All Notes – A Game of Wits Mystery
A Game of Wits Start
Go to the north side of Voss’ camp and find the canteen or mess hall. Head upstairs, where you’ll see a safe next to the infirmary. Interact with the safe to begin the mystery, or pick up the Mystery Note on the table beside it to get started.
Note 1 – Lorenzo’s Challenge
The note mocks Bartolomeo, the creator of the Counting Letters Mystery. Lorenzo dares Bartolomeo to figure out the code to the safe.
Description
“Note in Italian challenging a soldier to win a game of Mak-Yek.”
The note provides the following hints:
“Capture all the red units by moving four different blue units, each only once. Use the row numbers of the moved blue units to figure out the code to the safe.”
Note 2 – Mak-Yek Rules
In the same spot as the previous note, there’s also a paper explaining the Mak-Yek rules.
Description
“Italian translation of the rules for playing Mak-Yek.”
Mak-Yek Rules:
“Movement: Pieces can move horizontally or vertically any number of squares, stopping when they hit an obstacle. Diagonal movement is not allowed. To capture an enemy piece, surround it on two sides with your own pieces.”
Don’t forget to turn the page. There are some more rules at the back!
