Crimson Desert: Beyond the Silent Waves Questline Walkthrough

Starting the Quest

Beyond the Silent Waves is a Vellua Fishermen’s Guild faction questline in Crimson Desert. I received it after completing Secret of the Lost Seal for Hernand, House Serkis. The questline has four individual quests.

Quest description:
“Fishermen looking for the thrill of the catch have gathered at a fishing spot in Hernand, eager to share their tale.”

#1 – Rumor-Ridden Fishing Village

The quest has two starting points. Either you go to the fishing spot at the Nas River Fishing Dock, or you head south towards the coast to talk to a Vellua villager at the Forentin Lodge.

Listen to the Story at the Fishing Spot

Someone is telling a story at the Nas River Fishing Dock, southeast of Hernand town. He will give you a tip to go to the shore if you like fishing.

Talk to the Vellua Villager

The Vellua Villager you have to talk to next is at Forentin Lodge, north of Vellua. There are many beggars and soldiers here, as if they had fled to safety. The person to talk to is behind the house.

The stranger will tell you about the pirates.

Head down to Vellua by the coast and find out what is going on. As soon as you get close enough, Vellua in Peril begins.

#2 – Vellua in Peril

Description:
“Pirates have seized control of Vellua. The pirates must be slain and the villagers rescued.”

Stop the Pirates’ Misdeeds & Threats

Even though there are two quest objectives – to stop the Pirates’ Misdeeds & Threats, this is just a normal liberation. Look for clusters of pirates harassing a villager (an orange dot on the minimap) and wait until the villager thanks you.

You will encounter the Boss Sir Catfish at the tree quest marker locations. Damage him enough for him to disappear, and he will reappear later, at the next marker.

Rescue the Vellua Villagers

After you’ve fought Sir Catfish, head down to shore to release Lukas. You can only untie him when there are no enemies around.

Escort him to the marked, safe location. Consider riding a horse to get away from the pirates.

#3 – Shadows in the Mist

Description:
“The chief states that the pirates’ killing will continue as long as their captain remains alive. The pirates’ captain must be defeated.”

Defeat Sir Catfish

Sir Catfish is at the pond behind the church. He has a mean hit that takes you high up into the air. Apart from that, he usually strikes three times in a row. Dodge those to hit him right after.

#4 – The Town Without Fog

Description:
“Sir Catfish has fled. The Chief of Bellua must be informed.”

Return to the Chief

Return to the Lukas to inform him about Sir Catfish.
