1 – Infiltration
Faro is still looking for the key. The crew wants to find it in Venice during the carnival. Sophia has to climb the church and give the signal, because Faro wants her out of the action.
Leni and Sophia start the chapter in a boat on one of the canals. You cannot steer or interact during the ride. Leni suggests that Sophia should lead the group. Gameplay starts as they dock.
Climb the ladder by the dock to move on.
At the top, jump across the roofs to reach the fortified wall.
Up here Sophia learns how to kill an enemy from above. Take out the guards in the small courtyard, then enter the building to open the gate for the boats.
Jump: X on PlayStation, A on Xbox, Space on PC
Attack while in the air: Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox, Left Mouse on PC
Leni then picks the lock on the door to the next area. The crew drop their weapons into a barrel and put on carnival masks. The white cloth with the red flower on that barrel is the marker you follow for the rest of the route.
There are no collectibles in this sub-chapter.
2 – The Carnival
Follow the alley down and you are inside the carnival. From here you need to reach the church by following the white cloths with the red flower. The first passage with a cloth leads to a small area with a dock.
The only thing Sophia can interact with here is the fountain, and it is purely decorative. When you are ready, go through the passage guarded by soldiers.
Artefact 2 – Relic of the Present: Serenissima Banner
Description:
“We never could see eye to eye with the army of Venice. They’re dead set on hunting us down, even when we stay out of their way. They can try and kill us all. That city will always be our home.”
The next area has music and dancing right by the canal. Find the next white cloth around the corner, and fireworks go off as Sophia approaches it.
Go through the archway and stay in this area by the canal. The Serenissima Banner is down by the dock, next to a boat, on the right before you cross the bridge. Pick it up with Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox or E on PC.
From there, cross the bridge. You can see another white cloth on the other side, where soldiers are making everyone remove their masks. Follow Leni instead. She knows a way around it and picks a nearby locked door.
Follow her through the door into a backyard with pigs and chickens, then squeeze through the wooden gap to continue.
Charm: Beads
Right after the gap, turn right and open the box in the alcove with Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox or E on PC. It holds the Beads Charm for Sophia.
Description: “Every bead I have serves to remind me that death can come from anywhere.”
Effect: Slight Chance that an archer’s arrow misses you.
Artefact 3 – Relic of the Present: Bombasin Mask
Description:
“I can’t explain it, but something about this mask makes me feel wrong. It’s like I’m six again, trapped in a nightmare that I can’t tell apart from my visions.”
The church courtyard ahead is packed with people celebrating. Coming from the Charm, turn right at the courtyard to find the Bombasin Mask lying on the floor behind the stacked amphorae.
Trophy: Theater Enthusiast
Easy to walk straight past. Follow the path behind the stage with the fire jugglers and you will find a puppet show. Stand in front of it and watch for roughly a minute without moving away, and the trophy unlocks.
There is no prompt and no button to press, so it is worth doing on this playthrough rather than coming back for it.
Blade: Falchion Sword
To reach the church, cross the courtyard, go past the guarded entrance into the alley at the back, where another white cloth marks a gap to squeeze through.
On the other side, head to the dock to get Sophia’s weapons back out of the barrel. You cannot skip this. The Falchion Sword and the grapnel that comes with it are both needed to climb the church, so the story does not continue until you pick them up.
The Falchion lets you perform the Momentum Strike, which deals bonus damage after a successful Critical Strike.
If you pre-ordered the Heritage Pack, you also get the Hero’s Blade here. It is a cosmetic alternative and is not needed for any trophy or for 100% completion.
Sophia can now use the grapnel to climb the church.
Throw the grapnel: R2 on PlayStation, RT on Xbox, F on PC
Then climb up or down with the left stick, or with W and S on PC. Keep following the grapnel points to reach the top of the church.
On the roof, look past the cross to spot a bright light in the distance. Use the mirror to signal the crew and aim it at that light.
Use the mirror: hold R1 on PlayStation, hold RB on Xbox. On PC it is the interact key, E by default.
The second signal is on the same side as the grapnel point. If both land, you see the explosion go off in the distance.
