Return of the River – Favours Quest

Head to the south west of THE JUNGLE map. There is an overgrown elevator. Shoot a pink arrow and burn it with your blades.

Take the elevator up. Then look for the round, yellow detonation point in the dam wall. Throw the spear at it and make it explode. Now you can get inside the dam.

On the other side of the dam is a blocked crank wheel. You have to burn two sets of plants. The smaller one is easily accessible with your blades. Burn that off. Then, where those plants were, you can shoot a row of pink arrows to the other plants. Like indicated with the arrows in the screenshots.

Now use the crank wheel to open the flood gates. Then go back upside to see the change of environment.

Jungle Nornir Chest

Use the crank wheel of the dam in the RETURN OF THE RIVER QUEST to bring back the water and the Boat Docks. Then, take the boat to the south of the Jungle map, where you find the Nornir Chest next to the MYSTIC GATEWAY: THE JUNGLE.

There are three “turning runes” to be found. Turn them to rune that is on the chest.

“B” Rune

The “B” Rune is on top of the Celestial Altar. Grapple up to a higher spot and you can set it to “B” from there.

“n” Rune

Go up to the Celestial Altar and look up to the other side. There is the overgrown Turning Rune. Use pink arrows to burn the plants away, then set it to “n”.

“E” Rune

While standing in front of the Nornir Chest, look up to the right. There is the Turning Rune. Throw your axe at one of the shields to set it to “E”.

Jungle Legendary Chests

1 – Trail of the Dead, Dragon Hunt Ruins

You have just done the RETURN OF THE RIVER QUEST and came out of the dam to see a Dragon catching dinner. This will start the TRAIL OF THE DEAD QUEST. Take the nearest boat to the Boat Dock to the south, where the Celestial Altar and the Mystic Gateway: The Jungle are.

Grapple up east from the Celestial Altar and follow the path drop down to the right, then go to the left, where you will do a series of grapples.

But to be able to use the final grapple spot and reach the other side of the ruins, you have to burn away some plants again. Look up and shoot a couple of pink arrows on the ceiling to do so. Now you can grapple over to open the Legendary Chest on the other side.

2 – Path of Destruction

Do the RETURN OF THE RIVER QUEST first. Then use the Celestial Altar – make sure it’s daytime. You will find this Quest while doing the PATH OF DESTRUCTION – FAVOURS QUEST.

Take the boat to the east of the map. There is a boat dock and the fight against Ogres ahead. After you’ve defeated the Ogres, you can see a blocked passage that you can pull open.

Cross the bridge and turn right, past the stag. In this area, some plants will attack you again. You need to find and destroy the main bulb. To do so, ignore the flowers and the trapped, red glowing chest and go all the way to where the purple poison flower is.

Freeze the purple flower long-term. Shoot it with a pink arrow first, then throw the axe at it. Then, from the edge you can shoot another pink arrow and burn the bulb with the blades.

Now you can squeeze through a nearby wall to get to the drake’s nest.

Climb down to the big hole in the ground. You’re now in a cage. The Legendary Chest is in this same room, but behind the bars. To lift the cage, shoot a pink arrow at the cog, then throw the axe at the wooden target. Instant recall the axe and throw it at the cog.

Jungle Lore

1 – Lore Marker: Unforgiven

This Lore Marker is on top of the dam in the south west of the Jungle. You will get there while doing the RETURN OF THE RIVER Favours Quest. To get on top of the dam, you have to take the elevator up at this position. You have to burn off the plants first with a pink arrow and your blades.

2 – Rune Reads: City of Possibility

This Lore is at the same location as the LEGENDARY CHEST 2. The rune is down in the drake’s nest with the cage. It’s written on one of the walls next to the cage.

Jungle Artifact

1 – Kvasir’s Poem – An Organisation: In the Future

This Artefact is in the big ruins across the river in the south. During the day, the passage to reach them is blocked. So first you have to change to night time at the Celestial Altar. Check out the Legendary Chest Guide in The Plains to see how to get to the Celestial Altar if you’re not sure. At night, the passage is open and you can walk across a natural bridge across a former river to enter the ruins through an impressive entrance.

Follow the path into the ruins until you have to climb over a big gap. At the other side is the Artefact glowing purple on the floor.

Jungle Odin’s Raven

Do the RETURN OF THE RIVER QUEST first. Now you can take the boat to the east of the map. There is a boat dock and the fight against Ogres ahead. After you’ve defeated the Ogres, you can see and hear the Raven above the big, red glowing chest.

Jungle Dragon Hunts

1 – What Lies Below

Drain the water at the crank wheel side of the dam in the RETURN OF THE RIVER QUEST. In the same area, go towards where the water now drained. You could cross now, but the gap is too big to just jump. You have to throw your spear into the spouting hole in the wall above the gap. You can do that from the other side of the hole.

Now, with the spear in the hole, you can twirl over to the other side, drop the chain down and fight the Dreki.

2 – Trail of the Dead

You have just done the RETURN OF THE RIVER QUEST and came out of the dam to see a Dragon catching dinner. This will start the TRAIL OF THE DEAD QUEST.

Before you head to the Dragon, take care of super annoying Ogres that keep you from climbing up to the Dragon’s nest. Take the boat to the east of the map. There is a boat dock and the fight against Ogres ahead. After you’ve defeated the Ogres, you can also shoot one of Odin’s Raven’s while you’re there.

Return to the boat and go to the Boat Dock in the south, where the Celestial Altar and the Mystic Gateway: The Jungle are. Grapple up east from the Celestial Altar and follow the path drop down to the right, then go to the left, where you will do a series of grapples.

From the Legendary Chest go to the right, where you can climb up the wall and fight the Dragon.
