Assassin’s Creed Mirage Karkh Gear Chests – All 6 Locations

Abbasid Knight Outfit and Dagger Gear Chests

The six Karkh Gear Chests form two sets of three:
Abbasid Knight Outfit set: Tax Collector’s Mansion, Monastery of the Virgins and Officers’ Club
Abbasid Knight Dagger set: Qasr Salih, the Bazaar and the Great Garrison

The first chest you open in a set gives you the Outfit or the Dagger itself. The other two chests of that set hold its Upgrade Schematics, so what you find in each chest depends on the order you open them.

1 – Qasr Salih Gear Chest

Location: Qasr Salih in the very north of Karkh
Set: Abbasid Knight Dagger

You visit this house during Bird Trap, when you assassinate General Jasoor.

How to Get the Chest in Qasr Salih

The chest is at the top of the main building, guarded by a marksman. The rooftop floor above it is destructible, and you need an oil jar to break it.

One level below, on a balcony with another guard, are the oil jars. Pick one up, walk around the house with it and throw it at the destructible floor.

Drop into the room through the open ceiling and loot the Gear Chest.

2 – Tax Collector’s Mansion Gear Chest

Location: Tax Collector’s Mansion in the west of Karkh
Set: Abbasid Knight Outfit

You can collect this chest during The Toll of Greed, the last case of the Al-Anqa investigation.

The Gear Chest is on the top floor of the mansion, in the same room as Al-Anqa, the Tax Collector you assassinate in the story.

3 – Monastery of the Virgins Gear Chest

Location: Monastery of the Virgins, a restricted area in Karkh
Set: Abbasid Knight Outfit

The Monastery of the Virgins is well protected. The Gear Chest is on the ground floor at the north wall, and you can spot it with Assassin Focus.

Head to the side of the building near the hay cart and use Assassin Focus to see the exact location of the chest. Climb up to the roof from there and take out the soldiers one by one to clear the way down to the chest.

Go through the open door at ground level. A shelf in the middle of the room blocks the way. Pull it and drag it to the right, then enter and loot the chest.

4 – Bazaar Gear Chest

Location: The Bazaar in Karkh
Set: Abbasid Knight Dagger

Follow the Gear Chest marker in the Bazaar, and you quickly see that the chest is behind a barred door on the upper floor.

How to Open the Locked Door in the Bazaar

The door only opens after you finish Gilded Butterflies, the Treasurer investigation of the Karkh Bureau. Come back afterwards, enter through the front door and loot the Gear Chest on the second floor.

5 – Great Garrison Gear Chest

Location: The Great Garrison in the east of Karkh
Set: Abbasid Knight Dagger

You go to the Great Garrison during Den of the Beast, the assassination of Al-Mardikhwar, the Warlord.

With Assassin Focus, you can see the chest right at the top of the main gate.

Great Garrison Route to the Gate Tower

The easiest way is to make a detour for the chest during the Warlord mission. If you come back later, there are two Secret Entrances into the garrison. Take the one closer to the chest.

Follow the inside of the stone wall to the left, pass the inner side of the entrance gate and keep following the wall until you see a ladder to the top.

From the top of the wall, enter the gate tower. A movable shelf blocks the way. Destroy the pottery first, then move the shelf and slide through to the other side.

In the next room is a captain. Hide, climb up to the wooden beam and assassinate him from above. Then loot the chest.

6 – Officers’ Club Gear Chest

Location: Officers’ Club in the north of Karkh
Set: Abbasid Knight Outfit

The Officers’ Club is a restricted area. You get there during The Raptor and the Demon, the first mission of the Warlord investigation. The only Karkh Enigma, Solve This Problem Quickly For Me, is in the same restricted area, so you can grab it on the same visit.

The easiest way is to approach the building from the riverside. From there, you see the Gear Chest with Assassin Focus. Take care of the guards, using the tall grass for cover, and the last Karkh Gear Chest is yours.
