south. It holds a massive Imperial Base in the north and lush green areas in the south. Discover 10 Treasures at Southern Falls and collect them. Here’s my guide on how to do it.
For “Smuggler Caches,” it’s best to use a holotracker to find them. Follow the questline “Jet Kordo’s Legacy,” which you can begin on the first planet after Toshara.
For certain treasures, you’ll need the “Bolt” upgrade for the blaster. Make sure to follow the main quest until you obtain it before starting the treasure hunt in “The Lost Steppe.”

1. Imperial Outpost 31
The Imperial Outpost is located in the northern part of the Southern Falls, right at a river fork. It features a single-tower building guarded by Imperials. The treasure at the Imperial Outpost 31 is found on top of this tower.

2. Smuggler Cache 71
Along the road, west of the Imperial Forward Base, is a ramp at the end of the road. Use it with your speeder to reach the other side. Behind a crashed Tie Fighter is Smuggler Cache 71.

3. Imperial Forward Base
The Imperial Forward Base is a large compound located in the northern area of Southern Falls controlled by the Empire. Kay will sneak into it for the following quests: Expert Intel: The Slicer, Intel: Impressing Gorak, and Intel: Imperial Forward Base. The Intel Guides for Impressing Gorak and the Imperial Forward Base provide detailed instructions on how to collect these three treasures within the base.
Here’s a simplified map of the Imperial Forward Base, highlighting the three treasures marked 1, 2, and 3.
3.1 Underneath the Staircase
In the vicinity of the heavy transporters’ parking area and the main entrance to the turbo-lift, a small room beneath the staircase houses the treasure.

3.2 On the Roof
The second Treasure Chest is on the roof, where most of the Stormtroopers patrol.

3.3 In the Vault
The third Treasure Chest is inside the vault. Solve the Intel: Imperial Forward Base to get inside.

4. Kashuda Pit
The Kashuda Pit is a hole located at the river fork just south of the Imperial-occupied area. Inside the pit, you’ll find the Kashuda Pit Treasure deep within. Look for the large log that serves as a grapple point leading down. At the bottom of the pit, you’ll discover an unlocked chest waiting for you.
Note that this is also the location of the Intel: Crashed Speeder.

5. Tree Nest – Nix Treasure
At the river fork south of the Imperial-occupied area near Southern Falls, you’ll find the Tree Nest, another Nix Treasure. When the three roads meet on the map, Nix will become anxious, signaling the start of this Treasure Hunt.
Climb up the mountain to follow Nix. At the top, turn right and use the grapple point overhead to swing across. Continue following Nix as you go uphill and downhill on the other side of the mountain. When you reach the next chasm, climb across using the bars on the rocky walls. Then, do another long wall climb to a viewpoint. Walk around the mountain and make one final climb to the top. Follow Nix to find the treasure near the tree.

6. Smuggler Cache 86
To find the Smuggler Cache 86, follow the upper river from the fork south of the Imperial-occupied area at Southern Falls until you reach the end of the world. This is also the spot where you can complete the Intel: Stolen Imperial Goods mission, which you can purchase from the Crimson Dawn Smuggler, Lalini Ledeno, in Mirogana City.

7. Traveller’s Crossing
Head to the south of Southern Falls and find a bright red stone formation that leads into an alley. Continue deeper to discover a calm pond with a small island. The treasure is located on that island.

8. Gota Cave
The Gota Cave is located in the southern part of the Southern Falls region, near the edge of the world map cliff. To explore it, enter the cave and drop into the water pit. Look for a gap in the rocky wall to access the next room. In this room, you can climb a high wall to find the Treasure Chest.
