Star Wars Outlaws Smoke Bomb Compressor – Fallen Mound Walkthrough

1 – Smoke Bomb Compressor Requirements

Quest: Key Part Intel: Smoke Bomb Compressor
Location: Selo’s Shop, northeast of Jaunta’s Hope – Toshara

You get the Key Part Intel: Smoke Bomb Compressor automatically when you finish The Mechanic for Selo Rovak. The intel points to a smugglers’ drop-off in the Boulder Forest, and that drop-off is the Fallen Mound.

Before you head there, make sure you have both of these:
– The Speed Boost from Selo, which you get at the end of The Mechanic. It is the only way through the wind tunnel into the Fallen Mound.
– The Ion Blaster from the main quest New Tricks. You need it for the power cores inside.

2 – How to Get Into the Fallen Mound

Location: Fallen Mound, Boulder Forest – Toshara

Head to the Fallen Mound in the northwest of the Boulder Forest, just south of the Imperial Comm Station. The entrance is a wind tunnel at the spot marked on the map below. The wind is too strong for Kay on foot, so drive your speeder in and boost through.

At the end of the tunnel, use the overhead grapple point to climb up into the Fallen Mound. Take the path on the left, grapple across the chasm and keep following the path to the first wind section. Time your moves between the gusts and use the central pillar for cover as you head to the rippled wall you can climb. At the top is a second wind section. Wait for the wind to settle, cross, and swing over with the overhead grapple.

At the end of the swing, use a log grapple point to drop down, then follow the winding path to the third wind section, where the wind never stops. Look for the open door the wind blows from and a power cable leading to a power core. Switch your blaster to Ion and shoot the core to close the door, then run to the rock in the middle for cover. Shoot the core again and run for the gap in the wall next to the door.

You now reach a command center with several power cables on the floor. Scan the area and the cables light up, leading to a control panel on the other side of the room. The treasure room is near the entrance you came from, behind a half-open door, but the gap is too small for Kay to fit through.

3 – Fallen Mound Lever Puzzle and First Chest

Location: Command Center, Fallen Mound – Toshara

Look around the room for another power core in the direction of the wind. Shoot it with the Ion Blaster, then go to the control panel with the two levers.

One lever is for Kay and the other is for Nix. Time Nix’s command so that you both hold the levers at the same time. Nix only holds his lever briefly, so this can take a few attempts. Once it works, the door to the treasure room opens. Shoot the power core again to get back to the other side, then enter the open room and loot the first chest.

4 – Smoke Bomb Compressor Location

Location: Top of the turbo-lift, Fallen Mound – Toshara

Leave the room with the first chest through the other door, which leads to a corridor with a turbo-lift. Ride it up, and the second treasure chest with the Smoke Bomb Compressor is waiting at the top.

Picking up the compressor gives you the Key Part Intel: Ion Capacitor Charge, which is located north of the Fallen Mound. Leave the room and your speeder will be waiting for you.

5 – How to Unlock the Smoke Bomb Ability

Location: Selo’s Shop, northeast of Jaunta’s Hope – Toshara

Bring the Smoke Bomb Compressor to Selo Rovak and unlock Smoke Bomb in her abilities. It creates a dense cloud of smoke that blocks enemy vision, which helps you break line of sight or slip away during stealth sections.

Smoke Bomb can later be upgraded to Concussive Smoke and to Ion Smoke Bomb from The Scavenger, which needs the Flux Compressor. The Ion Capacitor Charge intel you just received leads to a key part for the Concussive Smoke upgrade.

Selo has one more key part upgrade: the Scoundrel’s Pouch needs the Durafiber Fabric.
