Key Part Intel: HD05-G Circuit
Location: Mountain Hideout, west of the Shipjacker Workshop – Lost Steppe, Toshara
Requirement: Speeder Speed Boost and the Bolt blaster upgrade

What You Need Before You Go

You need two upgrades to reach the HD05-G Circuit. The Speed Boost for your speeder from The Mechanic gets you across the cliff jump. The Bolt upgrade for your blaster, which you get in the Gunsmith quest after The Safecracker, breaks the boulders on the way and frees one of the propellers.

Jump the Speeder Ramp

The Mountain Hideout sits on a mountain west of the Shipjacker Workshop in the Lost Steppe. Use your Speed Boost on the ramp shown on the map below to jump the gap and land on the mountain.

After the jump, you climb up and blast a boulder with Bolt to squeeze through to the hideout. The full climb is in the Smuggler’s Hideout guide.

At the Mountain Hideout, look for the only door. It has three lamps above it, one for each propeller. Turn all three propellers on to switch every lamp from red to green and unlock the door.

Propeller 1 – Turn It Back On With Nix

You switched off one propeller to get into the Mountain Hideout. Send Nix back to the controls to turn it on again.

Propeller 2 – Blast the Boulder at the Base

Follow the power cables down to the base of the Mountain Hideout. A small propeller there is jammed by a boulder. Destroy the boulder with Bolt and the propeller starts spinning again.

Propeller 3 – Pull the Two Levers With Nix

The third propeller is the big one with two levers. Send Nix to one lever and hold the other yourself at the same time. Nix only holds his lever for a short moment, so time your pull to match his.

With all three lamps green, the door opens. Head inside and open the treasure box to take the HD05-G Circuit.

What the HD05-G Circuit Unlocks

The HD05-G Circuit is the key part for the final Ion Burst upgrade (Damage) in the Ion module of Kay’s blaster. Looking for the Light Plasma key part next? The BT-009S Fastshot Trigger is also in the Lost Steppe, and the rest of the region’s loot is in the Lost Steppe treasures guide.
