Dead Drop is an optional side quest in the Prologue of The Blood of Dawnwalker, and the only one that costs you nothing. No time blocks, no villagers, and it can still be finished after the Prologue. Follow a trail of carvings out of the Outcast’s graveyard to a hidden stash holding the Ring of Purging and a letter that names Brencis. You can also do it before Withering Away, or after Like Father, Like Son by not waiting with father.

Dead Drop – Quest Start
This quest does not consume any time slots. Visit the Outcast’s graveyard in the northeast of Laslea Glen and look at the grave by the entrance to start the quest.
1 – Look for Clues Around the Grave
Mission Text:
“If I want to solve the mystery, I need to look for clues around the old grave.”
Investigate the other grave here – the grave of Vasil’s mother. Then, follow the tracks away from the cemetery.
Follow the Carvings Uphill
The tracks lead to a carved tree. From there, follow the carvings and the tracks straight ahead and uphill. Each carving marks the route to the next one, so use Focus Mode if you lose the trail between them.
Find the Hidden Stash
There is a large carved tree at the end of the trail. Inspect the carved symbol on it and a pile at its base will be revealed.
Loot the pile to receive:
Mysterious Letter (Quest)
Ring of Purging
Denarius
The letter will warn someone in Sangora and that they should not intervene and alert Brecis.
