Main Quest: The Safecracker (Step 1 of 5)
Location: Kijimi Spaceport – Kijimi
Quest Text: “Kay is looking for the safecracker named Ank, but Kijimi is deeply affected by a civil war between the ruling Ashiga Clan and Crimson Dawn operatives. It seems like getting Ank out will be complicated.”

After The Wreck, the Trailblazer can jump to other systems, and Kay sets out to recruit a crew for the heist. Hyperjump to the Kijimi System and land at the Kijimi Spaceport to look for Ank, the best safecracker in the Outer Rim.

A welcoming committee from the Ashiga Clan waits at the spaceport exit. After the talk, the Ashiga Clan is added to the Reputation section of your in-game menu.

Main Quest: The Safecracker (Step 2 of 5)
Location: Domak Refectory, then Ashiga Clan District – Kijimi City

Head to the Domak Refectory cantina in the northwest of Kijimi City and ask the bartender about Ank. He tells Kay that the Ashiga Clan caught Ank and put her to work in their factory to pay off the credits she owes them. To find out more, Kay has to get into the Ashiga Clan District.

How to Sneak into the Ashiga Clan District

Go to Queen’s Road in the south of the city. Near the Queen Ashiga Statue, two guards stand at the main gate. Just to the right of them, slip through the opening in the wall shown in the screenshots below.

Slice the Terminal to Find Ank

Your target is the building with the large radar dish on the roof. One of the guards nearby carries the keycard for the front door, but you can skip it by dealing with the guards and lockpicking the side entrance. Slice the terminal in the room marked Noki’s Stash.

The same room holds Noki’s Stash with the Kijimi Explorer Fuel for the Trailblazer, and a collectible on the table: Jet’s Journal #8 Ashiga Clan.

The terminal does not reveal where Ank is. It does mention a relic that Crimson Dawn stole from the Ashiga Clan, which is causing tension in Kijimi City. The new plan is to return the relic to the Ashiga Clan and ask for Ank’s release as a reward. ND-5 suggests looking for it at the Wellspring, a private club in the thermal district.

Main Quest: The Safecracker (Step 3 of 5)
Location: The Wellspring, Thermal District – Kijimi City

The Wellspring is in the thermal district in the northeast of Kijimi City.

The front entrance is well guarded, but a passage leads around the building to the right.

At the back of the building, an access shaft with an open vent lets you inside.

How to Steal the Relic from Crimson Dawn

Follow the shaft and drop down into the kitchen. Take care of the guard at the counter, then lockpick the only available door. It opens onto the mezzanine of a big room, where Kay can look down at an exhibit that turns out to be the stolen relic.

The room is heavily guarded. Enter quietly and move to the left until you reach a door locked with a keycard. Take the keycard from a guard on the ground floor, or pick the lock from the other side.

Inside, use the computer to switch off the forcefield around the relic, then take it.

Main Quest: The Safecracker (Step 4 of 5)
Location: The Wellspring, Thermal District – Kijimi City

With the Bann Pu’dira relic gone, the Crimson Dawn guards at the Wellspring go on high alert. Leave the exhibit room by the main staircase on the ground floor and head for the well-lit exit. It leads to a large inner courtyard full of Crimson Dawn guards. If they spot you, you have to fight your way across.

The round door on the other side is locked and can only be picked when you are out of combat. Inside are four round wooden bathtubs. Across from a chest, a vent takes you out of the Wellspring.

Main Quest: The Safecracker (Step 5 of 5)
Location: Ashiga Clan Stronghold – Kijimi City

Head to the Ashiga Clan Stronghold in the south of Kijimi City and talk to the guard to meet the queen. Queen Ashiga gladly takes the relic and promises to release Ank if Kay cooperates. Her daughter Krisk seems to have other plans, but the queen dismisses her.

Finishing the quest raises your reputation with the Ashiga Clan and lowers it with Crimson Dawn.

What to Do After The Safecracker

Ank is not free yet. You can choose which quest to tackle next: stay on Kijimi, or recruit the rest of the heist crew with The Heavy on Tatooine and The Droidsmith on Akiva. Back on the Trailblazer, ND-5 offers a blaster upgrade in the Gunsmith quest, which you need for the BT-009S Fastshot Trigger Key Intel.
