Harbiyah Gear Chests – 6

Harbiyah has six Gear Chests: the Zanj Uprising Outfit and the Zanj Uprising Sword, plus two upgrade schematics for each. Most of them are locked away behind shelf puzzles or barred doors.

1 – Zanj Uprising Outfit

Location: On board the boat at the Upper Harbor

You come here during the Ali ibn Muhammad investigation, when you free one of the rebels on the boat. Grab the Gear Chest while you are on board. The room below deck is blocked by movable shelves.

There is enough room to push the shelves to the sides. Rearrange them until you can reach the back of the room, where the chest is.

2 – Zanj Uprising Outfit Schematic

Location: Roof of the Khurasan Gate Guardhouse

Head to the Khurasan Gate Guardhouse. An elevator rope takes you up to the top of the courtyard wall.

On the roof is a fenced-in area with the chest inside, guarded by another shelf puzzle. There is a terracotta pot behind the shelf. Destroy it with your knife first, so you can push the shelf to the back. Then destroy the other terracotta pots and slide through to the chest.

3 – Zanj Uprising Outfit Schematic

Location: Inside the Prince’s Palace, ground level

The Prince’s Palace is heavily guarded, but the interior is small. Once you are inside and have dealt with the guards, the chest is easy to reach on ground level.

4 – Zanj Uprising Sword

Location: Damascus Gate Prison, below the main entrance

Just below the guards at the prison’s main entrance is a room with a barred door.

Go around to the other side of the door. There is a hole in the metal fence, where you can throw a knife through to open the door. Then walk back and through the door to the chest.

5 – Zanj Uprising Sword Upgrade Schematic

Location: Guard tower at the Metal Factory, upper floor

The chest is heavily guarded behind a barred door on the upper floor of the guard tower.

Go to the other side of the door. Throw a knife through the small open window to destroy the barrier, then go through the door to the chest.

6 – Zanj Uprising Sword Upgrade Schematic

Location: Center building of the Soap Boiler’s District

The second sword schematic is in the protected area of the Soap Boiler’s District. Look for the center building with the colorful soaps spread out in front of it.

Enter at ground level and destroy the ceiling with one or two throwing knives. Then climb up and open the chest.

Harbiyah Lost Books – 2

There are two Lost Books in Harbiyah: Al-Tabari: Tafsir of Al-Tabari and Kalila wa-Dimna. Both are hidden behind puzzles.

1 – Al-Tabari: Tafsir of Al-Tabari

Location: Secret basement near the Nestorian Monastery

Find the secret basement entrance near the Nestorian Monastery.

The basement has another moving shelf puzzle. On one side is a blocked slide-through passage at the bottom of a wall. You can move two shelves to free it, but it is still blocked on the other side of the wall.

On the other side of the basement is a shelf you can pull all the way towards you. This opens the blocked passage, and you can slide through to the other side of the room.

The Lost Book is on a bookshelf behind a curtain.

2 – Kalila wa-Dimna

Location: Building with a barred door, together with the Kalila and Dimna Historical Site

This Lost Book shares a building with a Historical Site orb. The front door is barred, so climb up to the open window to get in.

Pick up a throwing knife in the room with the open window if you do not have one. Go down the stairs and throw the knife at the red oil flask.

The explosion opens the barred door, and the book is inside.

Harbiyah Enigma Solutions – 3

Harbiyah has three Enigma scrolls. Each one is a drawing or a text that leads you to a hidden treasure. Picking up the scroll counts for the collectible, and solving it gets you the reward.

1 – A Holy Hoard Enigma Solution

Enigma scroll: Inside an open house on the ground floor
Treasure: Nestorian Monastery
Reward: Tan Abbasid Knight Outfit Dye

The house with the scroll is open, so you can walk straight in and pick it up.

Open the scroll in your bag inventory under Enigmas. It shows a drawing of a church with an arrow pointing to an X underneath a tree.

Solution: The church is the Nestorian Monastery in the north. The treasure pile is on the eastern waterside at the base of a big tree.

2 – Find What I Stole! Enigma Solution (Soap Boilers)

Treasure: Fabric market next to the Soap Boiler’s District
Reward: Black Zanj Uprising Outfit Dye

The scroll is at a small campsite near the water, at the base of the city walls southwest of the Qutrabbul Gate.

Open the scroll in your bag inventory under Enigmas. It is a text titled Find What I Stole!

Solution: The text mentions the Soap Boilers, the district south of the scroll. The whole area is full of colorful fabrics, but the treasure is not in the soap-making complex itself. It is at the fabric market nearby. Look for the colorful triangle fabric roofs. In the center of them is a little house, and the treasure is inside.

