Alternating Currents – Starfield Miscellaneous Mission Walkthrough

Mission text:
“Louisa Reyez is still working on the power drain in the Well. She wants backup before talking to the Trade Authority.”

Talk to Louisa. She made her way from the office to the Trade Authority. When you talk to her you can still decide not to help her.

Mission text:
“I’ve agreed to help Louisa Reyez confront the Trade Authority in the Well in New Atlantis. I need to make sure she stays safe.”

Follow Louisa inside Trade Authority. Zoe from Trade Authority will disappear into her private office, where she will just stare at a shelf for a while. Talk to Louisa while she does. Louisa wants to avoid violence. Let’s try that.

Mission text:

Let Louisa handle the situation.

“Louisa Reyez is now working with Zoe Kaminski of the Trade Authority in New Atlantis to track down the origins of a power drain. I need to help them by shutting down certain power junction boxes.”

For the Junction Box, go back to Jake’s bar. Behind it there is a staircase with the sign “Upper Level”.

At the top of the stairs you can look down to the Well from high above. Make sure you go to the very top!

Follow the platform path to the other side. There is a broken piece of floor missing in the way to the the Junction Box. Jump across to activate the Junction Box. Next you have to activate either Box 45A or 47B. 45A is Louisa’s box and 47B Zoe’s. See below where both are. You will get different communications, but the end result will be the same.

For Junction Box 45 A, go to Apex Electronics, just outside Trade Authority. You can climb up onto the Apex Electronics’ roof and interact with the Junction Box there, behind a silver door.

For Junction Box 47B just jump over the gap in the floor again from the last Junction Box. You walked passed it when you went to the last box.

For the last Junction Box you have to go back to the surface. The mission marker points to the freight elevator at the back of Med Bay that takes you up to the MAST’s NAT station.

The Junction Box is in the Commercial District just behind CJ’S shop.

“I’ve traced the source of the power drain in the Well to the Athena Tower building in New Atlantis. I need to investigate further.”

Enter the Athena building and take the elevator up to the apartment. Pick the Novice lock and enter.

Interact with the computer on the desk to find evidence. Select “Download Files”. Now you can either choose to “DELIVER EVIDENCE TO LOUISA REYEZ” or “DELIVER EVIDENCE TO ZOE KAMINSKI“.

Mission text:
“I’ve found proof that someone is drawing huge amounts of power to hack into GalBank’s system in New Atlantis. I need to decide who should get the data: either Louisa Reyez of MAST or Zoe Kaminski of the Trade Authority.”

Deliver the evidence to the person of your choice.
Louisa will be glad you’ve made the right choice.
Zoe will tell you that MAST will only get what it needs to see from the evidence and that the Trade Authority will “never forget what you’ve done.”
This will finish the mission.
