Blades of Fire: All Chest Locations at the Crimson Fort

1 – Entrance Hall

Cross the wooden bridge near the Crimson Fort Overlook Anvil and step into the entrance hall of the Crimson Fort. Head upstairs, and you’ll discover a chest with a view overlooking the entrance hall below.

2 – Hooded Child Hideout

After looting the previous chest, make your way to the cellar’s storage area near the Cellar’s Anvil. While in the storage area, take a moment to destroy the surrounding objects. This will reveal a fragile wall located just beneath the ladder leading to the Cellar’s Anvil. Interact with the wall, and Aran will break it down, uncovering the path ahead.

Inside is the Hooded Child’s Hideout and this treasure chest.

3 – Cellar’s Roof

After obtaining the Key of the Lord from a Cavimo Rex beast near the end of your journey in the Crimson Fort, make your way back to the Cellar’s Rooftop Anvil. Head into the southern building and ignore the staircase on your left. Instead, proceed to the right, where you’ll find a path leading downward. Continue until you reach a storage room on the left side. Inside, you’ll discover one of the gates unlocked by the Key of the Lord, granting you access to a chest.

4 – Before Library Tower

Follow the story path upstairs and climb the tower using a rope. Just before reaching the Library Tower Anvil, you’ll find another chest.

5 – Library Tower

Follow the Hooded Child to the Library Tower. Ascend one level to progress the story and read the scroll. On this same level, you’ll find the chest.

There is another Chest at the ground level of the Library Tower.

7 – Great Tower – Roof

As you make your way from the Library Tower to the roof of the Great Tower to reach the Rooftop Anvil, be careful not to drop through the hole in the Anvil’s floor. The Great Tower roof features two openings—one leading to the Rooftop Anvil and the other to a hidden treasure chest. Choose your path wisely!

8 – Great Tower Rooftop Anvil

Beneath the Great Tower Rooftop Anvil lies a locked gate, accessible only with the Key of the Lord, which is dropped by a Cavimo Rex in the Crimson Fort. Unlock the gate to discover a chest waiting inside the room.

9 – Great Tower – Hooded Child

In the story, the Hooded Child is taken to the Great Tower. In the same room where Aran finds the child again is also a chest.

10 – Great Tower – Hooded Child 2

At the bottom level of the Great Tower, look for a gap in a rock wall. This gap will lead you to this chest. It is on the same level as the Hooded Child, when it gets kidnapped.

11 – Hollow Hall Garden

From the Great Tower, exit and make your way to the Hollow Hall Entrance Anvil. After defeating the Cavimo Rex and obtaining the “Key of the Lord,” which unlocks all metal gates, head left into the garden. Follow the path down to its base, where you’ll find a cave housing the chest.

12 – Eagles Bridge

Follow the path until you reach the Eagles Bridge Anvil. Nearby, you’ll find a tower you can break into. Make your way to the top of the tower, where you can climb onto the roof. From there, drop down into the interior to uncover the chest hidden within.

13 – Throne Room Roof

Cross the bridge and make your way to the southwestern building. Near a staircase, you’ll find a rope that allows you to climb up to the roof. Once there, you can access a chest located just above the Ancient Garden Balcony Anvil. This rooftop is also where you’ll find the entrance to the Throne Room Anvil.

14 – Eagles Bridge North

Head to the Eagles Bridge Anvil and proceed north until you reach a locked gate near the square feature marked on the map. Here, you can use Key of the Lord. Inside this room awaits the chest.

15 – Below Round Hall

Close to the previous chest, on the ground level of the round hall, you’ll find a crack in the floor tucked into one of the room’s corners. Drop through the opening to discover a circular room beneath the hall. There, you’ll find another chest.

16 – Ancient Garden Balcony – Cellar

In the building with the Ancient Garden Balcony Anvil, make your way down to the cellar, where you’ll encounter numerous Putrids and Marauders. Search for a room containing a climbing rope. Within that same room, you’ll notice a gap in the wall – follow it to discover the chest.

17 – Ancient Garden Balcony – Cellar 2

In the area, you’ll find a second cellar containing a chest. To locate it, head southeast of the throne room and the Ancient Garden Balcony. Look for an opening in the floor (first set of screenshots). Inside this cellar or cave-like area, you’ll discover the chest.

18 – Ancient Garden Southwest

This chest can be found in the Ancient Garden, located west of the Crimson Fort. To reach this area, begin at the Ancient Garden Balcony Anvil and make your way to the circular staircase on the opposite side. There, you’ll find a rope that allows you to climb onto the roof. Once on the roof, head towards the large Paladin head, where you’ll have the option to drop down to the Throne Room Anvil. From this point, you can exit the Crimson Fort and enter the Ancient Garden. The chest is in the southwest corner.

19 – Doyen Graves Vantage East

At the Doyen Graves Vantage Anvil, head east and follow the narrow path downward until you reach a ladder. Descend the ladder carefully. At the bottom, turn to the right and enter the cave, where you’ll find a climbable rope. Ascend the rope to the top. Once there, locate the weak wall, break through it, and you’ll uncover the chest.

From this point, you can unlock the gate, ascend the stairs, and make your way back to the Doyen Graves Vantage Anvil by breaking through a nearby door.

20 – Sapphire Butterfly

The Sapphire Butterfly isn’t a chest of gold, but it’s a treasure nonetheless. To obtain it, you’ll need to leave the Crimson Fort with the Hooded Child after defeating his father in the throne room. Once outside, the Hooded Child will transform into a swarm of butterflies. Follow them twice until you reach a collapsed cave entrance, where you’ll notice a Light Rune above. However, you won’t be able to proceed just yet. Return here later, after the Blue Lady grants you a Light Rune during your journey through the Rogg Mountains, and you’ll finally be able to claim the Sapphire Butterfly.
