Gotham’s zoo in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has sprung a leak. All 21 escaped animals are scattered across 8 districts, and each one needs a tracker attached before they can be returned. Some stand still, some bolt the moment they spot you, and a few will charge. This guide covers every location with coordinates and district maps, so you can check them off without backtracking.

1 – East End
East End has two animal activities, both clustered in the eastern part of the district near the train station. One requires patience to sneak up on, while the other just needs a bit of vertical exploration across rooftops and platforms.
Coordinates in the brackets
1 – Un-Bear-able (415, 825)
2 – Some Slow Bros (470, 829)
Un-Bear-able
Coordinates: 415, 825
There is a bear playing in a basketball court in the east of East End. Study its movements to sneak up on it.
Some Slow Bros
Coordinates: 470, 829
Find and catch five sloths in the east of East End. They’re just hanging in a relaxed way and won’t flee. I spotted the first two hanging on the roofs of the two buildings.
The third is on the ground floor, hanging near one of the two buildings.
The fourth is up on the train station platform.
The fifth and last one is above the train station.
2 – Gotham Village
Gotham Village is the busiest district for zoo animals, with five separate activities spread across the park, the botanical gardens, and the highway underpass. Most animals here require sneaking, so use the environment – lanterns, shadows, and sight lines – to your advantage.
Pack It Up
Coordinates: 191, 679
In the southwest of Gotham Village – Robinson Park, by the water is a pack of 3 wolves. Two of them are highlighted in the screenshot below.
The third one is waiting around the corner.
I Ain’t Lion!
Coordinates: 245, 771
In the north of Gotham Village are two lions patrolling a fountain. You can sneak up on them if you time it right.
Tree Trunks
Coordinates: 261, 701
There are two elephants in the park in the south of Gotham Village near the Botanical Gardens. Use the lanterns to sneak up on them.
Spotty Reception
Coordinates: 314, 683
There are three leopards in the Botanical Garden’s outer park. If you time it right, you can sneak up on them. Two of them are together. Use the lanterns to get yourself in position.
The third is across the bridge on the other side of the park.
Fur-ious
Coordinates: 348, 717
There are three polar bears near the Newtown GCPD building, underneath the highway. Two of them are visible from the GCPD itself.
The third can be spotted from the other side.
3 – Newtown
Newtown has three activities covering a panther, a group of frogs, and a trio of parrots. The area around the Gotham Museum and the train tracks is worth exploring on multiple vertical levels, as some animals are easy to miss if you only stay on the ground.
Coordinates in the brackets
1 – Cat-ch Up (399, 641)
2 – Hip Hoppers (314, 610)
3 – Polly Want a Tracker? (294, 657)
Cat-ch Up
Coordinates: 399, 641
There is a Panther walking around at the café below the Gotham Museum. Put a tracker at it’s back. Hint: It walks counterclockwise.
Hip Hoppers
Coordinates: 314, 610
At Hip Hoppers, you have to find and catch 4 frogs – they will stay where they are, no matter what. My first one is sitting on the train tracks.
The second one is sitting on top of the building above the train tracks.
The third one is on the same building but on the western side.
The last one is between the second and the third, but higher up on the eastern side.
Polly Want a Tracker?
Coordinates: 294, 657
In the east of Newtown is an area where you have to catch three blue parrots. My first one is in the west of the activity marker, at the Gotham Central Station.
The second one is close to the Miller and Moore Attorneys at Law building and billboard, just above where the tracked parrots will fly to.
The third and last is sitting by the ground-floor fountain.
4 – The Cauldron North
Only one activity here, but the red macaws can be frustrating if they spot you and scatter. Fast-travelling back to the Subwayne resets their positions, so don’t stress if they fly off before you can tag them.
Coordinates in the brackets
1 – Making a Macawry (232, 551)
Making a Macawry
Coordinates: 232, 551
Making a Macawry is the only escaped zoo animal at The Cauldron North. You are looking for red parrots that will flee when they see them. If they do, and you can’t find them, just fast-travel to the Subwayne to reset the location.
The first one is sitting close to an updraft vent north of the activity marker on the map.
A second parrot near one of the top chimneys. You can balance on top of a cable from the other chimney to quietly approach it.
The last one is south, below the roof, where the tracked parrots will fly to.
5 – Old Gotham West
Two activities in Old Gotham West, including the single most straightforward catch in the game and one of the trickier stalking encounters. The district’s Subwayne puzzle is also in this section – you’ll need Catwoman to unlock it.
