3 – King’s Elephant Shrine
Elephant in the Room – Start
Begin the mystery by going to Voss’ camp in the northeast corner of the map. From there, head north within the camp to reach the shrine entrance. Take a picture of the Elephant Statue for the Field Notes before you enter!
Note 1 – Buddhist Shrine
Enter the shrine and take a picture of the centerpiece.
Description
“A beautiful shrine to Buddha. Perhaps it’s harboring some kind of secret.”
Find the elephant statuette in one of the temple’s alcoves and place it on the small round platform below the shrine’s centerpiece statue.
This will reveal two more alcoves. One contains a round platform missing a statuette, while the other is blocked by wooden boards. Use the lighter to burn the boards. Behind them, you’ll find another elephant statuette. Place it on the second platform.
This will open another alcove below the centerpiece shrine statue. It looks like we’re missing another elephant. Take the first elephant off its socket and place it on the third socket below the centerpiece.
This will open a path to the left of the main shrine statue.
Note 2 – Rebel Journal
Enter and you will find a note to the left and another statuette socket to the right, in an alcove.
Description
“Entry written in Siamese concerning a secret hideout.”
To solve the “Elephant in the Room” mystery, look up to locate the whip’s connection point. Your goal is to climb.
From there, use another whip connector above to swing to the top level. You’ll find the third elephant in an alcove. Take it to the round pedestal near the entrance of the room.
All three alcoves below the large shrine statue are now open. Place the three elephants into the sockets, adjusting them as needed. Once all three are in place, the passage to the right of the main shrine statue will open.
Note 3 – King’s Elephant Shrine
Step into the second chamber to see the King’s Elephant Shrine. Don’t forget to take a photo!
Description
“The skeleton of a sacred elephant, with a memorial inscribed on a plaque.”