3 – Left Behind Enigma Solution

Treasure: Abandoned village on the west coast of the Wilderness

The scroll is inside a room with two barred access points at the location shown on the map. Collapse the scaffolding to get in through the window. The scroll lies next to a dead body.

Open the scroll in your bag inventory under Enigmas. It shows houses by the water with a red lion or bear.

Solution: Something happened with a wild animal in a village. Leave Baghdad and head to the west coast of the Wilderness. There is an abandoned village full of wild animals that attack you on sight. Follow the coastline south and stay near the water until you see the hanging fish and the pier. That is where the treasure is buried.

Harbiyah Dervis’ Artifacts – 4

There are four Dervis’ Artifacts in Harbiyah. Each one has to be pickpocketed from the person carrying it and brought back to Dervis to support the rebels’ cause.

Location: Dyeing Factory

A worker at the Dyeing Factory carries this artifact. She moves around, so follow her until you can pickpocket her.

2 – Buddhist Votive Plaque

Location: Southeast of the Damascus Gate Prison

A man is sweeping the floor southeast of the prison. Pickpocket him to get the artifact.

3 – Money Cowrie

Location: Near the Upper Harbor

The person with this artifact is near the Upper Harbor. Pickpocket them to get it.

4 – Scandinavian Brooch

Location: Guarded merchant, see the map

The merchant with this artifact is heavily guarded. There is also a bag you can steal nearby, but taking anything here makes the guards attack. Pickpocket the merchant carefully to get the artifact.

Harbiyah Historical Sites – 13

Historical Sites are the easiest collectibles in Harbiyah. They show up on the map with a Historical Site symbol, and in the world you see a bright glowing orb. Interact with it to unlock the Codex entry for that location.

Location: Prince’s Palace entrance gate

The orb is right at the entrance gate of the Prince’s Palace.

2 – Abbasid Revolution

Location: Border to the Administrative District

You find this orb right at the border to the Administrative District.

3 – Alcohol Production and Consumption

Location: Fields of Zubaydiyah in the north

This orb is in the fields of Zubaydiyah in the north of Harbiyah.

4 – Ceramics and Lustrewares

Location: Metal Factory in Shari’

Go to the Metal Factory in the Shari’ District to find this orb.

5 – Emporium of the World

Location: In front of the Qutrabbul Gate

Head to the Qutrabbul Gate in the northwest. The orb is right in front of it.

6 – Expansion of Islam through Trade

Location: Metal Factory in Shari’

The second orb at the Metal Factory in the Shari’ District.

7 – Greeks Bearing Gifts

Location: Courtyard in front of the Prince’s Palace

In the big courtyard in front of the Prince’s Palace entrance is a throne with this orb.

8 – Hajj (Pilgrimage to Mecca)

Location: Top of the Great Mosque

Climb to the top of the Great Mosque to find this orb.

9 – Kalila and Dimna

Location: Same barred building as the Kalila wa-Dimna Lost Book

This orb is in the same building as the second Lost Book. Climb in through the open window, then throw a knife at the red oil flask downstairs to open the barred door. See Lost Book 2 – Kalila wa-Dimna for the screenshots of each step. The orb is inside, next to the book.

10 – Maritime Trading

Location: Roof of the building north of the Upper Harbor

Climb to the top of the building north of the Upper Harbor to pick up this Historical Site.

11 – Pillars of Islam

Location: Great Mosque entrance gate

Visit the Great Mosque and find this orb at the entrance gate.

12 – Prisons

Location: Damascus Gate Prison entrance

This orb is at the entrance of the Damascus Gate Prison.

13 – The Banu Musa Brothers

Location: Second floor of the Harbiyah Bureau

This orb is on the second floor inside the Harbiyah Bureau.

Harbiyah Mysterious Shards – 2

Mysterious Shards are carried by members of the Order, who walk around specific areas of the city with guards. The shard symbol only shows up on the map after a certain point in the story, but you can still run into a carrier by chance before that. The map shows the rough area where each carrier walks.

Location: Soap Boiler’s District

One shard carrier is in the Soap Boiler’s District. She can attack you when you get close. Take her down and loot the Mysterious Shard from her body.

2 – Dyeing Factory Shard

Location: South of the Dyeing Factory

The second carrier walks around south of the Dyeing Factory and stops at a hay cart on the way. Pickpocket the shard or take it from his body.

Harbiyah Tale of Baghdad – 1

There is only one Tale of Baghdad in Harbiyah: Holy Mission at the Nestorian Monastery.

Location: Cemetery of the Nestorian Monastery

Talk to the monk at the cemetery of the Nestorian Monastery. He walks around searching for something.

Open Assassin Focus. The gravestones you can interact with are highlighted in red. Look for the one overgrown with flowers close to the water.

Once the tale is done, the monk is pleased and the side quest is complete.
