How to Start Spirits of the Dalish

Quest: Spirits of the Dalish (Faction Quest)
Quest Giver: Anxious Spirit
Location: Ruins Reach, Arlathan Forest

Return to Arlathan Forest and speak with the Anxious Spirit on the boat at Ruins Reach to start the quest. The spirit asks you to find five Clan Mementos to uncover what happened to the Dalish clan.

Accepting the quest places five markers on your map. Each marker turns into a search radius as you get closer, so use the map images below to pinpoint the exact spot.

1 – Halla Statuette near Ruins Reach

Memento: 1 of 5 – Halla Statuette
Location: Ruins Reach, Arlathan Forest

Look for an “Investigate” prompt in the southern part of the search radius, close to Ruins Reach. Interact with it to pick up the Halla Statuette.

2 – Scorched Relic at the Ancient Aqueduct

Location: Ancient Aqueduct, Arlathan Forest

Head to the Ancient Aqueduct and search the charred boat in the water to find the Scorched Relic.

3 – Shelter Memento at the Riverside Ruins

Location: Riverside Ruins, Arlathan Forest

At the Riverside Ruins, find the small cave. The Shelter Memento is hidden inside.

4 – Tree Statues Memento in the Shadowy Grove

Location: Shadowy Grove, Arlathan Forest

In the Shadowy Grove you come across the strange tree statues. Climb the rock behind them, to the left of the forcefield gate, to find the memento.

5 – Broken Eluvian Memento in the Shadowy Grove

Memento: 5 of 5 – Broken Eluvian
Location: Shadowy Grove, Arlathan Forest

The last memento is also in the Shadowy Grove, next to a Broken Eluvian. Search the area around the broken mirror to pick it up.

6 – Discover the Fate of the Dalish Clan

Objective: Discover the Fate of the Dalish Clan
Location: Ruins Reach, Arlathan Forest

With all five Clan Mementos collected, return to the Anxious Spirit on the boat at Ruins Reach and talk to it. This unlocks the final objective, Perform the Rite.

7 – How to Perform the Rite

Quest: Spirits of the Dalish (Faction Quest)
Objective: Perform the Rite
Location: Above the owl statue at Ruins Reach, Arlathan Forest

Go to the stones just above the owl statue and use Harding’s Eternal Hymn to move the wall aside so you can pass through.

On the other side, use the Eternal Hymn once more to reposition the wall. This lets you enter the bright vortex that leads to the altar. Interact with the altar to perform the rite and lay the Dalish clan to rest.

Spirits of the Dalish Rewards

Completing the rite ends Spirits of the Dalish and rewards you with 500 XP and 100 Veil Jumpers Strength.