3 – Rats in a Barrel
After the explosion, go back to the first grapnel point. Sophia spots soldiers from above and realises the whole thing was a trap and the crew has been betrayed. This is where you learn the grapple-swing.
Grapple-swing: L2 on PlayStation, LT on Xbox, the grapnel key on PC.
Swing across to the other side of the roof.
Keep moving across the roofs using the new swing point. At the far end there is a zipline over to the next roof.
Sophia meets her first archer on the other side. This is the tutorial for hooking an enemy at range and pulling them in. Aim at him and throw the grapnel with R2 on PlayStation, RT on Xbox or F on PC to pull him off the roof, then shimmy across to the ledge where he was standing.
Charm: Bracelets
From the ledge where the archer was, turn immediately left. The second Charms box is on this roof.
Description: “The heavier the hand, the stronger the strikes. That’s the old gang proverb.”
Effect: Slight Chance to deal more damage with a Critical Strike.
From the archer’s roof, cross to the next one and use the grapnel on two more archers. Then move to the left roof, where there is a swing point to the other side.
Keep going across the roofs and into the top floor of a broken building, where one more archer is waiting. Go through the building and you reach the Arsenal.
4 – On the Run
Head downstairs and through the door to join the fight.
The chest is loaded onto the boat nearby. Climb the ladder to the platform and take the zipline across to the ship.
Resonance Points
Open the chest with Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox or E on PC. Sophia gets 5 Resonance Points and the skill tree unlocks. There are five skills to choose from and you have enough points for one of them right away.
Resonance Points are the one thing in this chapter that does not carry over through chapter select, so spend them in the run you earn them in.
More soldiers rush in as soon as you have picked a skill, including a heavy one whose red attacks cannot be blocked. Dodge those with Circle on PlayStation, B on Xbox or Ctrl on PC, and punish him in between.
After the fight, sprint through the passage he breaks open. Sprint with R2 on PlayStation, RT on Xbox or Shift on PC. From there, squeeze through the gap in the metal gate and keep running. If you get the chance, kill an archer to recover health. There is a ladder at the end of the canals. Climb it and meet up with Leni.
5 – Inferno
After the cutscene, where Sophia tells Leni it was a trap and everyone is dead, she hurries into the den to gather the documents and books before escaping through a hatch as the fire spreads.
Follow the path through the fire to a ladder. Climb it to get outside and see how far the fire has gone.
Leni waits at the end of the pier, but it collapses and Sophia has to cross through the burning structure to reach the next dock.
The structure gives way as you jump across, but there is a grapnel point nearby that takes you up to a group of soldiers. Defeat them and use the swing point to reach the next burning section.
From there, drop into the house below and clear another group of soldiers. Take the staircase up to get out. At the top, Faro attacks and Sophia has to fight him. Parry his attacks with L1 on PlayStation, LB on Xbox or Right Mouse on PC.
After the fight, keep following the pier and swing across to the other side again. Once a thick burning beam drops, continue by climbing the platform on the right.
Use the zipline at the top to finally reach Leni and the boat. The Felons achievement unlocks as the chapter ends.

Chapter 2 FAQ
How many collectibles are in Chapter 2 Felons?
Ten in total: 1 Blade, 2 Artefacts, 2 Charms and 5 Resonance Points. Only four of them have to be searched for. The Blade and the Resonance Points are handed to you by the story.

Yes. The Artefacts and Charms can be picked up later through chapter select, and the Blade cannot be missed at all. The Resonance Points are the exception and do not carry over.
How do you get the Theater Enthusiast trophy?
In The Carnival, follow the path behind the stage with the fire jugglers to a puppet show, and stand watching it for about a minute.
Where is the Falchion Sword in Chapter 2?
You cannot miss it. Sophia gets it automatically from the barrel at the dock when she retrieves her weapons, together with the grapnel she needs to climb the church.
How do you use the grapnel?
Throw it with R2 on PlayStation, RT on Xbox or F on PC. The grapple-swing is L2 on PlayStation and LT on Xbox. On PC both are handled by the grapnel key by default.
