How Every Dog Has Her Day Works

In every zone, find the dog first, then look for her toy nearby. Carry the toy back, place it in her basket and pet her to update the quest. Take drops carefully on the way back so Dylan does not lose the toy. Once you have helped her in all seven zones, she waits for you in the Gap. If you are travelling through every zone anyway, The Last Taxi and Freeze Frame also have stops in each zone.

Central Zone

Central Zone Dog Location

The dog is on the roof in the far east of the Central Field Office.

Central Zone Toy Location

The toy is in the alley below, the one with the Hiss lasers. Pick it up, carry it back up to the roof and place it in the dog’s basket. Pet the dog to update the quest.

Downtown Zone

The dog is in the southwest of Downtown at the dead end by the chasm, on the rooftop on the right side.

Downtown Zone Toy Location

You can see the toy on the roof across the road. Pick it up, then climb the rooftops until you are high enough to double-jump and float back over to the dog. Place the toy in her basket and pet her to update the quest.

Evacuation Zone

The dog is on an upside down roof in the center north of the Evacuation Zone.

Evacuation Zone Toy Location

When you stand next to the dog, the toy is on the ceiling above you. Once you have it, walk to the part of the roof where the space gets tight. From there you can double-jump and swap roofs to bring the toy to the dog. Place it in her basket and pet her to update the quest.

The Park Zone

The dog is on the roof in the northwestern corner of The Park map.

The Park Zone Toy Location

The toy is at the top of the unpowered elevator, across the roof to the northeast. Bring it back to the dog’s basket and pet her to update the quest.

If you don’t know how to power the elevator, here is how. First, go to the Power Core Station to the west and use a melee attack on one of the active power cores.

Carry the power east to the room on the roof with the Ability Door at the top. Use Ground Slam to get inside and transfer the power to one of the empty cores there.

This resets the power timer, so you can carry the power on to the core at the base of the elevator. Call the elevator at the controls and ride to the top to get the toy.

Underpass Zone

Underpass Zone Dog Location

The dog is north of the Research Site, on an island above it. From the Research Site, cross over towards the spiky red floor, but don’t step onto it. Right after crossing, take the passage on the right towards the dog’s island.

From there, shift a couple of times to reach the dog.

Underpass Zone Toy Location

Stand in front of the dog, turn around and look up. The toy is on the ceiling.

To reach it, look left past the dog and follow the red tiles upwards. They lead to a spot where you can shift onto the ceiling.

Pick up the toy and drop it on purpose. It falls to the floor and stays there. To get Dylan back down to the level of the dog, use Reach on a nearby orb. Then pick up the toy, place it in the basket and pet the dog to update the quest.

Unknown Zone

The dog is on the easternmost roof on Tower Island.

Look up at the tower. There is a billboard with dogs on it and a bar sign, and the toy is up there.

To get it, flip the environment 90 degrees and head to the rooftop closest to the bar terrace.

Jump onto the terrace and shift so you can reach the toy. On the way back, take the drops carefully so Dylan does not drop the toy. Place it in the dog’s basket and pet her to update the quest.

West Incursion Zone

The dog is in the northwest of the West Incursion Zone, on a roof that sits at a 90 degree angle to the road.

West Incursion Zone Toy Location

The toy dinosaur is on the ground just south of the dog. Pick it up, carry it to her basket and pet her to update the quest.

Last Step: Meet the Dog in the Gap

Location: The Gap, near the mural

Once you have helped the dog in all seven zones, travel to the Gap. She is waiting for you near the mural. Pet her to complete Every Dog Has Her Day.
