Outcast A New Beginning: A Ventilope for Everything Walkthrough

1 – Talk to Tanak, the Village Chief

Location: Sappa

Like in every new village, start by talking to the village chief, Tanak, about everything he offers. To find him faster, scan the village: important villagers show their names and jobs, and they have a yellow head symbol on the minimap.

2 – Talk to Barram, the Fishertalon

Location: Sappa, beach near the boats

Barram tells you that Zaleb, the Shamaz of Sappa, once healed a Gamor.

3 – Talk to Zaleb, the Shamaz

Location: Zaleb’s hut in Sappa

Talk to Zaleb in his hut about Gamors. He tells you that the Gamors outside Sappa threaten the village and must be dealt with.

4 – Kill Gamors

Location: Near Sappa

Select the quest in the Sappa menu on the map and go to the marked spot. There are two kinds of Gamors: brown ones and blue armored ones. Use melee attacks to defeat the blue ones.

5 – Talk to Zaleb about Yunair’s Disappearance

Location: Zaleb’s hut in Sappa

Return to Zaleb and ask him about Yunair’s disappearance. Yunair is the Ventilope tamer of Sappa.

6 – Talk to Tanak about Zaleb

Location: Sappa

Go back to Tanak and talk to him about Zaleb, if you haven’t done so already.

7 – Talk to Zaleb about the Ventilope Club

Location: Zaleb’s hut in Sappa

Return to Zaleb and talk to him about the Ventilope Club. He gives you the location where you can find Yunair.

8 – Find Yunair at the SAP-0 Prison Base

Location: SAP-0 Prison Base, southeastern tip of the map

Yunair is held prisoner at the SAP-0 Prison Base in the southeastern tip of the map.

In the base, scan for the terminals that are connected with each other. Interact with all three terminals to open Yunair’s cell on the ground floor of one of the buildings.

9 – Talk to Yunair about Ventilopes

Location: Sappa

Return to Sappa and talk to Yunair about Ventilopes. He sends you to lure a female Ventilope to the village.

10 – Lure Female Ventilope

Location: Rock formations on the way to Sappa

Follow the blue minimap marker to an orange larva hole high up on a rock formation and shoot it to lure the female Ventilope. As soon as she starts eating, move on to the next orange larva hole and shoot it too. The minimap highlights the larva holes one after the other, so keep going until you reach the village.

Back in Sappa, the female Ventilope lures male Ventilopes to the village, where they get tamed. There’s nothing else to do for this step.

11 – Talk to Yunair about Ventilope Oil

Location: Sappa

If you haven’t done so yet, talk to Yunair about Ventilope Oil. He’s at his usual spot. If you can’t see him, scan for him.

12 – Gather Ventilope Oil

Location: Ventilope nests in Sappa

Sappa is now full of Ventilopes. Look for their nests, where you can pick up the Ventilope Oil.

Ventilope Oil Not Showing in the Nest?

Some players can’t select anything in the nests. The oil usually sits in the nest of the first Ventilope you lured, near Yunair. If it doesn’t show up, do a mission or two elsewhere and come back, or reload your save and scan the nests again.

Before Step 13: Finish Explosive Idea

To continue this quest, you first have to do the Explosive Idea Sappa Village Quest to deliver bombs to Sappa.

13 – Create Sappa’s Ventilope Beacon

Location: Nhurkan’s house next to the fast-travel gate in Prokriana

Travel to Prokriana to craft the Ventilope Beacon. Just like for the beacon in Research that Sting!, Nhurkan is the one who makes it. He is in the house right by the fast-travel gate.

Open Nhurkan’s shop and select the Ventilope Beacon. It needs 1 Krakit Gland (from the crawly spiders), 25 Green Helidium and 1 Ventilope Oil. Crafting it completes A Ventilope for Everything.

What Happens Next
