Commitment: Sarah Morgan is a short mission with no combat. It is all travel and conversations, and the whole wedding takes place in Paradiso.

How to Start Commitment: Sarah Morgan

Marrying Sarah takes a few steps before the mission shows up. At the waterfall at the end of In Memoriam, choose romance instead of friendship to start the relationship.

Keep Sarah as your active companion and keep earning her approval. After a while she wants to talk again and brings up her mother. Pick [Commitment] I’d like to spend our future together, forever to propose.

Sarah accepts, but she needs time to prepare, so the wedding does not start right away. Keep traveling with her until she asks to talk again, which starts Commitment: Sarah Morgan. You also get the option to invite her mother to the wedding. Saying yes adds step 3 to the mission.

Commitment Not Starting? Check These First

Sarah is not your active companion: The follow-up conversations only trigger while she travels with you.
You chose friendship in In Memoriam: Without the romance choice at the waterfall, the commitment option never appears.
Not enough time has passed: The proposal and the wedding are two separate conversations with playtime in between. Keep doing missions with Sarah along.
Sarah died in High Price to Pay: If Sarah is the companion you lost, you cannot marry her.

1 – Proceed to Paradiso

Open the Starmap and set a course for the Porrima system, east of Alpha Centauri. Land at Paradiso on Porrima II with Sarah on board.

2 – Speak to Sarah

Sarah meets you right at the landing platform. She asks whether this is really what you want, so confirm it to move on to the next step.

3 – Speak to Abigail

This step only happens if you invited Sarah’s mother. Abigail Morgan waits behind the big Paradiso complex, near the beach. Follow the marker past the Welcome Paradiso building and introduce yourself. She shares a few memories of Sarah before the ceremony.

If you did not invite her, the mission skips this step and sends you straight to Aja Mamasa.

4 – Speak to Aja Mamasa

Aja Mamasa leads the ceremony and is standing nearby. Talk to her to start the wedding. Once the ceremony is over, you and Sarah are married and the mission is complete.

Commitment: Sarah Morgan Rewards

Marriage gift: Sarah gives you a gift that you can place at any of your outposts.
Committed partner: Your relationship status changes to committed partner, the highest relationship level in Starfield.
Starcrossed achievement: If Sarah is the first companion you reach the maximum relationship level with, the Starcrossed achievement or trophy unlocks.

What Changes After You Marry Sarah

There are no romance cutscenes in Starfield. Married life with Sarah shows up in smaller ways: she smiles more when she sees you and has warmer dialogue. When you sleep in a bed with her around, she wakes up next to you and comments on your time together.

How to End the Commitment

You can end the marriage at any time. Talk to Sarah, choose to discuss your relationship and pick the option to end the commitment. After that, you are free to pursue a relationship with another companion.
