How to Unlock the Odeck Tribe Faction

Help out the Longleaf Tribe in the south of Odeck, and then you will get a notification that the Black Bears are causing trouble near Odeck.

Executioner of Justice

Description
The Black Bears are occupying Odeck and are spreading red smoke.

Travel to Odeck and speak to the person at the Odeck Floodgate. He will give you the quest “The Black Bear and the Red Smoke” with three locations for where the Red Smoke rises. Volstein Ruins, Volvior Ruins, and Verheim Ruins.

Investigate the three locations. I started with Volvior Ruins, the closest to the village. Fight Tarandus the Ashen by the cauldron there until he disappears to re-appear at the next location. Once he’s gone and the Black Bears are defeated, stab the cauldron. Once the sword is stuck inside, Pierce it to drain the contents. Do this with all three locations.

Return to the Odeck Floodgate and talk to the only survivor, who will be struck down by Tarandus the Ashen, and Kliff will be pushed into the lake.

Now you can head to Odeck Village to defeat Tarandus the Ashen.

The Guardian’s Tomb

Description
Even though the Black Bears are gone from the village, there is still a resident who seems troubled.

In the Odeck Village, head uphill towards the northwest to find a troubled villager.

Odeck Ruins

Description
Find the entrance to the ruins within the mountains near Odeck.

Travel west from Odeck along the river to find the General’s Tomb at the end of the stream and examine the ruins. In those ruins lives a strong being.

Make sure you’re well prepared before you enter and fight the slumbering guardian deity of the Odeck Ruins.