Coordinates in the brackets
1 – Toucan Play At That Game (291, 502)
2 – Yes. YES. The Tiger is Out (274, 438)
Toucan Play At That Game
Coordinates: 291, 502
Toucan Play at that Game is in the north of Old Gotham West. There has to be only one Toucan caught. It’s on ground level.
Yes. YES. The Tiger is Out.
Coordinates: 274, 438
In the center of Old Gotham West is a very big statue with a magnifying glass. The tiger that needs to be tagged is walking around at its base.
Coordinates: 302, 474
The Subwayne is in the north of Old Gotham West. There are three graffiti artists blocking the tunnel. You can talk to the cleaner with the yellow helmet to the left of the Subwayne.
Switch to Catwoman and use the Whip on the wire mechanism next to the Subwayne. This will lower a platform with three buckets and two targets. Shoot both targets to drop the water in the buckets onto the sprayers. You can then press the button – the Subwayne is open for business.
6 – Old Gotham North
Old Gotham North has a coyote chase and a koala hunt that spans multiple levels of Atlantic Square station. The koalas are relaxed and won’t flee, but the coyotes require a careful approach from behind.
Coordinates in the brackets
1 – Not So Wily (365, 366)
2 – Under Koalafied (419, 443)
Not So Wily
Coordinates: 365, 366
There are three coyotes in this location. All three are marked on the screenshot below. They have to be approached from the back, or they run away.
Under Koalafied
Coordinates: 419, 443
There are four koalas in this area. They are chill and don’t move as you approach.
This place has multiple levels, where the koalas are hanging out. Two of them are marked on the screenshot below.
The third is up on the platform 2 of the Atlantic Square station.
The fourth is on the same level as the previous one, but on the other side of the tracks.
7 – Old Gotham South
The most varied district, with four activities ranging from a combat-style polar bear encounter tied to Mission 7, to meerkats hiding across park levels, including the sewers/underpass. Take your time here – several animals are tucked away in spots you wouldn’t naturally look.
Coordinates in the brackets
1 – Polar Bear (385, 226)
2 – C’meercat (256, 279)
3 – Zebra Crossing (329, 284)
4 – Find Cobblenet (261, 343)
Polar Bear
Coordinates: 385, 226
The Polar Bear is part of Mission 7: The Penguin. It acts like a brute thug enemy. It will charge at you, and you have to dodge. Make it bump into a wall, so it gets confused. Approach it from behind to attach the animal tracker.
C’meerkat
Coordinates: 256, 279
There are five meerkats hiding in the southern waterfront park.
The first is between the pavilion and the park gate, the second meerkat is in the pavilion.
The third is under the tree in the southern corner of the park, by the water. For the fourth, follow the seaside wall to the north to find it by the playground.
The last meercat is down in the sewers. There is a staircase near the fountain. Follow it down to the bottom to find the meercat.
Zebra Crossing
Coordinates: 329, 284
The Zebra can be caught just southeast of the Subwayne on the ground level of Old Gotham South. It is standing southwest of the Escaped Zoo Animal symbol on the map, at the road crossings. Approach it from the back and attach a tracker.
Find Cobblenot
Coordinates: 261, 343
In Cobblenot, you have to find three penguins in the northwest of Old Gotham South. They will run away when they see you.
One of them is sitting on the ground floor east of the marker on the map.
The second is sitting at the base of the northern stairs.
The third penguin is at the bottom of the stairs in the southwest, near a Batcave Trophy collectible.
8 – Tricorner
Tricorner wraps things up with a bear near the docks and four pythons hidden across two levels of a building site. Both are straightforward once you know the layout, and neither animal is especially alert.
Coordinates in the brackets
1 – Bear with Me (130, 127)
2 – Bye-bye, Hiss American Python (235, 155)
Bear with Me
Coordinates: 130, 127
A bear has escaped near Tricorner Docks. Sneak around to its back and attach the tracker – no fighting needed if you’re quick.
Bye-bye, Hiss American Python
Coordinates: 235, 155
Four pythons are hiding across two levels of a building site between Falcone’s Fishery and the GCPD Tricorner building. Approach each one from behind to tag them safely.
You can see which level you’re on at the staircase. The first Python is at Level 4, hiding between the boxes.
The second Python is on the same level, but on the other side. The third one is on level two, below the previous Python.
The fourth is also on the second level, amongst the cardboard boxes at the center.
