Secret Weapon is the opening questline of Chapter 10: Counterattack in Crimson Desert, following Enlightenment. It spans five quests and takes you to the war-torn Gorthak area on the coast, where clockwork insects have overrun the Ironworks. To push back, you need to track down an Orc engineer named Valgash and get your hands on his invention – the A.T.A.G., an armored combat vehicle. This guide covers all five quests, including the Gate of Peace approach, finding Valgash, and how to operate the A.T.A.G. in combat.

#1 – Untouchable
Secret Weapon is the first questline of Chapter 10: Counterattack. It consists of five quests, starting with Untouchable.
Description
“Join your comrades waiting at Fort Musket’s outpost.”
Rally at the Outpost
The outpost is just north of the Spire of Clockwork, where you fought against Bastier in Traitor. It’s warm here. Make sure to wear fire-resistant armor. Enter the outpost and head up to the main tent.
#2 – The Gate of War
Description:
“To bring down the flying fortress, Valgash’s technology is required. Find him at Gorthak Ironworks.”
Go to the Gate of Peace
You are now being sent south, to the coast near Gorthak. The Gate of Peace and Gorthak are one massive warzone with robotic clockwork insects. To start the next step, reach the Gate of Peace. This starts a cutscene.
Activate the Device on the Upper Level
Run to the other building and climb the staircase to the top.
Keep climbing. The second stretch is a narrow, winding staircase up the tower. At the top, insert the Disruptor and operate the handle. This will destroy half of the enemy forces.
Speak with the Orc Captain
The Orc Captain is down below in the middle of the bridge.
#3 – Master of the Ironworks
Description
“Find Valgash at the Ironworks, explain the current situation, and seek his assistance.”
Find Valgash
Follow the road southeast. The best approach here is just to run for it. There will be an instant cutscene at the destination, where you meet Valgash. Follow him to the next destination, the Zargan Tankworks.
#4 – Hidden Ace
Description
“Head to the location where Valgash’s secret weapon is kept to learn more about its nature.”
Find Valgash’s Secret Weapon
Head northwest from the Zargan Tankworks. The Secret Weapon is on the upper level. Climb the ladder of one of the towers to reach the overhead wooden bridge. Follow it to a round, metallic object, the A.T.A.G. Talk to Marek there.
Description
A powerful weapon of the Ironflame Orcs.
The A.T.A.G. (All-Terrain Armored Gear) can be operated until its fuel runs out or it malfunctions. Should it become inoperable or run out of fuel, a replacement can be issued at the hangar.
After the Marek’s A.T.A.G. introduction, mount the A.T.A.G. and move to the practice ground. When you open the map, you will see that there are patches of red spread out all over the world. The A.T.A.G. cannot enter those red areas. Destroy 15 targets and return to Marek. You have to dismount to talk to him. Valgash will arrive, and you can follow him.
Operate the A.T.A.G.
You are now officially allowed to control the A.T.A.G. Return to the hangar and pull the lever to open it and operate the A.T.A.G. Use it to liberate the area marked on your map.
#5 – Clockwork Insect Clash
Description
“Gorthak is overrun with clockwork insects. Defeat them to secure the ironworks’ safety.”
Eliminate the machines occupying Gorthak
Liberate the area with or without the A.T.A.G.
Hint: EMP is the best against flying insects.
