Mission type: Faction mission, the eighth in the UC Vanguard questline
Quest giver: Hadrian, at the Red Devils HQ on Mars
Locations: Red Devils HQ on Mars, Forward Base 441 and the city of Londinion on Toliman II
Objectives: Collect three Aceles gene samples, get a Terrormorph tissue sample, restore power to the spaceport access hatch and take the final sample from the boss Terrormorph
Prerequisites: Complete War Relics
Quest chain: Follows War Relics and unlocks A Legacy Forged

Hostile Intelligence is combat heavy. Stock up on ammo and Medpacks before you head out, and use the armory at Forward Base 441 before you leave for Londinion.

Hostile Intelligence starts right after War Relics, once you are back on Mars with Kaiser. Hadrian has a plan for dealing with the Terrormorphs and asks you to follow her.

Mission Text:
“Hadrian says she has a plan for dealing with the Terrormorphs. I should follow her to find out more.”

Aceles or Microbe – Hadrian’s Plan

Hadrian explains the two ways to remove the Terrormorphs from human worlds: bring back their natural predator, the Aceles, or release a microbe that kills them. You do not have to choose yet. The decision comes in the final UC Vanguard mission, A Legacy Forged. Either way, you need samples from Londinion first.

Mission Text:
“The plan is to remove the Terrormorphs from human worlds – by either bringing back their natural predator or releasing a microbe to deal with them. But first, we’ll need some raw materials. And the only place to collect those? Londinion. I’m to speak to Commander Hatoum on the only base on the planet.”

Before you leave the Red Devils HQ, you can visit the only shop there. Talk to Lt. Azevedo on the ground floor to trade.

Then travel to Toliman II and land at Forward Base 441.

3 – Proceed to the Command Post

A grumpy guard greets you at the gates. Enter the camp and find the Command Post behind the yellow Terrabrew door. Commander Hatoum is waiting inside. Talk to her to go over the plan.

Mission Text:
“Briefings complete. I can either head to the armory to collect my gear or speak to Hadrian about moving out.”

Head over to the armory first and stock up on ammo and Medpacks. When you are ready, speak to Hadrian. Kaiser unlocks the airlock, and you can then interact with it to open it.

Mission Text:
“Percival’s found us our first materials in a nearby shipping yard. We’re heading there now.”

Follow the blue mission marker to a processing plant. There is a room full of ammo on the ground floor, so grab it before heading to the Aceles gene samples.

You need to search three storage containers. Each has a door on one side and holds one gene sample. Terrormorphs attack while you search.

How to Reach the Hanging Container

One container hangs in the air. Move as close to its door as possible to open it, then jump inside to grab the sample.

Mission Text:
“All samples collected! Now I just need to hand them off to Kaiser.”

Mission Text:
“I’ve handed over the Aceles samples to Kaiser. Now we just need to figure out where we’re heading next.”

Head back up into the processing plant. An orange door leads to the steam tunnels.

The Heatleech That Turns Into a Terrormorph

The tunnels protect you from the harsh weather, but they are infested with Heatleeches. Cross the tunnel to the other side. In the control room, you watch a Heatleech turn into a Terrormorph.

Mission Text:
“We need to track and kill the Terrormorph… or Heatleech… and kill it and figure out if this might have something to do with the attacks!”

Leave the control room and chase the Terrormorph outside in Londinion. Kill it and collect a tissue sample, then give it to Kaiser. After discussing the findings with the team, follow Kaiser to an access door.

Mission Text:
“The door out to the spaceport – and the final sample – has lost power. There should be a power control board in the Security Office upstairs.”

The Inaccessible Orange Door

The orange door upstairs was inaccessible earlier. Kaiser has powered it up now, so you can go through to the Security Office.

Power Switch and Contraband Locker Key

The power switch is in the Security Office. Pick up the Contraband Locker Key in the same room. After you power up the system, hit the big red button on the wall.

Mission Text:
“The recording we just heard… it sounded a lot like Vae Victis knew about the Lazarus Plant. I should grab the transcription and speak to Hadrian about what we learned.”

Interact with the Emergency Recorder next to the red button to collect the recording. Then speak to Hadrian nearby. After the conversation, return to Kaiser at the spaceport gate.

Mission Text:
“Vae Victis knew about the Lazarus Plant and likely blew the spaceport to pieces trying to cover it up. But we’ve got work still to do. Time to collect that final sample and get out of here.”

Kaiser opens the gate, and you can enter the Londinion spaceport. Head to the strange hill at the back of the spaceport to start the boss fight.

Power the Spaceport Radar Dishes

During the fight, you can power up the spaceport radar dishes to help against the hostiles. Follow the blue mission markers and interact with the switches. Once the boss Terrormorph is down, grab the final sample from it and give it to Kaiser.

Mission Text:
“Sample secure. Time to blow this icicle stand and debrief with Percival back at the base.”

Fast travel back to Forward Base 441. Go to the top of the base and debrief with Percival Walker. This completes Hostile Intelligence, and the final UC Vanguard mission, A Legacy Forged, starts.
