Temple of Light Nornir Chest Location

There is one Nornir Chest in the Temple of Light – Alfheim and here’s how to open it. You can find the chest towards the end of the Temple of Light walkthrough, just after you’ve crossed the Bifrost Bridge.

You have to find the three runes on the chest in the area and hit them with your axe. They will move and hum for a while and then return to their positions. Hit all of them while they are still moving and humming to open the chest. So make yourself familiar with their positions and then be quick!

“C” Rune

The “C” Rune is behind the “R” Rune in a small, round balcony.

“R” Rune

The “R” Rune is just next to the Nornir Chest.

“n” Rune

Behind the Nornir Chest is a corridor going down. Notice the big purple deflecting crystal. You can hit it from further away to activate the “n”- Rune.

Now you just have to be quick. Shoot the three runes with your axe. “C” first, then “R” and the “n” Rune last. Then you can open the chest.

Temple of Light Legendary Chests (All 3 Locations)

There are three Legendary Chests

1 – Base of the Staircase

Go through the Temple of Light, until you can grapple swing over a big chasm using two hanging ornaments. As you continue on this path you will get to a big staircase. At the base is a yellow shining chest. From this ledge, look down and you will see this Legendary Chest.

To get to it, climb the stairs until you will see a drop down point to the left of the stairs. Go down there and after that, look for another climbing spot down. Freya will say something like: “I wonder where this path goes.” Well, at the bottom is the Legendary Chest you saw from the base of the Big Staircase.

2 – Wheel Puzzle Door of Light

In the story, there is a Door of Light Puzzle, where you have to go down and turn a wheel to turn the purple crystal. Go down to the wheel level again. Go through the big door down there. There is a puzzle where you can pull a chain to raise a purple crystal to drop a platform with a Legendary Chest on it.

To start, grab the chain and pull it down all the way. You noticed the shield you have to hit above the platform but there does not seem a way to do it? As soon as the crystal is at the top, use your axe to deflect it on the crystal. Throw it when you get a blue line. As the axe is stuck there, just let go of the chain and the platform goes up again. Now recall your axe. The shield will be destroyed and the platform can now be accessed from below.

3 – Ornament Swing – Door of Light Puzzle

In the story, there is a Door of Light Puzzle, where you have to go down and turn a wheel to turn the purple crystal. Go through this door and through the gate at the top. This is the area where Tyr helped you swing over by using two hanging ornaments. There is a Legendary Chest here.

Instead of swinging straight ahead, like you did in the story, swing to the left. You will end up at a platform, where you can swing a crystal to the left or to the right with your blades. Swing it to the right and then, quickly, deflect your axe on it to hit the light crystal behind the swinging crystal.

The Door of Light to the Legendary Chest is now down. Use the ornaments to grapple to the left and onto the building to open the chest.

Temple of Light Lore Locations

There are two Lore to find in The Temple of Light. Here’s where they are.

1 – Scrolls – Bifrost Bridge

Go through the Temple of Light, until you can grapple swing over a big chasm using two hanging ornaments. As you continue on this path you will get to a big staircase.

To get to it, climb the stairs until you will see a drop down point to the left of the stairs. Go down, head right and then left. The Lore Scroll is a the end of this corridor. You will pick it up automatically when you walk to it.

2 – Rune Reads – Limitless

At the very top of the Temple of Light is the elevator that you take up to the very top. In the story, Tyr jumped onto the hanging purple crystal so Kratos could destroy the last light crystal to enter the elevator.

To the left and right of the elevator are two tall statues. Go up the elevator staircase and look to the right towards the right statue. There is a shimmering green point that you can destroy with a sonic arrow. When you do, you will create a new grapple point. Use it and you can read the scroll at the other side.

Temple of Light Artifacts (Kvasir’s Poems)

There are two Artifacts in the Temple of Light – Alfheim and here’s how to get them.

1 – Kvasir’s Poems – Visions after Rest

Go up the first big staircase in the Temple of Light until you get to another Light Door Puzzle, where the crystal is hanging behind a barrier in a little garden. Enter the garden and climb up on the second floor at the back. Where you throw the axe to open the door is the Artifact.

2 – Kvasir’s Poems – Spirits within Walls

In the story, there is a Door of Light Puzzle, where you have to go down and turn a wheel to turn the purple crystal. Do so and go through this Door of Light. On the other side, on the left, is a small room with this Artifact on the table.

Odin’s Ravens (Temple of Light)

Go through the Temple of Light, until you can grapple swing over a big chasm using two hanging ornaments. As you continue on this path you will get to a big staircase. Climb the stairs until you see a drop down point to the left of the stairs. Go down there, head right and then right again.

You will see the green raven behind a shut gate. Did you notice the purple crystals? Use them to deflect your axe to hit the raven.

The second of Odin’s Ravens is after you’ve crossed the Bifrost Bridge, walked past the Nornir Chest above. Follow the path up until you reach another pillar of light going up. The Raven is just behind it next to the staircase up.
