Below you will find the overview map of the Kar-Lethel Swamp with all chests highlighted.

1 – Northeastern Cave

In the northeastern part of Kar-Lethel Swamp, you’ll find a narrow passage that leads to a cave. If you glance downward, you’ll spot a chest below. However, rather than jumping straight down, take the path to your left. This route will bring you to a spot directly above the chest, allowing you to simply drop down to access it.

2 – Northeastern Cave 2

Come back to this spot after defeating Vhoroo in the Story. There is a new tunnel next to the previous chest. Follow it until you can go up to the right and use a rope to climb further down. At the bottom, follow another tunnel down to a cave filled with Vexxers. Here you will find two chests.

3 – Vexers Village

To the east of the Kar-Lethel Swamp lies Vexers Village, where you’ll find this chest. Be sure to destroy all the huts to prevent the enemies from respawning.

4 – West of Vexers Village

West of Vexers Village, you’ll find the entrance to a cave with winding circular tunnels. Once inside, make your way northwest until you come across a climbable rock formation. Ascend the rocks to discover an ancient ladder, which will lead you directly to the chest.

5 – West of Forger’s Sanctum

West of the Forger’s Sanctum anvil is another chest. Use the energy from the center point to create a bridge to the west to find this chest.

6 – Spore Brutes Cave

Now use the energy at the Forgers’ Sanctum anvil to build a bridge to the east, since the southern bridge has a part missing. When you arrive, you will see a Vexer stealing the part and running away with it. Run after it until the summoned wall blocks your way. Then, run the other way. The Vexer will bump into this wall, drop the part, and fight you.

Take the section of the southern bridge and harness the energy from the eastern bridge to reconstruct it. Once completed, drop down at the far end. Here, the bird from the story will appear, guiding you to the left. Instead, head to the right and make your way uphill, where you’ll encounter Spore Brutes. Beyond them lies a cave containing the chest.

7 – Mysterious Granny

Head southeast through the Kar-Lethel Swamp toward the “Mysterious Granny” map marker and the Angel’s Cliff anvil. Along the way, you’ll notice a cave on the left side of the path. Continue forward and enter the cave to find the chest.

8 – North of Angel’s Cliff

North of the Angel’s Cliff anvil, enter and cross the cave with Sporebrutes. There is a Polearms Seneschal. Behind it, drop down to the ledge to reach this chest.

9 – West of Angel’s Cliff

Find a piece of the Forger’s Automatron’s heart at the Doyen Graves and use it on the Automatron up the hill, northwest from Glinda. At the very west of this new area is a chest guarded by a Spore Brute.

10 – Western Vexer Village

In the same area as the previous chest is also a large Vexer village. In it is this chest.

11 – Coastal Wall Staircase

Follow the story of the “Find the 3 Pieces of the Golem’s Heart” quest until you reach the top of the Coastal Wall, where one of the Thaumaturgists Abominations attack. Nearby, under the bridge, is this chest.

12 – Coastal Wall

One level below the previous chest is another one.

13 – Seaside Wall Chest

Repair the elevator for the “Find the 3 Pieces of the Golem’s Heart” Quest and take it down to the seaside. Then, follow the path north, where you can walk a narrow ledge to the other side. Go left there, where you can climb up a rope to a chest.

14 – Stinky Cave

From the previous chest, climb down the rope, head to the other side, and climb up another rope to reach the Aurora Seashore Anvil. From here, head into a Vexer village that is next to a stinky cave that offers two paths. The upper path leads to a chest.

15 – Vhoroo’s Cave

Find this chest in Vhoroo’s cave after defeating them in the Find the 3 Pieces of the Golem’s Heart quest.

16 – Eastern Vexer Village/Light Rune

To access the chest in the Eastern Vexxers Village within the Kar-Lethel Swamp, begin your journey at the Forger’s Sanctum Anvil. Ensure you have the Light Rune, which is obtained as part of the main storyline during the crossing of the Roggs Mountains in Tok’s Kingdom. From the Forger’s Sanctum Anvil, harness its energy to construct a bridge leading east. Once across, use the Light Rune to reach the Black Metal Towers’ Anvil. The path to the eastern region of the Kar-Lethel Swamp, where the chest awaits, is located right next to the Anvil.

17 – Western Light Rune

Begin your journey at the Forger’s Sanctum Anvil, ensuring you have the Light Rune in your possession. This key item is acquired during the main storyline as you traverse the Roggs Mountains in Tok’s Kingdom. From the Sanctum Anvil, construct a bridge heading west and activate the Light Rune at its designated location to unlock the gate ahead.

Beyond the gate, you’ll find two levers that must be used simultaneously to lower the water level. Team up with your companion, Adso, to operate them. Once the water has receded, descend into the exposed area and search for a circular tunnel. Inside, climb down to the bottom water level, where you’ll discover another lever. The final lever is located on the opposite side.

To reach the second lever, Aran must navigate through the water, but his air supply is limited, and staying submerged for too long could be fatal. Start by heading to the nearby pillar, where Aran can replenish his air by standing close to it. Once resupplied, dive into the water and make your way toward the second lever. Activating it will cause the water to recede, granting access to the chest. To exit, take the only available passage out.

18 – Western Elevator Troll Cave

In the west of Kar-Lethel Swamp, you can enter a structure with an elevator. Take the elevator down. Then you can drop down into a cave where a troll lives. He’s guarding a chest.

19 – Templar Platform

South of the Forger’s Sanctum Anvil and its surrounding structure, you’ll find a platform guarded by a Templar of the Sacred Steel. This area features a puzzle that requires waking a bird to proceed. However, crossing the platform isn’t straightforward – you’ll need energy to construct a bridge. The challenge lies in the fact that the required energy can’t be sourced from the Sanctum itself, as it’s located on the opposite side of the bridge.

As you progress through the story, your journey will eventually lead you to the quest for the third piece of the Golem’s Heart. To retrieve it, you’ll need to transport energy from the spawn point of the Thaumaturgist’s Abomination to the elevator at the bottom level.

This is the energy you have to transport to the bridge to cross over to the Templar of the Sacred Steel and to get to this chest. If you have already transported it to the elevator, you need to take it back to the Thaumaturgist’s Abomination spawn point to reset the timer. From there, go up to the top floor, where Adso can open a gate towards the Templar Bridge. If you run, you will make it.

Cross the bridge, and the chest is behind the Templar near the wall.

20 – Sentenza Cave

The first Templar you will see in the game is probably the one in the northwestern corner of the Kar-Lethel Swamp. Later in the game, at this location, you can enter a cave that is inhabited by Vexers and two level 3 Sentenzas. – That’s why this chest is listed at the end of the guide. You need to be skilled for this one. Defeat the Sentenzas and loot the nearby chest.
