How to Find and Enter Old Kofun in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To find the Old Kofun, look for the question mark on your map in the eastern section of Izumi Settsu. You can fast-travel from Sakai and head east or walk directly from the Sakai Kakurega. The entrance is marked by a crack in a rocky wall next to a brazier.

Entering the Dungeon

Upon locating the entrance, squeeze through the gap and drop down into the cavern. Follow the pathway until you reach the first burial chamber. Here, you’ll find a small chest. Crawl through the narrow gap next to the chest to proceed.

Exploring the Old Kofun Dungeon

Continue along the path to a chamber adorned with pottery, where you can turn left. Proceed to the larger room with a central pool. Use the overhead grapple point to swing across the pool. Follow the path to a staircase leading further down, where you’ll find another small chest on your left.

Reaching the Treasure

Dive into the pool of water on your right and swim through the underwater passage. Emerge on the other side and use the grapple to swing across. Continue forward to a cave filled with water. Crawl through the opening in the cave wall to reach the largest room yet.

In the grand treasure chamber, use the double swing mechanism to cross the water and claim the treasure. To exit, take the path adjacent to the treasure chest and use a Kunai to detonate explosive flasks, clearing your way out.

Navigating the Old Kofun is a rewarding adventure filled with challenges and stunning details. By staying on course and using the tools at your disposal wisely, you can claim the treasure’s riches and make your escape with ease.
