Every Planet Coin on Palette Prime in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is tied to a quest – there are no coins just sitting out in the open waiting to be grabbed. That means the fastest way to collect them all is simply to complete every side quest you can find across Paletteville, the Spellbound Woods, and the Pumpkin Patch. This guide lists all of them in alphabetical order, shows you the exact location on the map, and walks you through each one step by step.

Blue Coin Challenge
The Blue Coin Challenge is tucked away near the pond in the Spellbound Woods. The blue pipe entrance is visible, but there’s no ladder up to it – you’ll need to use your Scanner Ability to reveal one. Once you drop down inside, scan again to find a hidden pipe, then push a box down onto a pressure plate to complete the challenge and earn your Planet Coin.
Bridge to Darkmess
There’s a Darkmess barrier at the water north of Paletteville. Walk around the large snake-head landmark nearby to find the square key for the barrier device — the same key you need for the Bury the Hatchet quest.
Go through the barrier and follow the path east of Paletteville. Use your Scanner Ability on the yellow footprints you find near a large “wave” block to build a bridge across the water to a Darkmess puddle. Destroy it to collect the Planet Coin.
Closing the Gap
Make your way to the Pumpkin Patch area. If you need directions, refer to the Creepy Hollow section below. Head all the way to the south-west corner of the Pumpkin Patch, where yellow footprints signal that your Scanner Ability will build a bridge across the chasm. Defeat the enemy on the other side to collect the Planet Coin.
Creepy Hollow
To reach the Pumpkin Patch, first clear the Darkmess barrier north of Paletteville using the square key found near the snake-head landmark – the same one used in the Bury the Hatchet quest.
From there, continue east past the barrier and descend a ladder. A triangle-key barrier blocks your path further north. Follow the long path north to find the triangle key next to a roaming Wildclaw. The device that accepts it is on the parallel path back to where you came from.
Pumpkin 1 – Hidden behind the rock wall, north of the patch
Look at the rock wall just north of the Pumpkin Patch. A faint yellow wave symbol on the surface is your cue to use the Scanner Ability. An arrow appears pointing right – walk straight through the bushes in that direction. On the other side, scan again to build a bridge, cross it, and pick up the pumpkin head. Bring it back and place it on one of the three headless scarecrows.
Pumpkin 2 – Inside a tree, south of the Pumpkin Patch Fast Travel Flag
The second pumpkin head is tucked inside a tree just south of the Pumpkin Patch fast travel flag. Interact with the tree to shake it loose, then pick it up and carry it back to a scarecrow.
Pumpkin 3 – Behind the farmhouse
The third pumpkin is right behind the farmhouse at the Pumpkin Patch. It’s not hidden, which somehow makes it the easiest one to miss. Pick it up, place it on the last scarecrow, and the quest completes. Your reward is a Planet Coin.
Evil by the Lake
Destroy the large Darkmess puddle across the bridge by the lake. To reach it, follow the directions for the Palette Prime Pipe section to get through the barrier north of Paletteville, then cross east.
Giant Surprise
This Planet Coin is the reward for winning the Locked Pipe challenge – accessible once you’ve collected 24 Sparks. Look for yellow footprints on the ground near the pipe entrance; they lead to a spot where your Scanner Ability reveals a ladder up. Go through the pipe and defeat the enemies inside to collect the coin.
Green Coin Challenge
The Green Coin Challenge is located at Paletteville near the broken bridge, but you can’t access it until you’ve first cleared the Fungi Frenzy Darkmess puddle. Defeating that puddle gives you access to an egg, which you’ll use to destroy the Darkmess Eye causing the blockage – the eye is down at the waterfront. Throw the egg at it there.
Once that’s done, the Green Coin Challenge opens up. The coin route runs in order from the red starting ring through to the yellow finish – follow the path on the map screenshot to collect every coin in time.
Height Fright
To reach this area, clear the Darkmess barrier north of Paletteville using the square key near the snake-head landmark (same as the Bury the Hatchet quest).
The Planet Coin here is locked inside a Propeller Container north-east of Paletteville, north of the Pumpkin Patch. You also need the upgraded Wave Ability unlocked on Terra Flora to proceed.
Start by using Wave on the large purple tile to stabilise the first scrambled bridge. Cross it, then use Wave on the second purple tile from the far side to stabilise the second bridge. Cross that too and continue past the barrier up the hill, where your Scanner Ability reveals a third bridge.
Walk around the hillside to find the blue ball key. Take it back, use it on the blue barrier device, then return and stabilise the first bridge again with Wave – this also stabilises the bridge leading to the Propeller Container. Cross it and collect your Planet Coin.
Medician Hunt
A Paletteville citizen needs help hunting down Medicians. All three targets can be found roaming the area around Sweetlopek’s Workshop. Defeat them and return to the quest giver to receive your Planet Coin.
Palette Prime Pipe
Clear the Darkmess barrier north of Paletteville using the square key from the snake-head landmark nearby.
Once through the barrier, look immediately to the left. There’s a box you can push out of the way to reveal a white pipe hidden behind it. Slide through the pipe to land in a hidden area containing a Propeller Container – and your Planet Coin.
Red Coin Challenge
The Red Coin Challenge is located at the Pumpkin Patch. To reach it, follow all the steps from the Creepy Hollow section above.
Step through the red starting ring to begin. You must dash (X Button) at every opportunity to reach the finish within the time limit. Follow the route shown on the map screenshot: the path winds through the Pumpkin Patch and you need to hit every coin in order.
Sweetlopek’s Workshop
This Planet Coin is in the hills west of the spaceship. The access point is near the lake south of the spaceship – use your Scanner Ability to build a bridge across the water.
Head all the way west until you see the Propeller Container high above, along with white pipes, a large square block, and two ladders. First, use Wave to move the large square block to the right.
Now climb the first ladder and use your Scanner Ability to build a bridge over the chasm to reach the second ladder. Descend it, then use Wave to move the large square block back to the left.
Finally, climb the second ladder, take the white pipe, and step into the Propeller Container to collect your Planet Coin.
Victor’s Palette Prime Invitational
Victor and the pool where the challenge takes place are at the base of town near the water. Talk to him to start the Sillyfish Chuck Challenge: catch 6 Sillyfish from the area and throw them into the fountain within the time limit. Complete it successfully to receive your Planet Coin.
Well Hidden
Inside the Abandoned Well in the Spellbound Woods, follow the long curved wooden path downward. Halfway down, look left – a Wave Plant is blocking a side route. Destroy it with Wave, then scan the area beyond to build a bridge leading left to a hidden Darkmess puddle. Defeat it, collect the Planet Coin, and you can also grab the memory from the Techno Crab nearby.
