How to Start Urban Survival

Side Story: Urban Survival
Location: Evacuation Zone – Unauthorized Mines (southwest)
Description: “Traps have been laid around a parking garage in the Evacuation Zone, but it wasn’t the FBC…”

Read the Investigation Order (Crisis Containment) collectible in the southwest of the Evacuation Zone, where the map reads Unauthorized Mines. This starts Urban Survival.

1 – Find the Person Setting Up Traps

Side Story: Urban Survival (Step 1 of 9)
Location: Evacuation Zone – Parking Garage

Enter the parking garage and follow the mines through the building. Exit on the other side and look for a building with mines in front of it. Inside is an intercom you can interact with.

After the conversation, a group of Hiss attacks. Defeat them and talk to the Survivalist again. He asks Dylan to bring Granny from his home and Olivia from his gym.

2 – Retrieve Granny from the Survivalist’s Home

Location: Evacuation Zone – apartment building (northeast)

The access point to the Survivalist’s apartment building is on the roof in the northeast of the Evacuation Zone. Head down to the apartment from there. Grab the Missing Dog (Civilian Records) collectible in the hallway on the way.

Reach the apartment on the bottom level and interact with the door panel to open it. Granny is the urn.

3 – Save Olivia from the Gym

Side Story: Urban Survival (Step 3 of 9)
Location: Evacuation Zone – Gym (center)

The gym is in the center of the Evacuation Zone. Olivia is the plant in the office.

4 – Return to the Survivalist

Location: Evacuation Zone – Survivalist’s bunker

Return to the Survivalist with Granny and Olivia in your inventory. Use the intercom, then place Granny and Olivia on the table. Confirm the placement via the intercom.

5 – Get the Survivalist’s Car Key

Location: Evacuation Zone – Survivalist’s bunker

The room opposite the intercom room is now open. The car key is inside, together with the Survivalist’s Log (Civilian Records) collectible. Take the log now: this is the only time this door is open, so the collectible is missable.

6 – Get the Apartment Key

Side Story: Urban Survival (Step 6 of 9)
Location: Evacuation Zone – Railyard Street Station (northeast)

Go to the Railyard Street Station in the northeast of the Evacuation Zone. On the road you get the option to use the Fob, which leads you to the car. Interact with it to take the Survivalist’s Apartment Key from inside.

7 – Find the Survivalist’s Brother

Location: Evacuation Zone – Survivalist’s Brother’s Apartment (north)

Head to the Survivalist’s Brother’s Apartment marker in the north of the map. Enter the building and take the elevator up. Only one door takes the Apartment Key, and the brother is at the back.

8 – Find a Memento of the Survivalist’s Brother

Side Story: Urban Survival (Step 8 of 9)
Location: Evacuation Zone – Survivalist’s Brother’s Apartment

The memento is a framed photo on the floor below the Survivalist’s brother.

9 – Take the Photo Back to the Survivalist

Location: Evacuation Zone – Survivalist’s bunker

Leave the apartment and return to the Survivalist’s bunker. Place the photo on the table, the same way as Granny and Olivia, to complete Urban Survival.

Rewards: Untapped Heart Monitor and Plate Carrier M1

Completing Urban Survival gives you an Artifact and a new top layer suit in your wardrobe.
