The Great Basin is the big lake on the west side of Akiva, and its 13 treasures at 10 locations are all marked on the numbered map below. Three of them hold key parts: the Trans-Accelerator at The Bolthead, the NL-02 Charge Emitter at Excavation Site 12 and the Flux Compressor in Rover’s Lair. To cross the water, you need the speeder upgrade from Temmin Wexley, which unlocks with The Scavenger questline.

Overview Map
The numbers on the map match the numbers in this guide. Jump straight to a treasure:
1. The Bolthead, 2. Smuggler Cache 38, 3. Excavation Site 12, 4. Kinro’s Blessing, 5. Smuggler Cache 70, 6. Entangled Island, 7. Xola’s Stash, 8. IG-24’s Stash, 9. Unnamed Cave, 10. Rover’s Lair
1. The Bolthead – Trans-Accelerator
The Bolthead hideout is in the southwest of the Great Basin, just past Excavation Site 12. This is where you find the Trans-Accelerator, the Blaster key part for the final Maximum Charge upgrade of the Bolt mode. Head to the beach with the ancient pillars, where a parked speeder sits and droids attack you. Start your climb on the opposite side of the beach, where a grapple point takes you higher.
At the top, cut through the bars with the Fusion Cutter from Gedeek. If you don’t have it yet, continue the main story first. Behind the bars is a large swinging mechanism. Use the two overhead grapple points to swing across to the area above the beach with the droids.
On the other side, look toward the entrance of The Bolthead. To your right are handlebars and rippled walls that lead up to the cave door with three red lamps above it. Each lamp stands for one power core you need to activate. The first core is hidden behind a rock above the door. Shoot the rock with the Bolt mode to reveal the core, then shoot the core. You may need to try a few angles.
For the second core, follow the cable to the right down to a ledge. You can shoot it from the spot shown in the screenshot below.
Go back to the door for the third core. Its cable runs left, and when you scan the ledge you see it continue to the right. Use the overhead grapple swing point and steer your swing toward the cable. On the other side, scan for the power core and shoot it.
Swing back and open the treasure.
Treasure Contains:
Trans-Accelerator – Blaster Key Part
2. Smuggler Cache 38
South of Excavation Site 12 is a small island with ancient ruins. Leave your speeder and climb to the top. The access point is on the west side. When you reach the thorns, look up for a grapple point. Climb up, go around the ruins and use the next grapple point to climb higher. The last stretch up to the campsite is normal climbing.
At the top, break the wall with the Bolt mode. Behind it, a grapple point takes you down to Smuggler Cache 38.
Treasure Contains:
Valuables & Materials
3. Excavation Site 12 – NL-02 Charge Emitter
The large Imperial-occupied island in the south of the Great Basin is Excavation Site 12. It holds four treasure chests. One of them contains the NL-02 Charge Emitter, the key part for Temmin Wexley’s Electro-Shock Prod, which takes down elite enemies.
Since you’re here: the Sliro Ruback ISB Report lies on one of the black and grey boxes in the storage area between the tents and the landing pad. It counts toward the ISB Report collectibles.
3.1 Imperial Terminal Tent – Blaster Recirculator
The first chest is in the northernmost tent, which holds the Imperial Terminal. This tent also has a computer terminal that switches off the cameras and the alarm.
Treasure Contains:
Blaster Recirculator – Blaster Material
Since you’re here: an Imperial officer patrolling this tent carries the Cave Entrance Keycard.
3.2 Center Tent – NL-02 Charge Emitter
The second chest is in the smaller tent in the center of the camp. It holds the NL-02 Charge Emitter, which you need to unlock the Electro-Shock Prod.
Treasure Contains:
NL-02 Charge Emitter – Key Part for The Scavenger
3.3 Cave – Turbo-lift Area
The cave is behind the red energy barrier at ground level. Either disable the data port next to it, or use the Cave Entrance Keycard from the officer near the Imperial Terminal tent.
Inside, call the turbo-lift and ride it down. On the bottom level is a central area with another energy barrier and platforms on the left and right. The chest is just to your right as you leave the turbo-lift.
Treasure Contains:
Materials
3.4 Cave – Behind the Energy Barrier
The energy barrier in the cave is heavily guarded. Scan the area first. You see a power cable running from the barrier to a generator. Shoot the power core to switch off the generator, then enter the room and open the last chest.
Treasure Contains:
Cyclone Relic – Major Charm
Since you’re here: the Imperial Bunker Keycard lies on one of the boxes in front of the energy barrier.
4. Kinro’s Blessing – Key Parts Trader
Kinro’s Blessing is just below The Cauldron on the west side of the Great Basin, and you need the water-capable speeder to get there. It has one treasure and a key parts trader. Slice the door next to the trader to reach the chest.
Treasure Contains:
Clear Detail Finish – Trailblazer Paint Job
Since you’re here: Trader Namda Eaakee sells items for materials, and two of them matter.
The AF-2 Cypher Key costs 6 Durasteel, 4 Polycarbonate and 2 Helicyclic Gears. It unlocks the Slice Kit upgrade in the The Veteran abilities menu.
The Actuating Diffuser Module, a Blaster key part, costs 1500 Credits and 10 Direct-Energy Circuits.
5. Smuggler Cache 70
Smuggler Cache 70 is at Witch’s Finger on the east coast of the Great Basin, near Kassina Outpost at Mount Selasa. Deal with the bandits camped at the base of Witch’s Finger first. Then follow the path up and use the overhead grapple point to swing west. Now stay on the western path and ignore the rippled climbing wall on your left. Walk until the path ends, then drop down to Smuggler Cache 70.
Treasure Contains:
Valuables & Materials
6. Entangled Island
Entangled Island is the largest island in the north of the Great Basin. A cave-like corridor runs through its center and is the main way in. Watch out for bandits. Inside the cave, look for an overhead log grapple point that pulls you up to the ledge with the chest.
Treasure Contains:
Violet Brezak Paint Job – Speeder Paint Job
10. Rover’s Lair – Flux Compressor
Rover’s Lair is a hidden hideout in the northeast of the Great Basin. It holds the Flux Compressor, the Expert key part you need for The Scavenger ability Ion Smoke Bomb. To get in, jump into Rover’s Lair with your speeder from the ramp at the shore.
Follow the path on the other side of the ramp to a rippled climbing wall blocked by rocks at the top. Break the rocks with the Bolt mode and climb up. Follow the path and use the overhead grapple to swing toward a destructible wall. Break that wall with the Bolt mode too. Follow the path behind it to another wall and climb all the way up to reach Rover’s Lair. The single door to the treasure needs four power sources.
First, shoot the rocks on the left and the wall on the right with the Bolt mode. This reveals all four power cores, and each one stays on for a different time. Counting from left to right, shoot the second core first, then the fourth, then the first, and the third, which is the weakest, last. The door opens to the treasure room.
Treasure Contains:
Flux Compressor – Expert Key Part
