Vernon’s Request is a short side quest in Crimson Desert that unlocks after completing A Rumor in the Calphade Gate. Vernon wants to build a scarecrow for hand-to-hand combat training and needs five fleeces to do it.
This guide shows you where to find Vernon at the bonfire in the southwest of Howling Hill, where to pick up the fleece at a sheep ranch near Hernand, and how to hand it over to complete the quest and earn 3x Inventory Expansion.

Quest description:
“Vernon said he needs to prepare for combat even without a weapon and asked for fleece to make a scarecrow for hand-to-hand combat training.”
Talk to Vernon
Vernon is by the new bonfire in the southwest of Howling Hill, together with Niall.
Get 5 Fleece
Like Gerald’s Request with the Eggs, Vernon is sending you out to find Fleece at a nearby farm. This time it’s closer to Hernand town, a sheep ranch west of it. The fleece is ready to be picked up on top of a wooden box. You can take all of them without stealing.
Hand Over the Fleece
Return to Vernon and hand over the fleece.
