Off-Color Walkthrough – Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

Find the Spellbound Woods Entrance

The Spellbound Woods entrance is in the northwest of the Palette Prime map, near the large tree. A Darkmess Puddle called A Ghostly Sunset guards the entrance – defeat it to earn the Zephyrquake Spark and open the path into the woods.

Go Towards the Tentacle in the Forest

Enter the Spellbound Woods and you will find a Darkmess barrier blocking the path just ahead of the Fast Travel Flag, with yellow footsteps on the ground. Use the yellow Scan Power to follow the footsteps to a ladder and climb up.

At the top there is an egg. Dash it, pick it up, and throw it onto the Darkmess Eye to destroy it. Head back down and activate the Spellbound Woods Entrance Fast Travel Flag.

Follow the path left until you reach a large stone block with a yellow swirl. Use the yellow Scan Power – the swirl turns into arrows pointing left, revealing a hidden white pipe. Go through it.

On the other side you will find another white pipe and golden footsteps. The footsteps lead to a ladder and a locked pipe requiring 24 Sparks – come back for that later. Take the white pipe now. Once through, you will notice the floor looks unusual. Use the yellow Scan Power to reveal a hidden movable box.

Push the box to the edge and drop it off, then use the ladder to go down and land the box on the green pressure plate. The barrier disappears and the path is clear.

The Path to the Tentacle Woods

Past the barrier you will find a pond on your left, with a Darkmess Eye and a blue-pipe Blue Coin challenge to the right – save that for later. For this Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope walkthrough, go around the pond to the left.

You will reach a white pipe and, note for later, a blue triangle device. Take the white pipe up. There is an egg up here – dash it, pick it up, and throw it at the nearby Darkmess Eye to destroy it and open the path.

Fight the Forest Rush Darkmess Puddle at the end of the path, then continue up to reach the Abandoned Well Fast Travel Flag.

Leap into the Abandoned Well

Jump down the well, walk past the Robot Shop, and use the pipe to slide further down.

Where you exit the pipe, use the yellow Scan Power to reveal a hidden ladder. Climb down – there is an egg at the bottom. Use it to destroy the nearby Darkmess Eye.

Pick up the green triangle next to the green barrier, then use the white pipe to go back up. Where you see a row of coins, use the yellow Scan Power to reveal a bridge leading to the green triangle device. Place the triangle in the device.

Go back down through the white pipe. The green barrier is now gone. Use the ladder to continue deeper into the well, following the wooden path until you reach a chasm. Cross it with the yellow Scan Power.

You will arrive at a barrier that requires a yellow cube. Go through the white pipe ahead. On the other side, look for a circle of coins – the yellow cube is hidden inside. Use the Scan Power to reveal it, pick it up, and bring it back through the pipe to the device at the barrier.

Continue downward to reach the Roots of Corruption boss at the bottom. In this fight you must shoot all eyes blocking the elevator in the same turn for the central goo to disappear. That rule applies throughout the entire battle: all three eyes must be hit in the same round each time. Win the fight to complete the Off-Color quest and add Electrogeddon to your team.
