Karina Becker informed the authorities after finding a dead body in an underground car park.

Karina Becker found a dead body next to a vehicle in an underground car park. She heard several gunshots moments before discovering the scene and immediately called the police.

Travel to the Crime Scene

The crime scene is in an Underground Car Park.

This time, let’s start with the bullet holes and the trajectory so we can see where the bullet came from. There are two bullet holes on the back wall, where the number seven is and one in the pillar. Mark them, take a photograph each and remove the projectiles. Then place the trajectory rod in the first one and then place the tripod camera. Start exposure and spray the trajectory line.

Remove the Trajectory Rod from the first bullet hole and place it in the second. Then adjust the tripod camera and spray the trajectory line.

Continue on with the blood samples. There are three in the center of the area near the gun on the floor. Mark them, take a photograph and use the Bio Material Kit.

The trajectory analysis has to be done for those loose bullets too. Place the trajectory rod and the tripod to analyse the trajectory. Repeat with the second bullet.

One of the trajectories is leading to the black car at the back. There is a digital device on the floor in front of the car. Mark it, take a photo and pick it up.

Now, there are also six fingerprints on this car. Three on the front of the hood and three on the hood but close to the driver’s door. Mark them, photograph them and remove them with the Fingerprint Kit.

Analyzing the Evidence

Back in the Lab, read the emails. You will receive two fingerprints and a DNA Profile.

Let’s start with the firearm found at the crime scene. Insert the gun into the Reference Projectiles Workstation. Then, shoot the firearm and collect the bullet from the water tank.

Compare the projectiles at the Projectile Comparison Workstation. We need to find out which bullets are from the found gun. Two of them, the ones on the ground, match. One at 59, 104 and the other one at 55, 59

Next, decrypt the digital device, Smartphone – Korellia.

Then, analyze all the Fingerprints at the Fingerprint Analysis station to compare them against the two fingerprint samples provided. Three fingerprints match Frank Neumann, and three match Tom Berger. Here we have another case where the minutiae matches are not accepted even though they are obvious. Quite frustrating but I hit “match anyway”. Tom Berger’s fingerprint seems to be tainted in the system – or it’s just buggy.

Now head over to the Bio Evidence Analysis Station. Put the three samples from the crime scene inside. Wait until all samples are analyzed, then pick up the results.

Then do the DNA Comparison. Compare the crime scene samples to Frank Neumann.
The first matches in the middle row at 15-17.

A second sample matches in the bottom row from 12 to 16.

A third sample matches in the middle row from 23 to 24.2.

Send off your evidence by email. It is confirmed that Tom Berger killed Frank Neumann – both were involved in the Shattered Cash Machine Case. Tom Berger was arrested in a hotel room and a handgun was found.

Return to the Reference Projectiles Workstation, shoot the firearm and collect the bullet from the water tank. Then compare it to the bullets found at the crime scene. The three bullets in the wall match with Tom Berger’s projectile at 275, 156 – 233, 111 and 41, 353.

Send off the results. Tom Berger confessed and the crime scene is clean.
