Pilgrim’s Landing Berserker Gravestone – God of War Ragnarok

Pilgrim’s Landing is one of the more hidden spots in Vanaheim, tucked in the south west of the map and reachable only by boat. It’s a short area to clear, with just four collectibles: a Legendary Chest, a Lore Marker, the Pilgrim’s Landing Berserker Gravestone, and the three-part Cure for the Dead quest.

To get there, first head to the Mystic Gateway: Freyr’s Camp. It has a Boat Dock and – most importantly – a Celestial Altar. This is the mean part: You can only reach Pilgrim’s Landing at Daytime. If you try to follow the river at night, the stream is blocked by a fallen tree all across the river. BUT – If you do this at daytime, vines will grow and magically pull up the log barrier and you can pass.

So, before you hop into the boat, make sure you set the time of day to daytime at the Celestial Altar. Then, all you need to do is follow the stream until you reach the RIVER DELTA. To get to Pilgrim’s landing from here, stay to your right (south west on the map) and you will soon find a Boat Dock to start your collectibles hunt!

Pilgrim’s Landing is one of the easier and fast forward areas in Vanaheim. There are only 4 collectibles to complete this area.

The Legendary Chest is right next to the third and last ingredient for the CURE FOR THE DEAD RIVER DELTA FAVOURS QUEST.

Lore Marker: Dead on Arrival

You can find this Lore Marker while completing the CURE FOR THE DEAD – RIVER DELTA FAVOURS. You can either follow the instructions there or you can read on.

Once you’re up there you will see a burning cauldron and plant growth at the other side. There seems to be a drawbridge that is blocked. Shoot a pink arrow to the cauldron so that the fire will burn the plants.

Now you can see two blue shields left and right of the drawn bridge. Destroy those shields by throwing your axe at them. This will drop the bridge and you can follow the path to the other side. You will have to fight a Nokken ahead. After you’ve defeated them, look for the Lore Marker close to the second drawbridge.

Head over to the Pilgrim’s Landing Boat Dock. As soon as you get off the boat, you will see the shining Berserker Gravestone nearby.

Behind the Berserker Gravestone, is a dead body. When you get near enough, a spirit will rise from it and asks you to be healed. Freya will tell you that you have to find Mangold, Mire, and Pome.

Now you can see two blue shields left and right of the drawn bridge. Destroy those shields by throwing your axe at them. This will drop the bridge. Cross it and climb up at the other side. You can now pick up the first ingredient. It’s a red mushroom.

Follow the path. You will have to fight a Nokken ahead. After you’ve defeated them, look for the second ingredient in the small pond next the yellow glowing chest. It’s a light blue mushroom. There is also a Lore Marker standing tall next to the drawbridge.

For the third ingredient, you first have to drop the second drawbridge in front of you. Follow the red plant growth and look to the right. There is a pendulum with two unlit cauldrons stuck on a big tree. Throw your axe at the blue shield to free this pendulum. Then, when close enough, interact with it to swing it to the right. This will light up one of the cauldrons on the pendulum.

Next, you have to light up the other cauldron on the pendulum. Shoot a pink arrow into the centre of the pendulum and enlarge the dome by shooting it again with an arrow until the unlit cauldron is within reach of the lit cauldron. Now shoot a pink arrow at the cauldron with the fire. This will light up the second cauldron on the pendulum.

All you have to do now is swing it to the left and the plant growth will burn. You can then drop the drawbridge. Destroy the two blue shields with your axe, like you did with the first drawbridge.

After you’ve dropped the bridge, cross over. The last ingredient is on the floor, next to the Legendary Chest. Then, return to the spirit to finish the quest.
